Hi everybody!

So, this Alaska would be in 2010? We're there!!! if they go in May, the weather could be really good, as we went May 21st last year. We had no rain, no snow, daytime highs were in the 50's, nightime lows were in the 30's, and the most beautiful scenery I've ever seen!!!! We did need hats and gloves to go out at night, but those midnight sunsets that lasted forever were SO worth it!!! We were told that nobody gets that weather, and that we were very lucky, but we knew is was just the 'lanyard people' luck we had with us from the repo! So..... if we end up not having grandbabies born right about then, we are SO there!!! One thing I promised myself, if I go to Alaska again, I really don't want to fly 10 hours to Anchorage ever again, so I"d 'have to' catch the ship here, go all the way to Alaska, and then do the first Alaska cruise.... Flying home isn't so bad 'cause I can stop to see my parents and sisters, but that long flight up there was hard! For all you photo junkies like me, there's an excursion in Juneau where you go out with a published photographer in a small boat to see whales etc. and then walk through the rainforest to see smaller game (bear prints, but no bears) and the Mendenhall glacier! I highly recommend it. Our guide has been published in National Geographic, and he helped us all get good shots on our own cameras... group was only 6 people too!

Did anyone use DVC points for the 2005 repo cruise? We're trying to decide what we might want to do in 2008, and knowing what the point amounts were would help us decide. I've been able to find our '04-'05 planner and the '06-'07 planner, but the one in between has the point charts we need. Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Hi Jen

I was wondering if you ever made the DVD of the pictures from our cruise??? I never received any additional information after I sent my CD's of pictures and I wondered if maybe I had been missed.

Thanks

It's partially done and still on my to-do list. I haven't given up yet.

New goal - have DVD finished before NEXT repo :rolleyes2

They told us the same thing when we did Alaska in May, 1998 (I think), we got to 70 during the day when we were in Sitka. It was pretty funny drinking hot chocolate, and everyone being wrapped in warm blankets out on the decks though!

Count us in.

But, I was thinking it would be summer 2009?

Hi Randall :wave2: (and Kevin, too!!!!)

Mom and I will not be booking the repeat cruise....I have a feeling that I would be contstantly comparing the cruise to our 2005 cruise and I don't think that anything could top our cruise....especially all the great friendships we have made....our cruise literally changed our lives.

We're thinking about it. May also bring family along this time. If we do, it'll be the westbound again.

Wow Repeat PC Cruisers! :yay: Go for it! You'll have a great time. They'll probably do something special for the Magic's 10th anniversary.:cake:

Joe + I are talking about Alaska, and have sent in a request to be waitlisted. I know the rumored ship hasn't even been announced, and 2-3 years is a long time off... :hourglass but we're looking to the future and hoping!

:sail: :sail: :sail: :sail: :sail:

We've even been reconsidering the transatlantic, now that prices have dropped, but I have a feeling we'll be staying put and saving our pennies!:goodvibes
