So glad to hear everyone is safe and sound....thank you Elaine for posting!

I wanted to share some family news with all my disboard family...Michael and I have been in the process of trying to adopt a child for approximately two years. We completed our home study and finalized our home for foster care one year ago and have been waiting patiently (kind of ) since then. Well, as with everything in life, when it rains it pours (no pun intended ). We bought a house in Napa and when I called our social worker to inform her that we would be moving she just asked when and a few other details. Within a week, she called us to tell us that we had been matched with a little girl. So, in the last three weeks, we have bought a house, sold a house (almost...today we hear offers), and have a new child joining our family!
Jasmine is three years old and will be our "forever" child this weekend! She is a very loving child, who is excited about having a big sister (Quincy) and a family. Here is a picture of the girls after their bath last night. What a pair!

Jasmine...welcome to the Disfamily...you will fit right in...afterall with the name Jasmine..how can you not be a Disney fan.

I could use some pixie dust from my fellow repo cruisers. I was laid off from my job on the 14th. I'm enjoying my time off, but unemployment isn't going to pay the mortgage. I hope I find something soon!

Good morning everyone! Wow, was I suprised to log on and see two pages in two days!

Georgie- thank you. Yes, we had a great time. It was hectic at WDW with my family- we needed reservations for 15 everytime we went to dinner . We were suppose to have Kay and Renae with us for dinner one night for Noah's birthday party- but Disney would not let me add more people to the reservation- after they told me I could.
So, I did not get to see them.

Maybe in January.....



Angela, sorry to hear about your news. Scott is right, everything happens for a reason.....just let us know what it is, when you find out.


Laurie, very awesome! Will you still be on the Sept. cruise, with the new addition? Sounds like you have had a busy weeks.


Noah is now up and in bed with me, he wants to say hi and let everyone know he had a new Star Wars game for his birthday.

HI EVERYBODY!!!!

We have internet again!!!!! Our internet connection comes through West Palm Beach, which is down near Leslie, where everything is down, so we didn't know if we'd have it back soon or late.

For anyone coming down to Orlando in the next week, it's COLD here!!!! After Wilma left, a Canadian (thanks Elaine) cold front came in and our high today is supposed to be 60*!!! Our low last night was 45*!!!!! I'm so happy! We put the extra blanket on the bed and we get to wear sweaters! It will only last until next Monday, but it's nice to have real fall weather for a change. It should be back to 80* next Monday, but they think the 90's are gone for this year.... HOORAY!!!!

Leslie, if you can see this, your phone doesn't work, (as if you didn't know that...) Please let me know when you get this how you're doing and if you need anything.

Thanks to everyone for your hugs, pixie dust, and prayers. You all are the best! This is my 4th layoff in 21 years, so I guess you could say I'm becoming an old pro!

I'm glad everyone came through the hurricane alright. Let's pray for no more for the rest of this hurricane season. You all have been through more than enough between this year and last.

I wish I could make a trip down to WDW now while the weather is so cool. Nothing can help me forget my problems better than being at the most magical place on earth. But I guess it's not exactly in my budget right now. That's the problem with being a working person - when you have the money to travel, you don't have the time. When you have the time, you don't have the money.
