Got a bit excited there for a minute... the dogs started barking like crazy and I went to the door to find a box..... but not the right box. :sad2:

It was my new wetsuit.... okay I NEED HELP
How do you put this thing on... dry right? HOW?? this is impossible! For me to get into this thing I need it to be about 6 sizes bigger!!! I am gonna look like Barney in this thing! Anyone skinny need a (supposedly) size 12 full wetsuit? This looks more like a size 6-8 to me... although the tag says 12! Now I'm gonna freeze on the snorkel adventure. :cold:

Could anyone use a women's size 12 (Medium) short wetsuit, maroon/black?....I used mine four or five times and then had to give up swimming in water that moves by itself...Might be easier to get into than a full length one....

Woof, woof...

I was wondering if there were any cruisers from San Diego out there? If so, how are you getting back to San Diego after we dock on the 28th? Thanks for any help-
Colleen

Sorry, we are not from San Diego.

I did want to welcome you to our group!!

Just got off the phone with the dentist. Of course, had to crack a tooth right before the cruise, but he said no root canal...yet. (Just take heavy drugs on the cruise, right?) Ya'll send me good vibes to get thru and enjoy that yummy food.

Off to phone Debbie!

The Other Liz...Liz C.
(the better half of Bill3540)

Ouch Liz! I'm sorry to hear about that. You know, the servers are awfully accomodating. Why don't we ask that they bring desserts first and appetizers last? That way, if you get sore mid-meal, you still win!

I'm sure there will be enough 'Magic' to get you through the trip! :wizard:

Bill,

As far as I know there is nothing officially planned for breakfast at POFQ, but several people said they were planning to come over, so... Whenever anyone comes by, come to the front desk and say hi.

You should probably be okay without it. We went last May and the water was surprisingly warm in the Caribbean. I don't know how Mexico will be but I can't imagine it being bad. We aren't bringing one and are snorkeling at every port besides Mazatlan.

If I'm wrong, my wife posted this! :earboy2:

Less Drowsy dramamine still puts me to sleep.... I never got motion sick until I was pregnant- Mission Space was awesome but put me into the cold sweats and I felt like my head was "shaken- not stirred". My husbands company makes the relief bands- we can get one for free- but we have to buy the other one...$74.00. We've cruised in May before and the seas were calm...so I don't know.

I should have mentioned that I only take one each morning instead of two. I may take another at night as needed. I haven't tried them in a setting where there is a bed nearby or those deck 4 lounge chairs! Those chairs are enough to put me to sleep without help!

I'll be curious to hear how the bands work for you. I'm always looking for a non-drug alternative.

Yeah....blame your better half!!!!!

I don't know about you guys, but the Pacific is alot colder in my opinion. I've never enjoyed the water that early in the season except for when I was a kid. But then my idea of the ideal temperature is about 88 degrees!!!!

Ginger root capsules... take two twice a day... start the day before we sail and keep it up as preventative. Worked great for me on all 4 cruises so far.

Now for the wetsuit dilemma... I will try getting it wet and putting it on.... maybe in the shower...:rotfl2: Do they EXPAND when they get wet?? Cause I don't think it's gonna fit no matter what I do!. I think this may be a Jr size or something. That's what I get for buying something on Ebay that I know nothing about! Are you supposed to wear a bathing suit under this thing...it's THICK... the listing said 3mm which I thought would be a bit more flimsy but what the heck do I know!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: Linda you would be having a field day with the camera....:rotfl2: I can't see myself trying to get into this in an itty bitty stall out at Serenity Bay!

Do you think the Captain will get put on Administrative Leave?

Maybe he will want to take a vacation on the MAGIC!!!!!

NOT.....................

Linda

(Actually we were on Radiance of the Seas, RCCL, and loved it two years ago. That's the ship we took through the Panama Canal, May 2003)......

How high were the winds when the captain was trying to dock us at CC on the 10 day Christmas Cruise? I didn't think we were going to make it to shore................

Linda

Linda,

Exactly how cold are we talking here? I hadn't thought about it being colder in the Pacific that far south! I grew up NOT swimming on Oregon beaches, but it was warmer in So. CA... I've gotten spoiled since moving to FL!

Renae

:cheer2:Congratulations Jamie!!:cheer2:
Way to go! Linda... you better call and have them up the limit on your Disney Visa...:rotfl: As a former Colorguard Mom I used my airmiles card for the squad trips etc.... Let's just say we had enough airmiles for Joe and I to fly to France and Germany....:rotfl:

Can't believe those pictures of the damage to the ship..... whew... what kind of winds did they have?? Hurricane force? I would think it would take a pretty good wind to push a cruise ship!

