2005 school vacations

Our school board just released the calendar for next year 2004-2005. It looks like Easter is early next year so we get a mini vacation at the end of March and a full week at the end of April for spring break. So now we're thinking of going back to WDW the last week of April 2005.

Do you know if your school will be off that week?

Our Easter/Spring break is March 21 through 25.

Most of Lake County Il is taking 3/25 - 4/3. We always have the last week in March, Easter just happens to be 3/27 next year. Also happens to be twin dds 11th b-day. No trip next year to WDW for Spring Break - too crowded!

We're off the 3rd week in April as well....always...but that doesnt mean all of Vermont is...

Our school district is changing their calendar next year - much to my dismay.

We will now have a week off for "President's Week". We'll then have Good Friday off & the entire following week.

We normally have 2 full weeks at Easter and we have taken advantage of this the past 2 years. Looks like my kids might miss a few days of school over the Easter holiday from now on because I don't know if I'll be able to give up my extended WDW, relaxing, enjoyable vacation!!!

How selfish am I!!!

You've all gotten me very psyched that most kids will be in school that week. I've spoken to friends in other districts and they also are in school the week of April 25-29th. This is looking more and more like it will happen for us, woohoo!!!!

Just got our calendar this week. Looks like SW FL is off March March 25th until April 3rd.
It's the first time we are off this late. Almost two weeks earlier then this year.

yup here in ohio ours is march 25th thru apr 3.....they have cut our christmas break wayyyy down...i am not happy about that..

I have a question...How do you all know when school breaks are for next year already??? I don't find out our school schedule untill the school calendar is mailed to us just before the new school years starts in August. Do you all work in your school districts or something???

This my neighbor who is on the District PTO gave me the calendar. Last year I called the school administration directly & asked about it so I could make our vacation plans.

Ours is posted on the districts web site. I bet yours is ready also, check with the principal.

Our district has off March 21 - 25, 2005.


momtoce&j: my district also has the 2004 - 2005 basic schedule on the districts website, they also send home a copy of it as they hope that families will use it while scheduling vacations. They developed a very strict attendence policy last year.

If you call your districts administrations office, they will most likely mail you a copy. Our schools finalized the 2004-05 calendars by February.

My son is in the Great Neck, Long Island school district and he too will be off that same last week in April. Is this a Long Island thing or what? We are also planning to do 5 nights WDW and 4 nights Universal that same week. Hope the rest of the country is in school!!!

I checked our town website, clicked on the school link, and got the different addresses for the HS and elementary schools. Figures we don't have a more together website.

I'll call the school tomorrow. Hopefully the secretaries can tell me about next years calendar.

LOL...looks like WDW will be crawling with Long Islanders that week. Now is that a good thing or a bad thing?
