Happy Thanksgiving Everyone

I am thankful for all the friendships my family has made over the last year thanks to our little home on the web.

Cindy said it,
Mary stole it,
Steve swiped it,
I'll just borrow it and never give it back like a normal neighbor... (Plus it doesn't have a turkey in it - to please my better half)

Good Tidings to ONE & ALL - Safe travels
(GO LIONS - I know they're pathetic but hey, I live in Detroit)

Safe Travels and hope everyone has a Wonderful Holiday with Friends and Family!

Excellent!! I know he also took a lot of photos.

Have a Very Happy Thanksgiving

with victories for Dallas and Detroit today

Had a great time last night. Took my youngest daughter to see Brian Wilson at the Beacon Theater in NY. She's a big Beach Boys and Brian Wilson fan and it was something I promised to do next time he went on tour. For any of you Beach Boy fans out there, they played the whole Pet Sounds album after the first intermission. With a 10 piece band backing him up, it sounded just like the studio recording. It was a great concert.

Surprisingly, the traffic was not bad at all, despite the fact that the Beacon is virtually around the corner where they were blowing up the balloons for Macys's parade today. And thanks to Icon Parking Systems, I had a spot reserved for me in an area where parking is sparse.

I am very thankful for all of the wonderful new friends I have made here - you are all considered family to me! Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

Sorry Erin - that was us. Mark has scanned it and fixed the logo. Our original plan was to print out copies and bring them to Michigan but we never got around to it. It is on the picture exchange as well as the pirate picture and the large group picture on the beach. If anyone wants them e-mailed directly just let me know.

Thanks Mary... NOT a problem. Just wanted to make sure it would make it on the CD....

Jeff - I'll let Chris know that you PM'd him. I'll make him get back to you!!! Any suggestions???

I was thinking by the McDonald's Box Office. I need to trade my seats in for new ones because there is a bar that blocks my view from one of the seats. What time is good for Chris?

Happy Black Friday!

Good morning everyone! You won't see me heading out to shop today. Not much exchanging of gifts this year and what is going to be exchanged will be bought online.

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. We had a very good day and have much to be thankful for. We had a nice quiet morning watching the parade on tv and doing some planning for both our December trip to WDW and our Februrary trip to Hawaii. We spent the afternoon with my in-laws and it was a nice calm day and not some of the tension I was expecting. Then back home for a nice quiet even topped by watching my favorite Christmas movie White Christmas which was being shown on WGN (the superstation not the regular). All in all a very good day.

Happy Black Friday!!
Well I have already been out and shopped for what I wanted, got my free Disney Snow globe from JcPenney's and will be heading out to work soon. I didn't buy alot but a few things that I knew would be gone if I waited to buy them!
This weekend the tree goes up!!!

I don't know how many of us have worked or do work in retail. My brief time in retail and seeing what it has done to Karen for the 20 some years that she was in retail management is enough for me. I'm always compelled to say something along the lines of this:

Please just remember why it's called BLACK FRIDAY (and it's NOT because of all the "black ink" that is supposed to flow this day.

There are HUMAN beings who were forced from their beds long before the 3:20am time you got into line. This is going to be a very long day for them please just remember the TRUE holiday spirit and pay them the courtesy they deserve.
Happy Holidays

Shop till you drop friends but please give the poor schmuck with the nametag 30 seconds of recognition and a smile.

No shopping for me this morning. I ordered a digital camera for Walker yesterday online at Circuit City and that's about all the shopping we're doing this weekend.

I laughed hysterically last night when Cameron asked Gary if he would take him to Dick's Sporting Goods today so Cameron could browse. Cameron has no idea what Black Friday is -- he's just looking to go window shopping. We explained to him that it was going to be crazy  especially in the area of Woodfield Mall but he still doesn't get it. I'm thinking tomorrow morning at opening will be a much better time for Cameron to browse through the stores.

We had a great time at Medieval Times yesterday. Very non-traditional for Thanksgiving, but it was a sold out show none the less. Walker wore his Disney Store Narnia costume and then we sat in the red & orange knights section so Walker fit right in with the coloring. I was surprised to see how many little kids dressed up as knights or princesses. I wasn't so sure Walker idea of dressing up was a good one but as I said on our way out, I was glad he did. Besides, I doubt next year the costume will fit him so it's good to get more than 1 use out of it.

Stacy, I can't believe you've shopped and are back already. :thumbsup2

Happy Shopping & be safe everyone else out grabbing the bargains. :cheer2:

Wow Stacy! That's crazy but glad you got your snow globe and you were home to post at 7:11AM!

Ii hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving. We had a very quiet day yesterday and won't be shopping today. They just showed the King of Prussia Mall in PA on the Today show and it was packed!

Any way, off to the doctors with Shawn. Have a good day!

I went and did something I have never done in my 52 years and that was to go out shooping on Black Friday. Circuit City had phenominal in-store only DVD sales and I figured if I woke up early enough, I'd give it a shot. I wasn't going to wake up for a 5:00am opening, but as long as I didn't overslepp, I figured, what the heck. Traffic was okay and I got lucky and found a parking spot right away. The TV DVDs were all thrown in a bin in the front and the movies were on a abtle next to it. I found everything I wanted except for the first seasons of House and Entourage. The line to check out was the only bad part (where is fastpass when you really need it? :), but I was home by 9:30. I'm not sure I would do that again. I don't have the patience to search through unordered piles of things.

Well said, Curt. I did my part and wished the cashier a happy holiday. (The fact that she was cute didn't hurt :lmao:

We had a busy day yesterday - we didn't get home until about 1:45 AM this morning. We were going to get up for the 5 AM sales but decided sleeping was a better choice. We did go to the Scrapbook store. They were having 30% off everything from 10 AM to noon. I got my book for the CJ :woohoo:

Hi Everyone, I still need to read back and see if i missed anything.
hope everyone had a happy thanksgiving and a successful black friday

btw one comment i wanted to make was I can't believe how many people signed up for the lottery and are not going to do it due to price/cost. I'm hoping DVC might call a few of us repeaters.
