Okay, this is crazy.

It's a beautiful day here in Chicagoland. :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: The sun is shining and it's very mild outside. We spent the morning playing in the yard as if it's a spring day. And, that's where we're going when the kids wake up.

But......I just got a email from one of the local TV stations......a winter storm watch is in effect for tomorrow night. Rain, turning into snow, accumulating 4-8".

No wonder people get sick.

We sure have enough of that in our household. Cameron's been home all week. After we went to the zoo on Sunday, he started running a fever and complaining of a sore throat. I thought he had strep so I took him in for the throat culture Monday, negative. Tuesday, Gary took him back at lunchtime for another one, negative again. Tuesday night I took him to the treatment center, they diagnosed swimmers ear (from Saturday night, I guess) and gave us drops. Cameron still didn't feel good so today he's still home and Gary took him back to the pediatrician at lunchtime. Now they say he has fluid in his ears and a sinus thing going on. I'm sure by tomorrow the antibiotics will have kicked in and he'll be back in school.

As if that's not enough, Walker is still having problems with his ears. Gary took him into the Ear, Nose, Throat doctor Monday evening. The doctor suctioned all the gunk out of his ears and he'll go back in two weeks. They are going to look at taking his adnoids out in the hopes of preventing these ear problems from continuing. Cameron had his out when he was 3, no big deal, but Walker is a couple of years older and I wonder if the recovery will also be a breeze?

I know with the storm coming in our weather is changing drastically. I'm sure we're all going to be sick again. :(

:flower3: to you guys. (That's as close as I get to hugging!) Julia and I both have had the fluid in ears/sinus/throat thing going on for like 2 weeks now. Of course, she went to the dr. day one and got the antibiotics, and I'm just suffering along through it. I can't hear very good out of my left ear still. :listen: (Who would have thought there was a smilie for that!) I feel so bad for the kids who get this though, because it's terrible.

The weather has been insane here too. Saturday it was 60s, I went to Joann's and saw people in shorts and t-shirts. We got up on Sunday morning and it was about 10. Now it's been 40s and nice out. I think mother nature is smoking crack or something. :confused3

I'd really like to fly down and have dinner with you guys at WCC! If only I was independently wealthy and had a private jet. :scratchin What night was this for again? :rotfl:

Let us know what they say the second time. PM me if you need any helpful hints on how to get the 0% interest.

I will. Thank you. I chickened out and didn't call back today. I haven't decided if I should call again or wait for the letter and then go from there.

Any tips you have would be great.

It's okay. I was actually thinking about March 1st, but I'm willing to go with the group.

Another person in this group that watches Lost! I have to admit that I fell asleep watching it last night though. That what happens when you get up for work at 5:00 in the morning. Thank goodness for Tivo! It was recording as I was watching, so I was able to see what I missed. Anyone else in this group that is hooked on Lost?

Any CSI watchers?

This may have been covered before and if so I apologize
BUT
Is the new lab guy the same guy who plays the lab worker in Dinosaur in the AK. He sure reminds me of him. Has anyone else noticed this or am I just REAL late in the game?

I watch CSI too (only the Las Vegas version.) I haven't really paid attention to the new lab guy, but I'll take a look when I watch next time.

Good morning eveyrone!

Steve can't help with CSI. I used to be a regular watcher but haven't this season.

Cindy - hope Walker and Cameron are feeling better. Are you ready for the snow?

I love CSI!  I find it fascinating how they figure out the case and the clues they find. It will make me think twice before committing a crime. :earseek:

I can't help you with the lab guy though. I'm sure someone else will.

Ugh! If it's going to come, I hope there is at least enough for the kids to play in and go sledding. I guess that's looking at the glass as half full instead of half empty. But, personally, I'd prefer days like yesterday. :sunny:

You and me both! I just worry when we have nice days like we've had and all the talk I remember about 1967 and how nice it was before that hit. :rotfl2:

I don't remember the snowstorm of '67. I only remember that my oldest brother was shoveling the roof. :confused3 At least that's what I think I remember. Was it that bad that people actually had to shovel their roofs?

I do know that the grocery stores around here will most likely be empty of milk & break this AM. Not that I'm taking my daycare into the grocery store ( :scared: ) but I could bet money on it. It's that panic feature in a lot of people.

Sorry to say, not going to last whatever does come down, well above freezing after. They're still saying kinda maybe sorta, and seem to be focusing on south side of Chicago and sw suburbs as being who has a possibility of really getting snow. Being I have responsibility to plow, I'll get up at 4 and if I've got snow, off to work I go.

Just a reminder that tonight is cruise chat! Stop on by if you get a chance. We usually start out in the main room and if enough Member Cruisers show up go to one of the other rooms to finish the night.

I don't recall exactly who (maybe chipscinderelly - Julie????) went through this also and was able to change the finance charge. I would say maybe you should call back and ask them to revisit the issue rather than waiting the 7-10 days. I know others on this thread have posted differently.

Good luck. I wouldn't be happy either.

Actually we had no luck with this - tried and failed and technically from the standpoint of how it's booked it really doesn't qualify, so kudos to those who received it.

Hey everyone! We returned late Wed pm from a week long trip to Jamaica with my family to celebrate my sister's 30th birthday. We had a blast, are buried at work and school and laundry and hope to catch up again soon.

Happy Belated to all who had birthdays!

Chris - so sorry to hear about everything in your neck of the woods!

Spirit airlines - we had a horrid experience with them down and back from Jamaica and will NEVER be flying them again. Summary is 4 flights and 100% were late by more than 30 minutes on arrival, lost bag for 3 1/2 days, rude employees. It is sad as we hoped to have a new cheaper carrier - but nope.

Would love to do the circle journal but just cannot commit right now with the wedding.

Looking forward to getting back into the swing here!
