2005 WDW Marathon

Just curious. Does anyone know how quickly next years marathon is likely to fill? I'm actually interested in doing the 1/2 again (maybe) with my dad. He hasn't decided if he can do it yet, so I'm trying to figure out how long we have until he has to make a final decision.

My DW(TammyNC) is doing half marathon next yr with fellow WISHers and she said that it filled up in 6 days once tickets went on sale for 04 just recently completed. Hope it works out for yall.

Registration is open for the 2005 Walt Disney World Full and Half Marathons. which wilI take place on

Jan. 9.2005. More than 23.000 runners participated this past weekend in the resort's 11th annual races.

Race Registration is $95.00 and includes:

It generally fills up pretty quickly. I think the sign ups started about a week ago.

I hope some folks who know answer this. I am trying to decide between full and half and would like to know how much time I have to decide. When I called disney they said it filled in 3 months. Here folks say 2 weeks.
Plus, their on=line registration wasn't working and my printer was acting up. So I called and had a form sent to me, and I haven't gotten it yet, no mail tomorrow. I can't wait for this.

The sign up for the 2005 Marathon started the day after the 2004.

Last year the half filled in about three months, and the full filled in about five.

This marathon is becoming more and more popular by the year, and each has filled a few weeks earlier respectively each year.

I was hoping some of this year's participants from the boards would have posted. Guess not. I've heard both that it filled up in 3 months and 1 week. Wondering which is right.

I can tell you that last year I registered March 5th and got into the half marathon for this year. I didn't remember, though, when sign up actually started for it.

Last year sign up started on march 1st for the 2004 marathon.

This year signup started on January 12 for the 2005 marathon.

My husband has run the past three, and is registered for 2005 already.
