Hi Kids,

Back from the DVC Member Cruise, good time for sure, too short after the 14 day.
Cat 3 was nice, sorry I missed some of your emails and PM's.

Got to SLC yeaterday to learn that a lightening strike took out all the Nav aids at teh Jackson Airport, Flew us to Idaho Falls then bussed us 2 hours to Jackson, Two bus trips on this journey, thanks to weather.

The horn was fun.

Debbie Keep Up the good work,

Debbie! Wow! Great to see you on TV! Thanks to you and all the other Red Cross people for all you do! :cheer2:

Steve, I love the timeline! Very cute! princess: :wizard:

Scott, Congrats on the horn...glad to hear you and Lynn had a good time! pirate:

I loved the news report. So nice to see you again Debbie - you look great.

Celeste, send your friend my email too. I would be happy to help with her planning.

Wow,

Peter, thanks for putting that up for us!

Debbie, you looked like a hardworking Red Cross official, that can't be horrible! We're all very proud of you!!!

Thanks Leslie, I hope they were good. LOL will see if we can get ya an extra pin.

Wish we could have been there, long day with over sold flights, delayed flights etc.

Where's the violin?????

You forgot to mention the $800 in your pocket (well....kinda), for future flights (to Orlando?) for that bump you and Lynn took....................

Debbie, don't be ridiculous you looked great and did a great job. Thank you Peter for providing the link. I tried to find a clapping hand smilie but couldn't so this will have to do :worship:

Ditto-awesome job Debbie!

Peter-you must be back working. Sorry we missed you in FL.

Thanks Leslie and Joe and Eric and Renae for coming out to see us! Did anyone take a group picture? Leslie..got a new camera yet?

I don't have any pictures of us, but I swear someone took a pic or two. Need it for the scrapbook you know.

The 4 day was too short, too busy, but got great gifts! Can't wait for the 11 day so things will be at a less hectic pace. Too many overlapping activities which forced us to choose.

As if the 14-night was any better!

Somehow, I think the 11-night is going to be crazy as well. After all, MouseAdventure on the High Seas has to make a reappearance!

Yippee :cool1: another Scavenger Hunt...at least this time I won't have far to travel to hand in my entry :rotfl2:

Linda,

I'm glad you got home ok. I didn't know how long you would be in town. Was the cruise fun for you too? and did you think it was too short? Just wondering....

Renae

OOPS... didn't see your above post!

I agree! Great job Debbie!
I don't know about the photo Linda... I thought we took a photo at the Pirate thing.... but it's not on my camera... I'll ask Joe. Or maybe it was Georgie that took it?? :confused3
I still have my good camera that I forgot on the cruise. The cheaper replacement that I had to buy was the one that got destroyed in Mazatlan. At least that's ONE good thing that came out of that adventure. :teeth:
It was great to see you guys again! How did the Scavenger hunt end up??

Hi to everyone! I must catch up with the posts done while we were gone... we came home to no connection for the computer! :guilty:

Just want to say... thanks for coming by to see us at the scavenger hunt! Boy, that boosted me up :flower:

Gotta go... I'm here at work!

GOSH I MISS EVERYONE!!! So glad we got to share dinner with Linda and company... and the shows with Scott + Lynn!

Hi to all out there.

Georgie, it was good to see you also.

Not much activity on this tread, I had trouble even finding it, it was not listed on the first page of threads!

Dr. Bill, did you make it home safely?

Lynn

Dont ever take our Mum and dad

Hi Lynn, yes we did make it home. We went to Typhoon Lagoon on the Saturday after the cruise and stayed until 10PM. YES,, 10PM. It was glorious. Crush'n gusher at TPL closes at 7:30 because they don't have lights for it,,,,, YET. Took the plane home via Newark and , unbelievable, we flew over New York on ,,, 9-11!!!!!!!!!!!! It makes you reflect, big time. Angela and the girls saw the Statue of Liberty from the plane. I think we will try for the next cruise, although, Billy and Kristen would rather wait for a seven or longer day cruise. How about you guys,, all okay?
Bill PS,,,, If it isn't too nosey, do you actually use all of your points, yearly? I don't know how many you have , but I assume it is alot. We seem to be using ours faster than I ever thought. But the maintenance fee and additional purchases are not really a possibility right now. I am curious what is your take on Saratoga Springs and the extra years there. Is it really worthwhile for an 80-85 year old in forty years.

Oh Bill....

Good to see you posting on this site...we've missed you. Maybe you and Angela should come on the 11 night without the kids?

Robb has officially given me permission to go on the member cruise by MYSELF! (as long as I get the cheapest room possible) I am actually considering going....I don't mind traveling by myself- I'm sure there will be someone there who knows me. If not I'll meet someone. Didn't Lesley go by herself on the 14 day?

Anyone else considering doing both?

Yes Lynn, this site has been very quiet. I kept on popping in today and there wasn't much activity on either this thread or the 11 night. I kept on debating on posting a "bump" thread on this site- but decided not to.

Bill, Yes, we do manage to use all our points each year. I think we will still be enjoying Disney at age 80 or 85!

We did make it home safely, but because of a lightning stike to the tower at our local airport, zapping all the navigational aids, we were flown to Idaho Falls airport and bussed, AGAIN, to Jackson, a 2 hour bus ride. We spent more time on busses on this trip!!!!

We will be going on the 11 day, very unlikely we will be going on the next member cruise also, they are too close together. We also are planning another trip to Africa in Jan. 2007, that takes LOTS of points, so we will have to be conservative in our point use in 2006 so we can bank some over to 2007.

Celeste, how is the night going? I'm off in 20 minutes, better start cleaning up loose ends!.

Yes, Lesley did go on the cruise without her family. It was the most indulgent thing I have ever done. Some days I would attend activities and some days I would lay out on Deck 7 with no one around. However, I was never alone! There were always friends. I had a chance to meet most of the people in our group and many more.

My advice is to go Celeste.
