I got a call from the reporter. You guys know I am camera shy.

You seek the unbrulee, feel the unbrulee, it is strong within you it is. LOL

And we all know that Lynn is really in charge

Well, of course she is, I am no fool, yes seriee, I want to live to be 93. Wasn't that a Jimmy Cricket song.

Kelli, I have actually already had my 15 min, well, actually more like 4 seconds of fame, I was on Rescue 911 once, a long time ago in a galaxy far, far, away, for about 4 seconds!

Hey Check this out, I made the paper

Very cool! Thanks for sharing. Don't they also have a snuba dive in this tank as well- I would like to do that....any info?

Sorry Celeste, no solid info here on the Sasa , Surface Snorkeling with a Scuba tank, foget what it stands for. But I know they have it. I think there was a review of that program in All Ears.

Amy and I had our 15 minutes in 2001 at a media day event at our nearest Six Flags park for the first rides on their new coaster. Of course, Amy is terrified of coasters and I love them so I was riding while she was waiting at a bench.

Of course, who does the local online paper choose to interview? Yep, Amy. This quote appeared on vallejonews.com:

As others ran past reporters to get in line for another ride, reactions floated through the air behind them: "Fabulous!" "Awesome!" "Unbelievable!"

But not everyone was charged up about riding the Vertical Velocity.

"My husband is the one who loves coasters," said Amy Martin, who relaxed on a bench reading a book. "They scare me. I'm happy sitting on the ground."

Just like you Lynn, no mention of me by name! Fast forward a year or so and I'm home watching a new coaster show on the Travel Channel and there is the media day we were at!!!

I saw the first launch of the coaster I was on and could clearly see the people in front of me and the guy next to me. All you could see of me was my shoes for about 2 seconds.

I was still elated because of my new fame. Not much could bring me down, right??? Not ten seconds later, they showed Amy in full view walking around the park for about 7 seconds.

I just can't win! :confused3

Steve that is a great story, WOW we sure had a bunch of celebs on our cruise. LOL

I was on CSPAN once for about 5 seconds.

I wouldn't really want to be on CSPAN any longer than that.

Hi Scott

And to think that we were there for your big moment in the spotlight. I should have had you sign my Dive Quest shirt! (but the really valuable signature would have been Lynn's).

Congratulations to Lance Armstrong for finishing his bicycling career with a stage win and the overall win in the Tour de France! Not everyone can go out when they are at the top of their choosen profession. I rode 45 miles today and was very happy to average a little more then half his average speed today.

Ohhhhh, I can contribute to this one!

My Mom and I were contestants on the game show Supermarket Sweep! I got to wear a "cool" sweatshirt and run around a fake grocery store trying to spend as much money as possible!

We won and were invited to come back for a Champion Supermarket Sweep. That time we lost, and our consolation prize was a sleeping bag! :rotfl2:

A sleeping bag? Wow....that stinks.

My claim: My picture was once on the front page of all three major newspapers in Utah after I lobbied for more funding for college students. I held up a sign that said, "Giv uz an edukation" and there I was on the top fold on a Sunday morning...this was roughly 12 years ago.

As impressed as I am with ALL you closet celebs (and I truly am) :cool1: I just gotta say that this takes the cake!!! I love that show!!! Is what's-his-name really as geeky as he seems?!?!?! :scratchin I can't even think of his name right now....what color sweatshirt did you get....I always wanted to be 2nd, so I could wear the blue....... :rotfl: I'm not really a red kinda gal....

On the reunion cruise, I gotta remember to bring a brand new autograph book. I'll spend the cruise going up to people and asking how famous they are......:rotfl2:

I can contribute to this also - Credit Scott for this topic. :rotfl:

I used to be an avid bowler and was going pro but my children were more important to me at the time. I entered my name in a $5,000 drawing from Don Carters Bowling Lanes in Tamarac, FL.

Well, low and behold, they drew my name at a banquet in Miami on a Sunday night and I was at the lanes bowling. I was called to the front desk and they announced it over the PA and totally embarrassed me in front of everyone. Of course, everyone kept saying "drinks on Kay". I didn't live that one down for a long time. It was in our local paper. Geez, I spent that money at least 3 x's.

During the same month, I came in first place in our local County Bowling Tournament for women in Tamarac again and that was in the paper also.

It was all fun and we still talk about it today with our friends when we see them.

Who is next with their story :rotfl:

Edited to add:

I was also on the Mickey Mouse Club in Columbia, S.C. when I was 12 years old. Now that was fun. I sang a song and had on a pink dress and I forgot to put the belt on it and that that was terrible. Oh, the things we regret.......
