Finally got through it all! I was on Spring Break for 4 days -- got back last night.

Congrats to all the new cabin assignments.

And, who was looking for kids on the cruise?? Someone new with a few girls. My DD is 6 and I also have DS9 with us.

My DD was snorkeling in the pool this week! I am so excited. She liked it and was pretty good. Now, if her skin holds out... She has really bad excema and the salt water was a killer the last time we cruised. Now, that is just another reason to go with DCL -- fresh water pools!

And, can someone post that link for the other schooner-type excursion in Curacau? I can't remember who posted it, but I'm thinking of signing up!

Here is the website for the scuba trip on Curacao.

http://www.bountyadventures.com/

I also bought DD (4) some snorkeling gear last week and we have been practicing in the bathtub. Next step...swimming pool!

"Do you know how that's going to work when Disney starts allowing you to book your spa/Palo reservations online? I spoke to Debbie yesterday and she said that'g going to be the case in the beginning of May. "

Can anyone else verify that this is true? If it is, do you think it will be ready for us to use before our trip?

I hope it's true! That would be so cool. It would save us all a lot of stress after we embark!

Right! We could skip the Palo and Spa lines and go straight to the Pin Line...:rotfl:

New T-Shirt Idea --- "I went on DCL and All I got to do was Stand in Line for this shirt"

Just looked through our misc papers for this cruise and found a coupon good for Free Admission for two to the Curacao Sea Aquarium , Will mail it to who ever wants it.

Interesting note; in Papiamentu (the native language of Curacao) sushi means garbage, note to self don’t order Japanese in Curacao.

Scott. . . . I am thinking of going to the Sea Aquarium. How did you get the free admission? I did request a brochure (two times, I think?) but nothing has come in the mail.

PM me if you still have the coupons. I'd be interested.

Thanks.
Sandra

Yumm a big plate of fresh garbage. What do you get to drink with that?

Did you guys book the Bounty Adventure on line?
Yes, we booked on-line. Then Captain Perry emailed me back confirming our reservation.

We were going to do the Sea Aquarium...but thought this sounded like more fun for the whole family!

A mug of real green swill. I personally would stick with the Curacao Liquor's.

Water in Curacao is great, all tap water is from a humungus de-sal plant. Best water in the islands.

Bounty Trip looks like fun, we will stick with the scuba diving. Might see ya at the Tugboat as that is where it sounds like the scuba diving excursion ends up at.

Holy cow, I would just be on :cloud9: if we could prebook Palo and the Spa online before we cruise! That would free up much time for :mickeybar at scoops and, more imporatantly (Leslie...) time for that extra :drinking1 at the sailaway...Sure hope this is more than just a rumor!

Oh, I wish, I wish, I wish, I wish, I wish, I wish! :wizard:

BTW, Leslie, congrats on hitting 500 posts! I have aspirations of attaining such a lofty goal puckerup:

Thanks for sharing your note! I too wrote my 2 cents of suggestions. I wonder if after hearing from all of us, they will still look forward to sailing with us! :rotfl2: We can be quite a vocal group!

What a blast we are going to have on the Bounty Adventure!! :cool1: :cool1:

The Disboard will take over the ship!! ARRRRRRRRR! pirate:

Does anyone know it you can just go and swim (since we've never snorkled before)? This sounds like fun! We are currently signed up for the Outback Adventure, but DH just loves the water! :flower:

Thanks!

I'm sure you can go and just enjoy the boat and get in the water. Snorkeling is just an added bonus. And, even if you haven't snorkeled, you can put on a vest (always easier) and jump in and still see fish and reef. I haven't been on this particular excursion, but I"m sure it will be like that.

For me, I love being in the movement of the boat. I always snokel with a life vest on -- makes it so much easier to concentrate on the fish, not on floating! Snorkeling is really very easy; you'll catch on in a hurry. Then, you'll be hooked like the rest of us!

I completely agree!! It is really easy to pick up.

I had never snorkled before DH & I took DD to Hawaii when she was 4 months old. DH went snorkeling everyday and said how wonderful it was and I finally got up the nerve to try it on our last day there. Boy did I miss out! I am a strong swimmer, but just thought the whole breathing thing would be weird. Now, everywhere we go I am the one rushing to go snorkeling!! :Pinkbounc
