Ahhhh if we only knew...... :rotfl:
My guess is that 5/14 will be considered a Port Day... and we'll get the voucher at 5:30, once we are underway. Up Beat can only open when we are out in the water... so my guess is that they will clarify the info on the LA pin and it will be done the day before while we are at Sea on the way to LA. Remember this is my GUESS... Disney can change things anytime and they usually do. ;)

Okay, add me to the confused pin bunch.

Where do we get the vouchers? At Up Beat? OR can you get them throughout the ship and show up at Beat Up, I mean Up Beat to get your pin?

If you get a voucher, does that mean there is a pin waiting for you or do they give out 2.5 million vouchers and make us fight like a coupe third graders to get our pins.

IMHO, the limited availability of the pins should be enough for ONE per person on the ship. This is a very special cruise for all. If my 110 year old grandmother isn't quick on the draw, she shouldn't miss the opportunity to have a token of her voyage. We earned and paid for the right of passage, therefore we should all be provided the opportunity to walk off the ship with each and every pin.

It will certainly grump me up if I see these pins on eBay and many people wanting them on the cruise missed out...

Again JMHO.

Rant off.

Have a Magical night!

I've moaned all along about what an idiot my AAA agent is. Today I called her to ask that she check AGAIN on the status of the documents. She said that she got them, and she sent them overnight to the AAA office closer to my house so I could pick them up, thought that would be easier. Easier than say, sending them TO MY HOUSE????? :confused3 What a dork.

Pixie dust that I get there and find a happy upgrade! :wizard:

Ty wishes the birthday girl a happy day!

NEWS FLASH!!!!

"Gloria Gaynor" arrested on Disney Magic.................................

After hundreds of passengers "reported" missing KTTW cards, ship security personnel discovered "Gloria" with over 1000 KTTW cards in her Disney Pin Trading Bag. Seems she was getting free drinks for every KTTW turned into her in order to purchase the much coveted Limited Edition pins on the Kingdom to Kingdom Cruise!!!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

CNN reports she tried to flee the security forces but was unable to escape. An undisclosed law enforcement representative was quoted as saying "Gloria was apprehended after a brief foot pursuit. She slipped on her spilt Brandy Alexander. Upon inspection of her Gucci back pack over 122 lbs of limited edition cruise pins were confiscated.". Her remaining performances can be viewed in the Gray Wall performance hall.

Stay tuned for more late breaking news tonight at eleven. Now to sports...

I completely agree with you. How many staterooms are there? I mean with a limit of 500, if people line up with all their kids, they could all be gone in seconds flat. Not fair JMHO! I personally would like one hubcap, and one of each pin to put on the map. If I have to miss dinner...so be it and it sounds like some of the days this will no doubt happen.

Earlier this evening I was called by a very pleasant DCL CM asking me how we were getting to the port as we had not booked transfers through Disney. I explained that we were renting a car and returning it near the port. She then asked how we were getting to the airport in LA. I explained about the rental car there too. She seemed pleased to know we had made plans because she said there were many people who had not made any plans for transportation. She thanked me and we were done, so I thought. About 30 min. later she called back to confirm what I had told her, rental car to Port Canaveral and also rental at port in LA. Just wanted to be sure she said, then thanks and goodbye.

Has anyone else had one of these calls, we have cruised with DCL a couple of times before with the same travel set up and have never had one of these calls.

See you all soon,
Christine

Hi Christine!

I got an email from DU. She said Disney is trying to assess the need for additional buses both in Florida and California.

OH I HOPE I GET ONE OF THOSE CALLS!!! I will gladly tell DCL that I would have been happy to take their transfers if they weren't so ridiculous at $59 per person!!

Doc-less in Seattle, too. Say, wasn't there a movie about that...? :earboy2:

Bad humor, but I have to amuse myself somehow when I have no docs....

Beth

I think tomorrow will be the day for us up in Seattle.
We may get rain but hopefully the docs will be a ray of sunshine.
Yikes....thats corny.

Good Luck Beth!

Well, at least my TA received my cruise docs. I had intended to go pick mine up after work, but ended up having a hunch about my cat's strange behavior this morning and made a vet appointment instead. I was right. My "large" cat Dinah has developed diabetes. :( I had thought she was looking (relatively) scrawny lately -- went from 21 lbs to 15 lbs in 2 years. Fortunately my mom said it wouldn't be a problem to give her the insulin shots twice daily while I'm away. Whew!

And then after I returned home, I had a strange urge to look in my utility cabinet and saw that my hot water heater has evidence of a small leak. AGH!!!!!

Oh, and for the person who was wondering about the improv meet, it will be held during an at sea day, at a location with a bar, and probably with very little advance notice. Of course, if I end up with an "all spectator" turnout, there won't be much of meet. At any rate, it's all in fun and totally informal.

Coffee is strong at the cafe du monde
Donuts are too hot to touch
Just like a fool, when those sweet goodies cool
I eat ’til I eat way too much

Sorry Bob I forgot which Buffett song the above lyrics came from, it’s “THE WINO & I KNOW”.

Okay.. better late than never...

:bday: HAPPY BIRTHDAY RENAE!!:bday:

Georgie LOVED your Doc song... even better than a doc dance!!
CONGRATS TO ALL WHO RECIEVED DOCS TODAY!!

Lynda..Congrats on your docs! .. just curious.. does Cash get docs too??

You too, Danica!

I got an email from my TA (Carol, who is also on the cruise) tonight that my docs were mailed from her agency today, priority mail, and I should receive them Thursday or Friday. At least I know they're on their way.

Okay, so I was madly tracking my UPS number all day at work. Then suddenly, I saw it was delivered and left at the door :earseek: So I called DD and asked her to leave work and go home and save them......I get a phone call......"Mom, there is nothing here?" In a panic, I told her to check the back door, check the neighbors door. No nothing.........Then I said, now Aimee, this is not April fools day, this is not funny if it is a joke. "but Mom, I know how you have been freaking about them, why would I do that" Okay, so I call UPS and demanded to know just "WHAT address they left my documents at the door" Of course the rep was rude, and told me to call back in 3 hours when it is updated in the system...............I waited all of 15, and called back. I told the rep I NEEDED to know where they were delivered, because if they WERE delivered to my house, they are not there now, and I need to CALL THE POLICE. I am SO upset about now, I would have used some very unlady like language if I was not at work. She comes back on line, and says the delivery was for Aimee, not me and it went to my Mom's address. Well........my Mom passed away almost a year ago, and her condo is LONG sold to someone else. Disney screwed up big time! I told Aimee to go drive over there, and GET THEM! :rotfl: Like a thief in the night, I had her go to a strangers house and remove a package from the front door :rotfl2:

Sorry this is so long, but they only sent Aimee's docs! To the wrong address! But we have them.............Aimee said, well Mom at least ONE of us gets to enjoy the cruise! :earseek:

Mine apparently have a different tracking number, coming here.........someday, I hope

It could only happen to me...............

Robin

Robin,
I cannot believe that!?! I would have been crazed :scared1: :scared1:

Hopefully, you receive your docs soon!!

Good morning cruisers:

10 days before we get to board the ship. OMG - it is soooo close now.

For those traveling early and getting to WDW before and having fun, ENJOY TO THE FULLEST and we'll see everyone soon.

I really hate the thought of pay $180 for the internet use on the ship for two weeks. Still have not decided if I am going to do it or not. Another decision to finalize.

HAVE a good day and hope the remainder of the DOCS gets to everyone today.
