Just got off the phone with the dentist. Of course, had to crack a tooth right before the cruise, but he said no root canal...yet. (Just take heavy drugs on the cruise, right?) Ya'll send me good vibes to get thru and enjoy that yummy food.

Off to phone Debbie!

Good Afernoon All!!

What a chatty bunch the last few days! On my two previous DCL cruises I can honestly admit that I have NEVER set foot in the fitness area. I think that I may be allergic to exercise equipment :rotfl: . Mechelle, however, is trying to plan out her exercise routine for the cruise and has some questions. Does anyone remember if the fitness area has stretch bands or fitness balls? Do they charge for the classes? Do they offer Yoga or spinning classes? (note: I have no idea what a spinning class is :confused3 ) .

Liz
a.k.a. Dirty Ethel Vane
Hi Liz - yes, the fitness center does have the fitness balls, and I would venture a guess that they would also have the stretch bands, but those are super easy to bring with if Mechelle is worried about that item. The classes are free, you just need to be old enough to enter the spa/fitness area (over 18). Not sure if they have spinning classes, but I doubt it. Yes, there are yoga classes.

Just FYI, the yoga classes fill early there will be a sign up sheet in the front of the spa, sign up early!!!

 Oh bummer! Hope it doesn't give you too much trouble! Why wouldn't he fix it for you before the cruise? Sorry, never had a cracked tooth, so I'm curious... And here's a :mickeybar for the pain.

Ah, much better, thanks!...he is sealing it, but can't promise no pain. I told him that it's VERY important to be able to eat on the ship...after all...look at those special lunches and dinners!

Got a bit excited there for a minute... the dogs started barking like crazy and I went to the door to find a box..... but not the right box. :sad2:

It was my new wetsuit.... okay I NEED HELP
How do you put this thing on... dry right? HOW?? this is impossible! For me to get into this thing I need it to be about 6 sizes bigger!!! I am gonna look like Barney in this thing! Anyone skinny need a (supposedly) size 12 full wetsuit? This looks more like a size 6-8 to me... although the tag says 12! Now I'm gonna freeze on the snorkel adventure. :cold:

Oh no! Let's hope it's not a Texas thang! Ok, everyone one will be safe and well, everyone will be safe and well. (Hmmm...it's worth a try!) Good luck at the dentist.

Ocean County? Where, We live in Toms River

We both used to live in Toms River too! We both lived in the east dover section off off of Fisher and Bay. I only lived in TR 7 months before I moved to AZ....before that I lived most of my life in Seaside Heights. I graduated freom Central Regional and DH graduated from TR East :)

I bought some new stuff for the cruise (my best friend is visiting and is a VERY bad influence). bought a beautiful shawl for all my dresses. bought some new wedges in a beautiful brown leather. some jewerly and I sucked it up and bought some clinque makeup (it's bonus time and the bonus is a great makeup bag with little freebies).
I was good and did not buy anything at tiffany or coach like taryn (the evil influence) did!

Ohhhhh this is for you then...

You've been seriously injured at Action Park.

You know that the only people who call it "Joisey" are from New York (usually The Bronx) or Texas.

You don't think of citrus when people mention "The Oranges."

You know that it's called "Great Adventure," not "Six Flags."

You've ordered a hard roll with butter for breakfast.

You've known the way to Seaside Heights since you were seven.

You've eaten at a diner, when you were stoned or drunk, at 3 am.

Whenever you park, there's a Camaro within three spots of you.

You remember that the "Two Guys" were from Harrison.

You know that the state isn't one big oil refinery.

At least three people in your family still love Bruce Springsteen, and you know what town Jon Bon Jovi is from.

You know what a "jug handle" is.

You know that a WaWa is a convenience store.

You know that the state isn't all farmland.

You know that there are no "beaches" in new Jersey - there's "The Shore," and you know that the road to the shore is "The Parkway" not "The Garden State Highway."

You know that "Piney" isn't referring to a tree.

Even your school cafeteria made good Italian subs, and, you call it a "sub" not a "submarine sandwich" or worse yet, a "hoagy" or a "hero."

You remember the song from the Palisades Park commercials.

You know how to properly negotiate a Circle.

You knew that the last question had to do with driving.

You know that "Acme" is an actual store, not just a Warner Bros creation.

You know that this is the only "New..." state that doesn't require "New" to identify it (like, try ...Mexico, ...York, ...Hampshire (doesn't work, does it?).

You know how to translate this conversation: "Jeet yet?" "No, Jew?"

You only go to New York City for day trips, and you only call it "The City."

You know that a "White Castle" is the name of BOTH a fast food chain AND a fast food sandwich.

You consider a corned beef sandwich with lettuce and mayo a sacrilege.

In the 80's you wore your hair REALLY high.

You don't think "What exit" (do you live near?) is very funny.

You know that the real first "strip shopping center" in the country is Route 22.

You know that no respectable New Jerseyan goes to Princeton - that's for out-of-staters.

The Jets-Giants game has started fights at your school or local bar.

You live within 20 minutes of at least three different malls.

You can see the Manhattan skyline from some part of your town.

You've gotten on the wrong highway trying to get out of Willowbrook Mall.

You've eaten a Boardwalk cheesesteak with vinegar fries.

You have a favorite Atlantic City casino.

You live within 20 minutes of at least three different malls.

You refer to all highways and interstates by their numbers.

Every year you have at least one kid in your class named Tony.

You know the location of every clip shown in the Sopranos opening credits.

You know that people from North Jersey go to Seaside Heights, and people from Central Jersey go to Belmar and people from South Jersey go to Wildwood.

You weren't raised in New Jersey -- you were raised in either North Jersey, Central Jersey or South Jersey.

You don't consider Newark or Camden to actually be part of the state.

You remember the stores Korvette's, Two Guys, Rickel's, Channel, Bamberger's and Orbach's.

You also remember Palisades Amusement Park.

You start planning for Memorial Day weekend in February.

You've never pumped your own gas.

You actually get these jokes and pass them on to other friends from New Jersey.

I was thinking about breakfast there also.

WHAT MORNING ARE WE TALKING ABOUT - FRIDAY OR SATURDAY EARLY??

Seems like quite a few of us are having teeth problems before the cruise. Just have to fix before we leave.

Not a nice thing to go through.
