2007 International Food & Wine Festival (Marketplace Booth Details Now Available!)

We'll definatly be going to a Party for the Senses. $270 though. The last time I attended it was only $95. Oh well, it should be worth it. That'll be almost $290 though with the tax, and another $70 almost with the Sweet Sunday I want to attend. There's another $400 for my trip. At least it's payday tomorrow. ;)

You almost gave me a heart attack!!:rotfl2: For a minute, I thought PFTS went up to $270 per person!!:scared1: So I am now 'relieved' to see the price increase was 'only';) to $135. pp.

DH and I are also looking at the Sweet Sunday with Will Goldfarb - if you go to the Willpowder.net site there are a few interesting articles on him - his approach sounds somewhat radical, but we'll probably give him a try. SS will be a great way to spend the early afternoon (we'll do the 12:30 if we can get it) while waiting for the rest of the family to fly in that day and join us for the week.:thumbsup2

Looks like I misread as well, and that Sweet Sunday is only one session this year, instead of the two a day they had last year, and it runs from 10:30 to 12:30, instead of having one at 9:00 and one at 12:00.

That actually works better for my park day, since I am going to be spending the whole day at Epcot, and will then be able to ride Soarin at park opening. That only gives me three and a half hours though between the end of Sweet Sunday and dinner at Le Cellier. And I don't want to book a late dinner, since I "have" to be back to my room by 9:00 PM, for the season premiere of Desperate Housewives. Plus rebooking Le Cellier would probably be next to impossible at this point.

Thanks so much for posting the info, Patricia. As far as I'm concerned, you should be put in charge of the F&W festival!! And I think we should continue to email Disney with our concerns about this late release of info--and especially question (if true) why concierge has it now but no one else? (um...have I mentioned the word "incompetence" with regard to the handling of this before?)

Thanks again for the info; very good of you to share it. Going off to pick a date/make ressies now! (and just in time--hubbie was in full revolt and right on the verge of deciding to just forget the whole thing).

It is in the dining system. So anyone who has access to that has the information. I have no idea what their managers (other departments) told them as far as giving out the info. All I know is my manager did not say we could not give it out. Strange it is in there and not released yet. You are welcome everyone! Glad to help.

Anyone know what the Discoverin Wine @ Citricos will be like? There wasn't anything called that last year. We were thinking about doing a wine school but can't see spending 6 hours of our day at the event. We need our park time too. So we thought the Discovering Wine might be a good alternative, and it looks like with the time scheduled they would have to include lunch.

Allearsnet has the info up on their website now!

Wow! And they have a lot of details for the events including wineries and chefs for each one. No longer in the dark about what to do now.

Excellent! :thumbsup2

So what is everyone looking at?

As I said before, I'm thinking about PFTS on 10/6. I also like the food and wine pairings at Le Cellier on 10/5 and tutto Italia on 10/7 as well as the Italian cheese tasting on 10/6.

I printed all 11 pages from allears. It will be fun to sit down with DH and go through it tonight over a glass of wine. :)

I'm planning on the PFTS on 10/6 :) - just waiting for IPO to book it for me:cool1:

So what is everyone looking at?

We are probably doing (hopefully we get them all):

South African Wine Experience 10.12
Rose and Crown F&W Paring 10.21
Le Cellier F&W Paring 10.26
Party For The Senses 11.3
New England Brewers Tale 11.8

I am debating on a Signature dinner or lunch. I would like to do the Seas Salon one but it is on the same day as the R&C paring. Maybe we will just do a F&W paring there too since it is cheaper and I want to see the Salon:) So probably the 17th, 18th or 19th of October for the Seas Salon F&W Paring. I may add a Sweet Sunday on 10.7 or 11.11 and I might do the Todd English/Blue Zoo Signature Dinner on 11.9 (or do that instead of the Brewers Tale.)

:yay: :woohoo:

Excellent! :thumbsup2

10/5 - MNSSHP pirate:
10/6 - Party for the Senses :thumbsup2

Scoth and Food ~ Oct 21
Sweet Sunday ~ Oct 21
Sushi and Sake ~ Oct 22

Let's hope I get them. Looks like I have to add another ticker to my siggy.

That's four of us for the PFTS on 10/6. Husband is reading the print out right now, and that's his favorite of the choices I gave him. We had Blue Zoo booked for that night, but we can just change that to Sunday night.

I have a question for the experts. Does anyone know of the food kiosks are open at lunch time? That's another thing I HAVE to work into this trip.

Allearsnet has the info up on their website now!

They've left out the wine schools.

9/29 Bistro pairing
9/30 Jiko lunch
10/1 Japan pairing
10/5 Le Cellier pairing
10/6 Burgundy wine school AND P4TS
10/7 Sweet Sunday
11/1 Kitchen Conversation (loved the one I did last year)
11/2 Le Cellier or Seas pairing
11/3 P4TS
11/4 Kitchen Conversation

that oughta do it
