HAPPY BIRTHDAY RENAE!!! :rockband: :bday:

Wow, another Taurus. We'll be taking over the ship. :cool1:

That's fantastic news about your job Kim. Yet another reason to celebrate on our cruise!! :flower:

Robin: Just read about your nightmare with Aimee's docs! :scared1: I did have to laugh at the image of her snatching them from the other porch though. Imagine having to explain that to a patrol officer if someone saw you and called the cops!!! Glad it all worked out though:wizard: ... who knows where DCL is getting these old addresses. :confused3 Kimberly: Thank goodness your boss wised up and came to his senses!! Congratulations.... I'm sure that's a load off your mind!

I Remember Disney did not honor the Credit , But Dreams Unlimited Travel.
did .. And The people who booked thru them recieved the Credit..

I Think.. Peter

I sure do remember. Let's face it, no one was ready to modify their existing onboard booked ressie until they knew the price, if they could get the time off, etc.

We all know how the rates were increasing in leaps and bounds while it booked up. What DCL insisted on doing was rebooking at the current price, not the one that it was held at when it first opened. With the dramatic price increases, it wasn't worth it doing it that way.

As Peter mentioned, Dreams did honor it on our own. :flower:

Good morning cruisers!!
10 days from now we will be lining up at the Port and scaring the heck out of the CM's (and Non-DIS passengers) with our craziness!! Can't wait!
Packing anxiety really hit me this AM as I looked over all the piles of clothes and "stuff" that I have everywhere! I think it might be a good idea to look over our calendar and kind of plan out what to wear each day.... I've never done this but I'm thinking it might help me eliminates some of these things that I probably won't wear anyway.... Does anyone else do this? Does it work? :confused3

Then I have to organize the pins that I'm going to bring.
AND I ONLY HAVE 7 DAYS TO DO THIS SINCE WE ARE NOW LEAVING ON 5/11.......:cheer2: Not until late afternoon though.
Hey you guys who are doing DiveQuest on 5/12.... what time will you be there... maybe we'll come and try to catch you in the tank. :fish:

I know exactly what you mean about the packing anxiety! I finally laid out all of my clothes, made a list of what I had, then started pairing tops and bottoms together. I have made a list of what I plan to wear each day and each night. It's the only way to make sure you pack just the right amount of clothes, in my opinion. The task was overwhelming at first, but I felt a lot better once I finished.

It's funny, though. Every time I cross something off my to-do list, I think of 2 more things to add! :teeth:

Yes I do this! Actually so far this time it is mental (no comments from you or NO DRINKS on the cruise! :) ), but I usually makes a spreadsheet to organize my thoughts. I took an afternoon off from work for clothing selection last week :teeth:. Mixed and matched then put everything in the bag to make sure it would fit. I had extra room so I started pulling what I liked for "extra" clothes.

Of course when I'm on the ship everthing goes out the window because I change my mind. About the only thing that stays the same are the suits! Plus I have to stay out of stores (kind of hard when you work p/t in a mall) because I might find something else I *have* to have. Which reminds me, I have some coupons expiring tomorrow...hmm... :)

I think I'm only bringing 4-5 pants/capris for dinner. Between the semi/formal nights that will cover the whole cruise, can mix and match with shirts, etc.

Can you tell there is a little thought? :) Just a little!

If you're bringing 4-5 pants/capris, then I have to bring 6/7 plus a couple of skirts. ::yes::

Kara,
I shopped at Anthropologie in Berkeley. I had been to the one in the city, but had never tried any of their clothes on. They really had some cute things!
Hm, never been to that store, and my mother used to work in Ber-zerkeley. I'll have to make a trip up that way when we get back from the trip.

No time now! :earseek:

Good Morning Cruisers!

Only...

8 days before we leave, or

192 hours, or

11520 minutes, or

691200 seconds before we leave!

not that I'm excited at all.

Is this a contest? I can win. I have many clothes. And many suitcases. :) hehehe

The hard part was saying goodbye to favorite clothes... Had to decide what was current and not in the "short pants." Capris are so hard to find for men, and I don't like shorts...oh the sacrifices...

