Not sure how busy everyone is tonight, but just a reminder if you are free that cruise chat is tonight at 9 pm Eastern/8 pm Central.
We're on the same wavelength, Mary! I was just coming here to remind everyone!!!

With tomorrow being New Years Eve I though it would be nice to have a 2005 only edition of GTKYKFC (getting to know your krazy fellow cruisers).

All answers should be about 2005. They can be Disney related or not.

Where did you vacation in 2005?

What was your happiest surprise in 2005?

What was your saddest surprise in 2005?

What did you plan to do that you didn't?

What did you do that you never planned on?

Last, but not least, if you could relive one day from last year which day would it be and why?

I would love to go one year, but the whole bathroom issue, what do you do? can you get back to your area? :confused3

Bathroom? This is New York. Find a quiet corner and go :rotfl:

I've never been tempted to go to Times Square. I hate crowds. I still remember EPCOT on NYE Y2K. While I'm glad I can say I was there for the experience, I hated the crowds. You couldn't move.

Where did you vacation in 2005?Nashville in March for scrapbooking event, Chicago for 4th of July Weekend & Member Cruise 2005

What was your happiest surprise in 2005?Getting my first nephew, Caleb

What was your saddest surprise in 2005?The reality of losing my job

What did you plan to do that you didn't?Lose weight

What did you do that you never planned on?Remodeling my bath & kitchen at the same time

Last, but not least, if you could relive one day from last year which day would it be and why? That's a tough one, no one day sticks out, but I would say that the first day on the member cruise was pretty awesome, meeting all my online friends and knowing that we were going to enjoy an awesome vacation together

We went to MGM on NYE Y2K and we decided not to leave until at least after 1am. It took us over 2 hours to get from the parking lot to I-4 to drive home to St. Pete. What a nightmare!?!?!? Lucky for us, it was a mild night, and we had a convertible, so we put the top down and talked to all the other bozos that were stuck on the road with us.

Thank goodness we only had to go as far as the Boardwalk. The ironic thing is my folks were with us and had left early. They got a better fireworks display than we did, because there was one over the lagoon and they could still see the fireworks from EPCOT.

Where did you vacation in 2005? The Sagamore Hotel, Lake George

What was your happiest surprise in 2005? Getting my current job

What was your saddest surprise in 2005? My FIL passed away (sad to say, not as much a surprise)

What did you plan to do that you didn't? Go to Lake George (it's all tied together)

What did you do that you never planned on? Booked the DVC member cruise

Last, but not least, if you could relive one day from last year which day would it be and why? The day before my FIL died, so my kids could see their grandfather again.

Where did you vacation in 2005? Franklin TN, in June for a wedding; WDW in June for a week at Boardwalk; long weekend In Milwaukee, WI for Irish Fest in August; road trip to DVC Member Cruise and time at WDW in September; Disneyland in early December.

What was your happiest surprise in 2005? Being invited to dinner at Palo on the Member Cruise.

What was your saddest surprise in 2005? Finding out I'm type II diabetic in June. Also finding out David was leaving DVC and Disney.

What did you plan to do that you didn't? Lose weight

What did you do that you never planned on? Became a moderator here on the DIS.

Last, but not least, if you could relive one day from last year which day would it be and why? Cousin Scott's wedding day. If we could do it over there are a few things we'd do differently. Things that would have made it easier on a number of other family members.

Here are my answers to the questions... Wish I could join the chat tonight, but I have to be in to work at 2 am. Ick!!!

Where did you vacation in 2005? In 2005 I took 2 trips to WDW. We went in April to stay at our home resort SS and then we went on a 3 day DCL cruise. In Sept. I took My Fiancee' to WDW over Labor Day for his Birthday....

What was your happiest surprise in 2005? My Happiest Surprise happened during the trip in Sept. when my fiancee' proposed to me during the Wishes fireworks. It was a wish come true for me that night.

What was your saddest surprise in 2005? Actually it happened two nights ago when there was a robbery attempt and shooting right out in front on my apartment building. It was sad because I always felt so safe here. I also found out that my grandmother who has congestive Heart Failure is getting worse and she is very important to me.

What did you plan to do that you didn't? I planned to spend more time at home, but my job just wan't have that... Than again what job will

What did you do that you never planned on? I got to ride 2 times this year with an Olympic Event Rider by the name of Kim Severson. That was an oppurtunity that I thought me and my horse would never have.

Last, but not least, if you could relive one day from last year which day would it be and why? I would like to relive the day that Chris and I got engaged because that was one of the happiest days of my life. I have not felt that great in a long time and who wouldn't want to feel that way again.

Hopeully, I'll make to it chat tonight! :cool1: I have some serious organizing to do in my scrapbook room, so it's procrastination time! :rotfl2:

Where did you vacation in 2005? January trip to Disney with my girlfriends WITHOUT kids!, June women's retreat camping weekend in Lake George and Sept Disney trip, POR, SSMC05, VWL
What was your happiest surprise in 2005? DH volunteering to watch the girls for the weekend so I can go to WDW with my friends.
What was your saddest surprise in 2005? Lots of health issues.

What did you plan to do that you didn't? Lose weight/Exercise more :rotfl2:

What did you do that you never planned on? Went camping. I'm so not a nature girl.
Last, but not least, if you could relive one day from last year which day would it be and why? The first day of SSMC05, seeing Emma's face when we walked on Mickey's boat and how excited her and Julia were to see all the characters.

I'm with you on needed to clean my scrapbook room. It is a disaster! I always say that I'm going to do it, but I always find something on the computer or TV that I would rather do. :rotfl2:

Stacy stopped by to pick up Nick and told me that you guys were talking about me ....LOL

I understand that there will be several folks from the 05 cruise at WDW the weekend of Jan. 27

I'll play.......

Where did you vacation in 2005?
Gettysburg, PA, March, 2005
Hilton Head Island, SC, July 2005
Disney Cruise, Sept. 2005
WDW, Sept. 2005
WDW, Oct. 2005

What was your happiest surprise in 2005? Hmmm, tough one. I could never pick just one. I know the best ones have to do with my kids. Sometimes I have so much pride for them it's amazing. The one that comes to my mind right now is the day Cameron was in the Geography Bee at school. He looked so grown up and smart that afternoon.

What was your saddest surprise in 2005? Being hit in the face by the reality of a situation which has changed the course of my life.

What did you plan to do that you didn't? Get organized. It's my new goal for 2006.

What did you do that you never planned on? Begin selling on ebay. Never thought I could, never thought I would, surprised by how addicted I've become.

Last, but not least, if you could relive one day from last year which day would it be and why? Another tough one. There were so many good days which left me with great memories. But, if I could go back and change one day, it would probably be the day my aunt passed away this month. I wish I had a chance to see her before she did.

We are all great here. Mary Ann and I will be going to WDW on Jan 26th with our other daughter Ginnie. For all of those who have met Stacy , and who will be in WDW at that time, you should try to look us up. You won't believe the difference in the 2 sisters
