I packed four bottles of water, within decorative wine tubes, in a small appliance box. When I joked with the shipper( UPS Store, formerly Mail Boxes, Etc.), who is a friend of mine, that I was shipping wine to the ship she told me that their shipper couldn't do that.
I laughed and explained about the decorative wine tubes of water she said she knew the ones I was using...She had paid $6.00 each at Wal-Mart for a couple herself before finding out they were selling at Michael's for half that. Needless to say, off went my tall water bottles, unopened at this end and, I hope to see them arrive sparkling clear and unsipped at the other... I hope automatic coffee pots are not prohibited, too...

DH and I plan on stopping by the grocery store to pick up beverages and spirts in FL- I think it would be easier and cheaper to do that rather than ship it. We may hand carry some regional wine for the wine party. Is DCL really giving us a room for that? As I used to work in the hospitality industry- I don't see why they would or could. Maybe liquor laws are different at sea?
Anymore info on this onboard wine party??? Date, time, location???

Thanks!
Celeste

According to my call to DCL................get this...................tickets are printed off in "batches" and according to what batch you were put in, that's when your tickets print.......................so I asked, does that mean the earlier I booked, the later batch I am in? Could be, they said......................

So I booked the 1st day, as soon as the cruise opened up on the ressie system. Anyone else out there from the 1st day who HASN'T gotten their docs yet?

We booked the first day and we still don't have our docs either. Our TA said they would be mailed directly from DCL sometime this week. I guess we will play the waiting game for a while longer.

I mailed two large boxes to the port yesterday. Thinking about mailing one more..we did preliminary packing to see if we have enough room..lol.

Have a great day everyone!

Cheryl

The engravable name badges are sold and engraved in the back of the Christmas Shop at DTD... as well as the MK and MGM. The cost is $6 +tax and includes the name engraving. :wizard:

We will be at WDW this weekend.... if anyone wants one in advance... I'll be happy to pick it up for you just PM me with which one you want and the name you want on it. They do the name all in CAPS.. just so you know. At least at DTD. I, of course, had to have the Villains.......

Having recently moved to the midwest- and working in Wisconsin. I am amazed at the loyalty to the Packers. I commented last weekend to DH that people wear the clothing year round and they are such big fans. So when I found this story, I had to share....

Jail or Packers tickets...

Darn! :sad2: You mean, I can't send any attachment to an email (from a disk, without putting it on DCL's computer?) :badpc:

My understanding and memory is that you only have access to the monitor and keyboard and nothing else, so there is no way to access a disk drive etc.

I have a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNGGGGG book you can read about it. And so does Scott H.

I preferred Scott's Cliff Notes version. Much easier (and shorter) to read!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Of course, cash will work better if I'm buying crappies in Mexico...

I'm game, what are crappies, or is it something that I'd rather not know about. :scared1:

Crappies can be anything you want them to be. In my store, they are the 'souvies' or the fixture with $10 (mostly $6) and under toys, tinkets, keychains, etc. So in Mexico my crappies would be blankets/throws, wood things, carved things, blablabla that you find everywhere. Think Mexico in Epcot, only cheaper! :) Been to the real Mexico before, but that was like 13 years ago...

Got crappies? :) Hmm, maybe I could sell that to the dollar store... :) hehehehehehe

CmpkC and Family, and anyone else who is not on the Pirate name master list who has not already PM'd us, when you get your pirate name, send us a PM, we are making letters of marque for everyone for Pirate's night (see Peter's update for info). We don't want to miss anyone who has a pirate name.
Lynn (and Scott)

Ahhhhh...

In my neck of the woods we call that stuff Gee Gaws... or dust collectors..

Once again today, No brown truck... Last box will get shipped out Thursday or Friday. My other 2 boxes already went and have been signed for ... I decided to pack the sail away gifts in one of the boxes.Too much stuff to carry on Saturday otherwise. I think that the boxes we ship most likely will be in our cabins 1st thing Saturday. I wonder how many boxes are being shipped by our group. We are good for 3 boxes, 2 for the ship and 1 for the orphanage.

Bye, Kim

:earsboy: :earsgirl:
Let me introduce our family:
We are the Grindley's from Seattle WA area. There are 6 of us: Rick, Pat and our 4 children Shannon (20), Kristen (18), Patrick (16 - soon to be 17 on
May 18th) and our little one Kelly (13 - yeah she can finally go into the teen room!) Panama Canal cruise is our 4th Disney Cruise - and wouldn't go any other way. We are very excited about the cruise and have spent the last year "researching" the Panama Canal - and each of our destinations. We are now trying to decide what excursions we would like to go on. Is it possible to split ourselves 6 ways? Everyone wants to do something different. We only have 18 days left to agree on something:rotfl2:

Are there any other Seattle families going?

Looks like we have our work cut out for us - I will be spending the next 15 days going through all of your messages. I did notice the message on the t-shirts - and they are now on the way to us. My kiddies just love it when we all dress alike  Trying to figure out how to order the Door Magnets - so hopefully when can join in.

We all look forward to meeting you all on the cruise.
The Grindley Family

Forgot to add - we are huge Jimmy Buffet fans (any of you out there?), and I love to scrapbook (planning on looking into that) and knit. Rick just recently got certified to scuba dive - and is bringing all of his equipment.

I sure hope they don't stack all those boxes in crates like they do the luggage all that WATER (LOL) will be crushed.

:scared: :scared: :scared: :scared: :scared: :scared:

Is anyone else doing any of the activities at the Curacao Aquarium? We registered online for the 11 am Animal Encounter dive, never received a confirmation and then, after my emailing twice, received SOMEONE ELSE'S confirmation, complete with their credit card number, which I promptly deleted. Has anyone else been having problems?? :sad2:

So glad you explained crappies. I couldn't figure out why you were buying fish in Mexico!

:sad2: No docs for us either. I want my docs!!!
