Am I the only one who found this comment to be hilariously ironic?

Well, I guess, what would you expect from a place called Jeckyll and Hyde?

I have no personal knowledge of the place (in fact, I hadn't even heard of it until this thread), I just found it hilarious that a place called Jeckyll & Hyde would be described as, essentially, part good and part bad. :)

We've had Capt. Tom too. He signed a glass ornament of the ship for us in April. Can't read his last name! Sorry!

THERE WE ARE..... No screen name....no hometown...

Leander, TX
Late seating (just got my info today....must be real....)
Cash prefers Service dog....rather than DOG.....
Would be better not to give the impression that the cruise was going to the canines.....

Wow! I haven't had a chance to get over here much the last couple of weeks. You all have been busy!

I too have children that love dogs. One in particular, Peter, will just go ga-ga if he see's Cash. He'll want to know all about him, and want to walk him, and give him treats, and...you get the picture. He'll wonder if we'll be able to bring our dog on the ship. She's small. 15 lb Jack Russell Terrier. All muscle and sweetness. :bounce: Oh man, would she love running up and down those halls!

For PETER: I might be too late - I think you're gone already, but one restaurant I really enjoyed while in New York was called "Playwright Bar & Restaurant". At least I think that's the the place. It's in the theater district there (off of 49th - does that sound right?). The food/atmosphere was awesome. We sat by the window on the 2nd floor where we could watch theater goers spilling out of the play houses after the shows.

ROBIN and the others who live so close to NY are lucky!!! I haven't been there since just before 9/11. My best friends live in Williamsburg and Brooklyn. I have been wanting to take another trip out there, but just haven't been able to manage it. I want to take DD - she'll love NY!!! (She's obsessed with skyscrapers, mainly the Chrysler Building.)Looks like it's gonna have to be in 2006, because I have this cruise booked for May 2005 - don't know if you guys have heard about it... ;)

Cirque is the best! I have seen Allegria, Varekai and am dying to check out O in Vegas.

Well, I hope everyone is enjoying their Memorial Day Weekend. We drove down to Monterey yesterday to eat at Bubba Gump's and walk around Cannery Row. The rest of the weekend will be spent at home catching up on that whole "Spring cleaning" thing I missed earlier this year....

Jeff is woking this weekend up at Disney World, odd ball shifts, he works 6am to 3 pm. Normally he hates day shifts, but it hasn't been bad.
Which of course leaves me at home to clean. We're having the carpet pulled up this week and laminate flooring put down. With two dogs and all the adventures we hav, the carpet looks very old, and we've only been here 2 1/2 years.
So the living room and bedroom have to be packed up and cleaned up. We have an 1800 sq foot house and we're trying to pick up 900 sq feet of it and put it somewhere

Anyways, back to the grind

Well, I have NO idea where to begin....

First, hello again to LYNDA and Cash....see I know your name now!! My niece, Nicole and I met you outside the internet cafe on our last cruise! You said, "Everyone knows Cash's name, nobody remembers mine!" I'll never forget, PROMISE!!! Glad to see you're doing another cruise. When we spoke, you had some issues. Have they been resolved? And where can I read about your exploits? Looks like you'll be dining late on the PC cruise, we'd love to join you, and we'd make sure Cash is on the correct side!!

Next, as I said, we've been cruising and not on this boards...Keith and I took my niece to WDW and did the 4 day cruise for her high school graduation present. The only week we were all available was the week between the seniors last day of school and the actual grad ceremony, so we were rushed to fit everything in. Got back to Denver on Sat evening, drove 2 1/2 hours to Nicole's house, crashed on the pullout sofa, had her graduation and after-party on Sunday, the 23rd. Keith and I left earlier than the rest of the family to drive 3 hours back home, and I had to work early the next morning. On top of that, I came home with a sinus problem, and work has been a zoo...I'm really looking forward to resting this weekend.

Soooo, I guess the bottom line is I'm REALLY glad you all were quiet, coz I STILL had 20+ pages to read to get caught up!! ;-)

As to where we stand on this cruise, most of our group has backed out or plan to, but Keith and I and his Mom (84yo on the cruise) are still planning to be there. We are tentatively in 6152 and 6154. If just the 3 of us go, we'll probably move all 3 into 6154, as Keith's Mom will definitely have a wheelchair and needs the help in the bathroom. When I took her in Sept '03, we would have been in the room 24/7 if not for the wheelchair she didn't want to take. She just couldn't grasp the concept of the distance you walk! Let alone the motion of the ship! She did get her exercise by pushing the wheelchair from the elevator to the room once a day! It was nice that she could use it as a walker, but could ride, too.

