Boy you guys have been busy chatting today! How exciting everyone is sharing plans!

I'm one of the Friday the 13th flyers, am extending my stay on the California end of the trip. Arriving around 11:30 at MCO on Jet Blue, and still am undecided about the rental car or taking a limo. Someone mentioned something about getting the shuttle at the rental car place, and I have a concern about that also. Anywho...off to Ron Jon's we go! :moped:

Taking the DCL transportation from the port to the Disneyland Hotel, and staying there for 2 nights. I made reservations today for our character breakfast at Goofy's kitchen :earboy2: Will be staying the rest of the week with friends either in the Palisades, Oahi, or Ventura.

This is going to be the best trip ever! :wizard:

Robin (aka Brunhilda Pink Toe pirate: )

I just printed out one of the door magnets on the magnet paper (I can't believe how thick this stuff is!) and it turned out sooooo GREAT! I had only printed it on regular paper.

Yippee!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

I am very excited about this!!! (I know hard to tell, huh?)!

Just had to share! :goodvibes :goodvibes

Yea that sounds good!
Actually, I do like benigets.
And Paczkis.
And Baklava.
And even Krispy Kremes!

All that good stuff that's not good for you. :smooth:
:sad2: Sadly, one can no longer find Beaver tails at WDW...it's one of life's true tragedies according to my DH.

We Will Be There.... on Thursday night.. watching the Show...
and either before or after at the Flying fish for Dinner :smooth:
Ah...the Flying Fish. If we don't eat in Japan, we may go over to Kimono's for some of the best sushi I have ever eaten. Definintely one of our favorites on WDW property.

What no Beaver Tails!!!!! I thought they were there last fall during F&W fest.

Oh...maybe they are there for the F&W Fest. They aren't there for everyday consumption in Canada though. And we have yet to make it down to WDW for the F&W Fest. Hm....sounds like motiviation for DH!

I'm so happy all of you are flying out on my birthday! You can be thinking of me working away while you are in the air!

I would have taken a couple of extra days off too, but I think I just about freaked out my boss with the 11 days, so we can't fly out until Friday, the 13th. Hope it's lucky!

Linda

Linda,

We will be in the air on the 13th also, Manchester NH to Orlando @ 7:30 am.
Then on our way to the port, fanily will come up from Miami for the day/evening.

Bye, Kim

I think there were two different web sites to get pirates names. Does anyone remember the name of the site that's not on the daily update? Thanks.

Be at the Living Seas Observation area on 5/12 at 5:30 PM, and see Ken, Shari, Lynn, and Scott defy years of evolution as they breathe underwater with the assistance of Msr. Cousteau’s Aqualung invention. We will wave to you.

Any one else interested??

We are flying in on Thursday May 12. The plane lands a little after 11 am and then drop the bags and my dad off at the Dolphin and head straight for Epcot. Hopefully Off Kilter's schedule will be similar to what it is now and the first show is at 2:30 pm. I am not holding much hope to that. Because of the concerts at America Gardens they start earlier and end early.

I also want to see if I can get on Soarin' at Epcot. Having read some of the first hand accounts, I think I can handle it.

After the shows, mom and I will check on Dad (who will not have a park ticket) for dinner, then maybe return later.

So if anyone is at Epcot on May 12, you will find me at the Off Kilter stage.... generally stage left...in front of Randy, the guitarist. :wave2:

I think I will be the last WestCoaster to arrive in Orlando. I am taking the red-eye on Friday the 13th and land at MCO around 6 am on the 14th. The last time I went to Orlando I took the red-eye and was asleep before the plane left the gate and woke up about 10 minutes before we landed. Coast to coast in 10 minutes waking time - I loved it.

Hi all,

I am going to be going down on the 8th to WDW with a friend staying at BWV (love DVC!!!!). Then on the 13th, my friend heads home and the other 7 members of my cruising party will arrive at MCO throughout the day from Houston & Waco and we will stay at the MCO Hyatt.

We are taking a car service...(I am thinking about the Hummer Limo) to the port.

Then in LA, I will have my company car service take us all home. Then 6 of us are back to DL on Monday May 30-June 1.

Whew, now I dont even want to see what my desk looks like when I get back. Count me in for one of those spending some late nights in the Internet Cafe after all the kiddos are sleeping...that is what I usually do at WDW and it works out fine and doesnt take away from my time with them. I run the production side of the compnany have to approve all bids and such, so I have to stay connected if there are projects in development.

Here is a question: I know that the computers cant send files, but is there a business center or something if I have to send a file out of a computer? Is the only alternative the dialup? I just want to be prepared, if that is possible...

I am so excited. I spent some time on our sailaway gift today...so much fun. I still havent made peace with how to distribute and meet so many people, but I am having a darn good time getting it together.

You guys are great and I cant wait to meet you....

Oh Q - we like the Pirate one and thank you so much!!! They look great!! You did an outstanding job. Little Beaux (aka Frances Cookie Pants looks forward to meeting your Doris the Pink!!!)

Thats all for now guys....I am sure the more excited I get the more I will ramble....shutting up now.....bye!!

If anyone gets motion sickness, it would be me. When I was a kid I got sick on the ferris wheel! Talk about pathetic!

Anyway.........been on Soarin' Over California at CA numerous times. Love it! It's one of our favorite things to do. There is one part that bothers me just a little, but I just focus on one part of the screen, close my eyes for one sec and take deep breaths of the fresh air hitting my face and then I'm fine. If no one is going with you, (or even if they are) get in the single rider line and you'll be on in less than 5 minutes. We usually get fast passes and then run back around and get new ones and then do the single rider line a couple of times!

That's O.K. I didn't know either. Did a little check on the boards here and got this--
In the front of the Canada pavilion is a little shack that sells one of the most delicious snacks in Epcot, Beavertails. Beavertails are whole wheat pastries deep fried and covered with delicious flavorings like Chocolate & Maple, Cinnamon Sugar, Apples & Cinnamon, Strawberries & Cream and Killaloe Sugar. The trading post houses the "Northwest Mercantile" shop. Here you'll find Roots clothing, lumberjack shirts, maple syrup, soapstone carvings, Off Kilter CDs and Indian moccasins

Beavertails are no longer sold at Disneyworld. They used to be great, and then the health kick appeared and they were baked and not fried and sales went through the floor. The shack was converted and occasionally sells other food, but beavertails no longer exist.

The Beaver Tails sound like something I would enjoy. Sugared fried dough.
One of the things I look forward to at fair time is Elephant Ears. They sound very similar to Beaver Tails.
