Hi all.
Just back from exciting kid baseball game. They lost, but it was a good game.
And the kids got their postcards today. We heard "When do we get to go on the cruise?"

Story about the lanyards. We were on the elevator on the first sunday night. Someone commented to us "Oh, you've got those lanyards. You're part of that Rowdy Bunch". I hadn't even done anything yet. Must have somebody else from the board. :)

But, yes....We are proud to be some of those Lanyard People

:rotfl2: Guess we should have hung your pics from the giggling marlin in the elevators, huh Bob.... :rotfl2:

We need to rename this thread. I asked before, but that was before most of you were back. I got one response (thank you!) but I'd like more and for there to be some sort of consensus.

Let me know what you'd like it to be. :flower:

And what exactly were you all doing with those lanyards??? Shame, shame, shame....

Good morning! PRLP here (that's "proud rowdy lanyard person")!! :cool1:

We also got our Panama Canal postcard last night. I was bummed because the post mark was totally unreadable. Oh well, an excuse to go back some day, eh? (A little Canadian nod to our friends up north :teeth: )

Scott, congrats on the Tag Fairy visit!!! I was beginning to think they were just a myth.

Gee Celeste, now that you have two weeks off from school, you should have time to write up a summary of the trip for us!! KIDDING!

Thanks for the suggestion Jen, I'll check out the Kodak Gallery too. We definitely will want to order some prints from whichever site we choose.

Okay, need to work for a bit...

Ah...but ma lady! I seem to recall a rather rowdy performance in pub night... :rolleyes1

So what was the one suggestion you received? I was thinking of something like "PC Westies Ride Again", or "First Freshwater Alumni," but those are just off the top of my head, and it is still pretty early here (read- not done with first cup of coffee).

Oh, and Scott, thanks for the fish reference. Mom and Dad were excited to jump on the internet last night and research bat fish.

On the pond:
While I work in Wi, I do live in Il.

But I DO know who Bucky the Badger is :earboy2:
Hi Joe and Leslie!

It is not a badger- I keep on looking up animals on the internet to make sure.

When Robb first told me about this,I thought it was a musk rate- but after seeing it I am not so sure. I have yet to see it out of water and when it "dives under" it does look like an otter. I haven't seen its tail. I will have to keep looking.

I'll have to go with my 35mm- with the big lense and get a shot. I mainly see ears and a face.

I get to unpack today :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Who has officially signed up for the race?

Is the a thread on the disboards yet?

Wow, Sounds like I missed some lanyard partying!

Regina, when the thread is renamed, will we still have all of the posts for a while at least? I need to go back and copy some... thanks!

As to a name... That's tough! 20050514 First Panama Canal Crossing Comes Home?

Everything remains intact if we rename the thread. There's no need to go into a copy and pasting frenzy.

Kara, do not remind of that Pub night. There I was, relaxed and very happy after celebrating my 26th anniversary in Palo when my "friend" starts yelling "PICK THEM, ITS THEIR ANNIVERSARY!!!" :earseek:

I'm trying to block out what followed. Can't afford the therapy I'd need with the cruise bill that's coming in. ;)

Yesterday was our DD Staci's graduation from 8th grade. She was unable to cruise in May due to school but being the proud mom, I wanted to share pictures.

I do have a copy of the whole report in Microsoft Word here at my office. If anyone is interested, PM me with your email address and I will send it off to you.

Fair warning-of course, it is my version of everything that happened, but it should be able to help you figure out what we did each day!

Okay.....I vote for:

20070514 FIRST PANAMA CANAL REUNION CRUISE!!!

I figure we will have to wait til 2007, since 2006 dates are out and we probably all need to recover from our incoming charge card statements!

Linda :rotfl2:

As far as charge card statement catching up... I already told our families to expect Mc Donnald's gift certificates for Christmas! :rotfl2:

You know... I just realized...
I HAVEN'T BEEN TO WALMART SINCE 05/13/05!!!
Hey Scott... has the stock started to drop? :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I just got my credit card bill yesterday - OUCH!!!!

If I haven't already said it, I just want to add that all of you made this the most wonderful vacation ever. I really miss running into everyone, and coming back to our "fish" and finding new goodies. We are definitely in for a reunion whether it be a cruise or at WDW!

Miss you all!!

Saucy Jenny Thunder

Great pictures Ken and Shari
Congrats to Staci!

The May dates were tough for school.
Our 8th grader ended up with one surprise grade.
We thought we had everything worked out with all her teachers and had gotten a final progress report on May 12, but she must have missed something those last 9 days that one teacher was not willing to let her make up. Won't know for sure until the teacher comes back in Aug.
Shayna says it was amazing how quickly that A turned into a B!
Oh well, she says the trip was more than worth it even if she has to keep the dreaded B.
:rolleyes2

You mean you guys actually looked at the cc bill?
I know I'm not ready for that kind of shock just yet!

Linda :rotfl2:

I agree with the name!

2007- maybe we should all go on the repo cruise to Spain- if that is what they do. How much do you think that would cost? I wonder when those dates will come out?

Hi guys, Kim here...

I spoke at length with my TA yesterday about some of the rumors concerning a repeat Panama Canal crossing and/or Alaska cruise in 2007. She has some high end contacts at DCL ( being some kind of special TA for them ) and the jist of everything is, DCL neither officially confirmed nor disagreed with our info. She and her contacts unofficially think the likelyhood could be high that this cruise(s) this will happen. We are now on a DCL waitlist for the 2007 Panama Crossing and/or the 1st Alaska cruise, thankfully no money required.

If DCL decides to do Panama again, great, if they decided to add Alaska count us in. Did not cost us anything to be placed on a waitlist. This can be just a pipe dream, or maybe it will really happen.

Bye, Kim

Jeff has our entrance forms for the marathon (1/2 anyways). We have to photocopy our DVC cards and his cast ID and mail it back. So we're 1/2 way there