So, I'm guessing that was WAY more info than any of you wanted, but I did want you all to know that some of us ARE still going, there's just a lot of things left undecided. Thanks, and I'll be chatting more now that we don't have anything trips planned until August!! Thanks, everyone, Kelli

Jen, We did that same thing a few years ago. (MUCH smaller house, and we just did the living room and the stairs) My allergies are SO much better now, and its SO much easier to clean. I will say, though, that the laminate floor does streak til you get your cleaning plan down. Keith does it, so I can't tell you how he does it, but it did take him a spell. He really likes his Swiffer Wet Jet. Good luck, and enjoy the new floor, Kelli

I've had hardwood floors before so I've alreayd got the regular swiffer, but I'll be getting the wet jet I'm sure...

thanks for the info tho:sunny:

Jen, I'm glad I'm not the only one cleaning today!!!

So here I am going through boxes and boxes of junk (mostly paper) that needs to be trashed and I came across the business card of the restaurant I went to in New York way back in August of 2001. It turns out I was wrong in my previous post. The actual place is:

Playwright Tavern & Restaurant (Act II)
732 8th Ave. (Between 45th and 46th Streets)
NY, NY

There is another on: 202 W 49th Street (between Broadway & 7th)

So although it's probably too late for Peter; there it is for anyone else going into "the city".

Hi Kelli!!! Gald you'll be on board with us!!

So does anyone have any other trips planned for this year? I'll be going down to Disneyland on the 4th of July for about 4 or 5 days for my DD's 7th birthday. I'm debating whether or not to do Sea World while we're down there.

My friends are trying to convince me to go to Vegas in September for my 30th. And I have another friend (from Ft. Lauderdale) who is flying to Chicago in October for the marathon. She wants me to go see her - so that might be a little weekend escape for me as well. But I also want to go back down to Disneyland for Halloween & Xmas - so I don't know. Plus there's all this money I have to save fo the cruise next year!!:earseek: So I'm thinking we'll probably only be taking trips to Disneyland this year as "mini vacations" (we have an AP - so it's no extra money outside of hotel) - as we gear up for the cruise next year.

Anyway - don't work too hard this weekend, Jen!!

Talk to you all soon!

Hi Kelli

Good to hear from another crusin' buddy....I finally wrote down a few tales of the Bahamas in the Cruise meets thread called 1st ever 10-day cruise...I don't remember the page numbers...If you do a search on my screen name under cruise meets, you'll find them. They're not too far from the top...I signed up for that cruise not too long after signing up for the 4-day and the time is really passing fast! It's a pretty close-knit group by now and my how we chatter! Let's link dining times...I don't remember how to do it exactly but will ask my TA if you think it would be something fun...We could start up a dog-lovers table....
Hmmm...Issues, issues..Don't remember specifically but I had an awsome amount of pixie dust on that cruise so it all balances out...I'll have to remember to write about mysteriously getting all those presents from the concierge staff and sharing them with the "laundry ladies and gentlemen" one afternoon...

We actually have another cruise planned for this year, a birthday cruise for my Mom in a cat 3. Our great frineds from Germany are joining us.
SO on top of cleaning we starting staining the new furniture last night... I think I'm still high off some of the fumes...

We'll get you on the list. Just trying to get caught up with all the chaos in the house lately. (As jen said above)

Don't worry. We've got a whole year to get everything figured out. :) :Pinkbounc

Hi all! I have a ton of catching up to do! We moved into our "new" house 2 weeks ago and things are FINALLY starting to settle down enough that I can go back to thinking about this cruise a little bit (though I am still mainly focused on home improvement type projects). How cool that so many people have joined since I last had time to check in! I guess I should change my countdown, too!

Sounds like an interesting story....and reminds me of a grin I got! I had to iron an outfit, just get the big wrinkles out.....and as I got to the laundry room, 2 guys were already using both irons, so I sat down on the bench. After a minute, one of them turned to me,looked me up and down, and asked, "And just where is your husband?!?" They were both pressing feminine garments, and I got the best laugh out of it!!

Talk to you soon! Kelli