Ok. I know this is heresy given the fashion of the day. I'm a utilitarian type. Example, photo book collection = labelled manila folders in the filing cabinet's bottom drawer. So, forgive if I mash on toes. :worship:
But, can someone please tell me what is this fascination with Scrapbooking?
I'm not completely devoid of understanding various hobby crafts: Quilting, I've done and enjoyed it. Needlework, crewel, needlepoint, lacemaking, candlwicking, beading and jewelry crafting, I understand. Knitting, crocheting, I get. Papermaking and cardmaking, even soap and candlemaking, I understand. But so many of my friends have joined the craze spending oodles and gobs of money on something beyone me. Isn't it paying lots of money for paper and glue and ribbons and multi-colored bits of this and that cut-up by scissors with funny diecut edges or inked with rubber stamps? What makes it so much fun? :magnify:

It's terrible being weird. :charac2:

I really would like to see cat 8,9,10,11, and 12 also, anybody listening? I anticipate that in the future I will be staying in these categories. I tend to think that I would do very well without a window. I like the thought of total darkness.
We only have had a cat. 4 before and now a cat. 3. The light coming in has always bothered me in any place including my own house. Guess I should fix that.
:rotfl: :rotfl2:
Bill

Bill, I'll show you our cat 9 (on deck 2) if we can see (and drool) over your cat 3!!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Cabo San Lucas sports Fishing
by Janet (Scratch42)

(5.5 – 6 hours) Hook, line and stinker! This deep-sea fishing adventure will lure novices and seasoned anglers alike to one of the world’s top sport fishing destinations. A 28-foot cabin cruiser will take you on an approximate 30-minute ride to a prime fishing spot. Here, the crew will rig fishing lines to trail lures; if fish strike, guests will have a chance to fight and reel in a fish from the fishing chair. A boxed lunch and beverages are included in your approximate 3.5 hour fishing expedition before the approximate 45-minute return to the pier.

The type of fish available in the waters during our time – Dorado, Black Marlin, Blue Marlin, Rooster Fish, Sail Fish, Tuna, Wahoo!

The release of all billfish caught is mandatory. (Disappointing considering if I do catch a damn big fish, I want to take that sucker home with me! WAAA!) Cost of required Mexican fishing license ($8.00 US) is included; however, a customary tip of $5 - $10 per person is not included in the tour cost. Price per Person: $169.00 (Ages 12 and above) Departure Time: 8:45 a.m.

This is what Disney is offering for a Sport fishing Experience! Upon further research, a damn good deal! Because it’s Disney’s responsibility to get you back! LOL I would not want to venture out that far from the ship without this guarantee!

Check it out for yourselves! http://www.FishCaboSanLucas.com Happy Fishing!

Don’t forget about the West-East Chat, this Saturday, April 23 at 9:00 Eastern! Hope to see all of you there!

I FINALLY got caught up! I am cut and pasting all the info everyone's written so far to "introduce" themselves, and will be reading it when DH + I travel to Annapolis to visit my sister and nephew. :flower:

Sorry this is much behind everyone elses... but her you go:

We are from central Jersey. Joe and I have been married for 9 years. We're celebrating with this "once in a lifetime" cruise in anticipation of our 10th anniversary. We are both computer programmer-analysts. (Joe's made the jump to Project Manager, I've made the jump too, in work responsibilities, but not in title ;)) We met on the job. Everyone else knew we would eventually get together, except us! :rotfl: I look back and am continually amazed at this absolutely perfect partnership. I keep telling Joe that God was moving me all over the place until Joe was ready to settle down! :goodvibes With a six year age difference, I've been teased about robbing the cradle!

Before we met, I spent all my free time preparing for mini concerts at various local churches, and leading worship services. I would like to get back into that... need to make the time!

We both love traveling to WDW and are DVC owners. Antiquing is a fun hobby... ruby souvenier glass and coca-cola things! Our home is overflowing with them. I always dreamed of being a stay at home mom, and doing all sorts of nice creative things... so far this is not to be. Three years into our marriage I was unexpectedly diagnosed with bilateral breast cancer. Joe was a trooper, and right by my side all the way. Right now, it's been 5 years and I'm cancer free and off all medications YIPEE!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: (Boy were they a roller coaster ride. The only thing which has suffered with the meds as been my weight and my hair thinning. But, this is a small price to pay.) God's love and the prayer support of friends during that time were amazing! LIFE IS PRECIOUS! :Pinkbounc

Oh yes... my "firstborn" was a wonderful puppy from a local SPCA... Mopsey. She was really my child. We lost her to failing kidneys the year we got married. Believe it or not... still miss her smile and energy! I LOVE reading about all of your 4-legged bundles of JOY!

Hey Guys! I am so glad I jumped it. :grouphug: you've all made me feel so welcomed! We can't wait to meet all of you! :wave2:

Okay... now I've got to finish those luggage tags!

Georgie :earsgirl: Joe too! :earsboy:

Look at the damage to this ship when the wind pushed it into the dock while docking in Costa Maya.

:cool1:  :cool1:  :cool1:

Oouch! That will take more than a bandaid and some Krazy Glue. And I just watching a documentary about the 1991 event when a Greek cruise ship OCEANOS sank in heavy seas off the coast of South Africa after a machinery explosion tore a hole in her side during the cruise. Everyone was rescued, but the officers and crew offered little assistance and actually abandoned ship before the passengers.

I'm think I'm just gonna go over in the corner and think happy thoughts!
