120_2016.jpg

Each entree will be served with the following sides:
Yukon Gold Mashed Potatoes
Haricot Vert
Assorted Oven Fresh Rolls and Pretzel Bread

Wedding Cake
We're serving the round cake with 3 tiers (currently, however I think once we hit - or if we hit- over 75 it heads to 4 tiers) with the Mickey Gazebo top (eg the Mickey ears on top of a short 4 inch column).
  • Tier 1 Top = Red Cake based on bride's family receipe
    120_2025.jpg
  • Tier 2 middle = Yellow cake with Raspberry Mouse (hmm I think there are to be raspberries in there as well)
  • Tier 3 bottom = chocolate cake with amaretto mousse

What a WONDERFUL menu! Thanks for sharing. A family recipe for the wedding cake. Another nice touch. Maybe Disney Weddings will begin offering it as a selection for others after your wedding. You must be soooo excited :Pinkbounc :yay: :Pinkbounc

Sorry to interrupt the flow...but more questions for you.....

I managed to book my shore excursions this morning (but no Palo ressies available :furious:)

Anyhow, when do you go about paying for these? Do you pay on the ship? Do they automatically charge it to the cc# you booked the cruise on?

Also, we are boarding the DCL bus at SSR at 12:45 p.m. on the day of the cruise. In your expert opinion, any hope of getting Palo ressies for 2 when we are arriving at the terminal so late?

Any help would be appreciated!!! :wave2:

The charges for the excursions will be on your stateroom charge bill at the end of the cruise.

We took DCL transfers last year and will be taking them again this year but I didn't make any ressies once onboard so I can't help you there. I can tell you that our bus left about 15 minutes before we were supposed to because we were all there waiting, willing and anxious to get on with it.....so get there early! Our bus was supposed to pick us up at 11:45, we left at 11:30 headed to OKW to pick up more folks (we were at POR) and we were on the ship at exactly 1pm.

As Diana said your excursions will be billed to your cabin once on board. You can then pay them off with cash or leave them on the card you left on file.

As for Palo, honestly getting there that late no I don't think you will be able to get Palo reservations. A couple of things to keep in mind. 1) you can check and if they are booked asked to be put on a waiting list and 2) I know you read where everyone says Palo is a must do well IMHO it isn't. Don't get me wrong it is wonderful good and great service. However we didn't go to Palo until our 3rd or 4th cruise and I don't regret that at all.

Good luck!

In all the cruises I've taken, they've always held back some Palo reservations for booking while on board. Since many have already booked, I would think your changes would be good. I would still get to Guest Services as soon as you board to see about Palo availability. Also, keep checking back on line. People have been known to cancel. You may have to take a time which isn't convenient, but at least you'll be able to dine at Palos. :yay:

One more thing... You can request to be picked up earlier, BUT you must get yourself and your luggage to that new pick up location. It never hurts to ask.

Q - Does anyone know if there will be a brunch during this "special" cruise?

Georgie - yes Brunch will be during our sea day which is Tuesday. A number of us have it reserved.

Are you going to be sailing with us again?

Hi Mary... and All!

We are crossing our fingers :goodvibes

We're continuing to call about our waitlist. I know several who have cancelled, but they aren't down to our name yet! We are still hoping.

Thanks for asking! :yay:

Good luck on your waitlist, Georgie!!! Fingers crossed that you'll be able to come.

You don't happen to know who cancelled, do you?? The reason that I ask is that I'm trying to keep an accurate kids list and someone else mentioned that they thought some had cancelled, but I don't know who.

Thanks tons!!!

Thank you to everyone who respnded so quickly...you guys are the best!!

In response to the op's response, how do we go about getting picked up earlier by DCL and what locations are there to get picked up at?

If I can go earlier, I will.

Sorry I didn't explain myself better. We didn't request to leave any earlier, it just so happened that everyone was there and ready and the bus was there, so we just left.

I know DCL buses pick up at all DVC resorts, the Deluxes and I believe all the Mods too. The only ones they don't pick up at is the Values. Last year we had the option of spending the morning at AK and DCL would pick us up at the park--I'm not sure if they are still doing that though. And I'm not sure what the earliest pick up time is for the resorts. You can try to call and see which resort is earliest, just keep in mind that sometimes there is more than one resort on a bus, so there can be multiple stops.

On last year's Member Cruise, we checked with the DCL CM at our resort. They gave us the pick up number to call. We got the pick up times at other resorts from them. I no longer have that number.

On another note... I don't know who cancelled, I just know from DVC that cancellations have come in. That's why I'm hoping we will be able to go!
