OK.....Slooowwww deep breath....my suitcase is TOO BIG!!!!!!!

I've been so worried about the weight that it never occurred to me to check the dimensions. Well, the big bag is 65" before I open the expandable portion. Delta's limit is 62" and they charge $80.00 per flight for bags 63"-80". I refuse to pay $160.00 for an extra 3" so I guess it's luggage shopping for me when I get off work in the AM! So much for packing today...

We finaly got our cruise docs yesterday!!!
Now for a serious question....our airfare is through disney and they have us arriving in orlando at 1:00pm on the 14th. Do you think we will have a problem getting to the boat with disney transportation on time???? Makes me nervous.

No worries, DCL will wait. In December, they were casting the ropes for us to sail off when four DCL buses pulled up and off-loaded a bunch more passengers and luggage. We didn't sail until they were on board!

I wonder if the airline industry and the luggage manufacture are in cahoots. Weight limit of 50lbs and then they still make oversized bags and sell them for a good price. Gotta stay on top of the whole situation.

I'm telling ya...Eddie Bauer bag, max size allowed by airlines, only 8lbs, can be purchased at Target. I did a test pack and came out at 45 pounds fully packed.

And yes, it is a total racket. But I guess all those workers comp claims were adding to the bottom line.

Hello Fellow Disney Magic Cruisers for the May 14th Panama Canal Cruise...

I'll be on my first Disney Cruise with 50 members of the OUAC (Once Upon A Classic) Collector's Club from Southern CA.

Our club had a Bon Voyage Party with a pirate theme last weekend at the Disneyland Hotel. We picked up our final documents and personalized clothing so look for us on the ship...dark blue shirts with OUAC Sea to Sea logo. We are excited!

I've been checking out your posts for a few weeks and am amazed at your enthusiasm and organization. What a group!

I've been married for 45 years, have five children, and 21 grandchildren. We are a BIG family of Disney fans. I'm the only one in my family going on this cruise, and only wish I could bring all of my grandchildren with me.

I'm hoping to meet some of you on the cruise.

This is my first post so I hope I did it correctly.

As Leslie said the 40th Time Castle or the dedication Plaque?

The dedication plaques are pretty neat, Walt's words during opening day, July 17, 1955. They are worth seeking out. Let's see Art Linkletter, Ronald Regan, Frank Sanatra, and Sammy Davis Jr. and others were present on that opening day. My first visit as a kid was in Aug of 1955.
