Got a bit excited there for a minute... the dogs started barking like crazy and I went to the door to find a box..... but not the right box. :sad2:

It was my new wetsuit.... okay I NEED HELP
How do you put this thing on... dry right? HOW?? this is impossible! For me to get into this thing I need it to be about 6 sizes bigger!!! I am gonna look like Barney in this thing! Anyone skinny need a (supposedly) size 12 full wetsuit? This looks more like a size 6-8 to me... although the tag says 12! Now I'm gonna freeze on the snorkel adventure. :cold:

Try putting baby powder on the inside to help "slide" you on in. Should help.

Speaking of spinning..........................my head is doing that..........I'm going in 20 different directions.

Just got back from Jamie's (DD 13) school. They had spirit assembly to announce new student body officers and cheerleaders for next year.

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Guess I am in the cheerleading mode now too. Jamie won. One of three girls from the seventh grade that made the squad. They had over 75 seventh graders try out, then some got disqualified and then they narrowed down to 12 and then today they announced the winners. Guess I better get out that Disney VISA card. This oughta set me back AGAIN!!!!!

Leslie

I just want to make it perfectly clear that I did not post that - Shari was signed in under my ID.

I would have told you to get the suit wet first and then try to get it on. ;)

on our family...

Looking forward to meeting some of you, but please remember, we are English and thus, we are socially retarted, terribly stiff and awfully uptight :smooth:

Hello UKIan! Welcome !! I love the UK- my parents lived in Harlow (40 min. outside London) for the past two years- they just moved back to the US this past December.

I think nobody will agree with you that the English are stiff or uptight....just think of us as the bad- siblings- the ones that ran away from home. I always wondered how they taught our history- on your end of the pond.

anyways welcome- come to high tea with the group and you can give us a lesson...

See you soon!
Cheers!

Leslie: When I purchase those types of garments, I ALWAYS get larger sizes, just for that reason.

I was wondering if there were any cruisers from San Diego out there? If so, how are you getting back to San Diego after we dock on the 28th? Thanks for any help-
Colleen

DH, DS, and I are going to hit the Kona Cafe for breakfast before we go to MK on Friday, May 13....HEY Friday the 13th- I usually have the BEST days on those days. Also DS will be doing the Grand Adventures in cooking class at the Floridian that day.

Anyone else AP holders? I can't decide if I want to renew for next year? With DS entering first grade- I don't know if we can go down as much.

Anyone else doing the marathon in January? I am training to do the half-marathon....something I have never done before. I'm not the runner type....but I've always wanted to do it.

Anyone ever tried the Relief Bands for motion sickness....not that I think the seas will be bad in May.

We are going to Kona Cafe the morning of the cruise. We've never been but I've heard good things about it. The Polynesian is our favorite hotel we've never stayed at!

We have been AP holders since January. We spent 10 days or so there during the marathon. After being stuck on the bus in traffic for an hour because of it, we got off at Magic Kingdom more exhausted than had we run it ourselves! :rotfl2:

We got the AP because we knew we would be going enough to use it. We used it in January, are going for three days before the cruise, and plan to go back in January the week before we went last year. The AP rates on rooms were a big help in enabling us to go back. If we intend to keep doing this, we will only have to buy it every other year.

I've never used the bands but I am really prone to motion sickness. I used the patches for each of our three previous cruises. They really helped but gave me the worst case of dry mouth the days I applied them. I didn't get drowsy unless I laid down and then I was out! I am going to be using my new friend Dramamine (less-drowsy formula) which now lets me ride Mad Tea Party, Mission:Space, and all other rides that used to make me sick. I'm hoping I do well with it on the cruise as it hasn't had any side-effects for me.

Hi Colleen

Welcome aboard! I just sent you a PM (personal message). I think Tink33 is from the San Diego area.

I haven't stayed there either- I have eaten at Ohana's for dinner...yummy...

With the new ticket system- unless I am going to go more than 10 days- it's
cheaper than the AP. You know you get a discount if you don't let it lapse.
yes- the room rates are AWESOME. We have paid as little as 35 per night to stay on site at Pop Century for a quicky stay- I liked that hotel better than I thought I would....but AKL is my favorite.

Less Drowsy dramamine still puts me to sleep.... I never got motion sick until I was pregnant- Mission Space was awesome but put me into the cold sweats and I felt like my head was "shaken- not stirred". My husbands company makes the relief bands- we can get one for free- but we have to buy the other one...$74.00. We've cruised in May before and the seas were calm...so I don't know.

Here is there official link. Ken, as you were in the coast guard- why did they call the US cost guard- when they are in Costa Maya??

I would assume that they called in the U.S. Coast Guard to help with the investigation because they home port (even though they are not a US flagged ship) in the US and travel through US waters.

I've seen the Magic dock in cross winds a lot higher then 15mph and not hit the pier at Castaway Cay.