But remember Regina, if you throw something out you get to buy something to replace it!

WOW... this is really really really hard..... but I will not comment...:rotfl: :rotfl: :drinking1 well, on the mental part anyway......:rotfl:
I am the spreadsheet queen.... now why didn't I think of making one for the clothes! Excel here I come. Thanks for the hints.

The key here is we all wear spedo's and the appropriate shirt. So for a formal night you wear your black spedo and a tux shirt, pirate night the red spedo and a stripped shirt. That way you only need three or four spedo's and a some shirts.

Now would that be a sight or what? Think I would look like a stuffed sausage :-)

Oh ya! My docs will be here today!!! Just checked the UPS tracking site -- they left south SF this morning at 4:16! That means they are here in the Napa UPS station. :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Can't wait until I can

Well another day... Still looking for the Brown truck :rolleyes2

Hope everyone is doing well, and getting packed.

Bye, Kim

THANKS FOR THE HEADS UP LESLIE!!!

We are leaving for Disneyland tomorrow morning 11 a.m. flight. I'll pop over to the VISA site and print out because I am sure the CM's won't know what the heck I'm talking about when I want a discount! Happens more often than not for me......

By the way...........for anyone in the Disneyland area, our DD Jamie (13) will be singing and dancing her way through DL and CA this Fri/Sat.

If anyone is completely packed, has absolutely nothing to do, and wants to come watch her perform, here is the schedule:

Friday-12:30 p.m. Disneyland-Carnation Plaza stage, (just to the left at the front of Cinderella's Castle)

Saturday-10:30 a.m. California Adventure, Hollywood Stage.

On Saturday they probably won't be doing costume changes as there is no backstage area. Hopefully the weather clears up and there will be no rain!

So, my computer time will be minimal this weekend..........but I am taking my laptop!

Linda

Earlier this evening I was called by a very pleasant DCL CM asking me how we were getting to the port as we had not booked transfers through Disney. I explained that we were renting a car and returning it near the port. She then asked how we were getting to the airport in LA. I explained about the rental car there too. She seemed pleased to know we had made plans because she said there were many people who had not made any plans for transportation. She thanked me and we were done, so I thought. About 30 min. later she called back to confirm what I had told her, rental car to Port Canaveral and also rental at port in LA. Just wanted to be sure she said, then thanks and goodbye.

Has anyone else had one of these calls, we have cruised with DCL a couple of times before with the same travel set up and have never had one of these calls.

See you all soon,
Christine

I got the call last night, also. I was told that DCL was calling EVERYONE to get their flight & transfer info. Apparently, some people think they will park their car at Port Canaveral for the cruise and then get it when the cruise is over...HELLO?? :rotfl: Disney knows they would be stuck finding a way for these people to get their car back (although they really shouldn't be, if people are that dumb :rolleyes1 ), so they want to avoid any potential problems their guests might have. You've got to give them major kudos for this! I'm hoping this attention is going to be seen throughout the cruise! The lovely DCL lady I talked to said Disney knows the majority of us cruisers on the 14th are repeat cruisers, so they are working hard to make things different and special for us!

Wayyyyyyy back in this thread, we talked about the size of the mailing tube to take with you so you can get the Ducky Williams litho home.

What would be a good size to get?

Debbie

:grouphug: :cloud9: T :grouphug:

Mine is about 2-3" in diameter and 30" long and has that pop off white top.
I figure I will be able to roll up my parents and ours and put in the tube. You will also receive the mat or paper (cardboard frame/folder?) they will probably put it in. I just carried those on the plane in a shopping bag. But I was paranoid about getting my lithos bent or dinged.

Linda,

30"? Are the prints that big?

HELP!!! Anyone ever been to HIGH TEA??
This will be my first High Tea on the cruise. What is the dress code here? Do I have to get dressed up... skirt etc? I'll probably have to go straight from scrapbooking so this may be a problem. :earseek:

I just strolled over to the Boardwalk Resort and bought a new shirt at the General Store. Let's see you do the same. Oh, that's right, you can't. You're not in Mickey land, are you?? ;) :teeth:
