2006 DVC Member Cruise - SSMC06 - October 22, 2006 Part 4

Good morning everyone! Can't stay and chat today. Lots of work to do. Should be on at lunch and then tonight.

I sent Roxann a PM, but just wanted to let everyone else here know that we have decided to drive and NOT take the bus. One of the benefits of having your own vehicle is that there will not be the worries of where to put all the "loot" that we will pick up courtesy of DVC and CC. So, if anyone riding the bus has something that they can't fit in their suitcase and don't want to hold on their laps, we can help in transporting things back to BWV. And no, this offer does not apply to children!!

I just need to store it under to take with me.the scooter does come apart for storage. Thanks for the help!

I don't know. I will call Mears tomorrow. Do you need a lift? Or just enough space to store a scooter (ECV)? Do the scooters colapse or fold at all? Have you taken Disney transfers before with the scooter?

I am so jeoleous!! :upsidedow

Not only did you go to WDW Saturday and Sunday, but you popped over there last night too. I count that to be three times in a week!!

I'm having WDW withdrawal -- we all know that reality feeling when we just get back. Mine is at a big time high this morning. :sad1:

But.....it won't be long before we're there again. :cool1:

It was all in the search for information on this parking situation ;) . Now to think of a good excuse to go tonight :scratchin . BTW, Millionaire was completely full for the last show :crowded: , the only one I made. It's rumored that past winners are coming in for the final days. The top 10 at the end had people with 225,000 scores seperated only by how fast they punched their answers so it will be a feat just to get into the hotseat today, tomorrow and Saturday.

Hi Cindy:wave:
I'm not that bad yet.I have good days and bad days.I know last Febuary I had a good 2-3 days at WDW but it got really bad before comming home.I ended up staying another week because of my MS.We had driven down and I couldn't walk, let alone drive home!Oh well a week longer at WDW wasn't bad! I just hated renting disney scooters for 8 days!Ouch! They make big money on those!Sorry so long but I'm fine. Thanks!Chris

Hi Chris

I hadn't realized that your MS progressed to the point where it's difficult for you to get around. I'm so sorry to hear that. pixiedust:

I remember when you were having a tough time in February. Your right, to be stuck at WDW isn't all that bad. It would have been worse to not feel up to taking the trip to get there to begin with. Glad to know things haven't gotten you down.

Guess we'd better get there early on Sat.

That would be the one since I work on the State Office Campus next to SUNY Albany. I love the Soup & Salad lunch. The Zoupa Toscana is my fave!!

Absolutely. I consulted for NYISO last spring, before taking the job I'm at now, and I stayed at the Cresthill Suites across from the campus on Washington.

I'm so glad you mentioned ECV. Before that I was picturing a motor scooter and could not imagine what a person would be doing with one on vacation :rotfl:

Chris - sorry to hear you were not feeling well earlier this year. Here's hoping it's a good trip in October! We have looked into scooters for family members, and it's often cheaper to rent them from an offsite location and have them delivered on property. I know you didn't anticipate needing one as long as your stay, but wanted to let you know just in case you are going to get one while we are down this year.

:)

I called Mears and the ECV is no problem to store under the bus.

I just received a quote from another company and finally someone came in under Mears. The company is Orlando Buses and Tours. So, far their quote with gratuity added is $682.50. I will contact them to find out more (like additional pick-up locations and ECV storage). That is a couple hundred dollars less than Mears. I'm all for saving money as long as they are a reputable company.

Thank You! :thumbsup2 Please add Mike and I to the Party bus. Thanks again!Chris:wave:

How are you feeling? What a scare the spider bite gave you!Hope it's feeling better!:wizard:

Do we need to request a certain family to be linked with? I haven't done that. But we would like to sit with a group. Thanks, Connie

p.S. Just got backfrom 4 day Wonder. It was great! Patrick didn't want to get off the boat! We celebrated our 33rd anniversary last night at Triton's with champaigne! Everyone's talking about how beautiful it will be after the dry dock! Can't wait!

I was just trying to figure out how to move that to here. You beat me to the punch

Hi Connie - yes, Cindy's not matching up the groups, so if you want to be paired with someone please let her know as she's handling the pass off to DCL, we're all personally handling our table groups.

Sounds like the cruise was grand!

Yup, the crise was super! But guess what! We forgot to buy our photos at the photo shop! Now we'll have to have them taken all over again in October!

Anyway, fellow EARLY DINERS, who is not linked with another family? There's 4 of us, DH,myself, DS 27 yrs old and Patrick, 29yrs old. Let me know and we'll link our families
