Yep...I have two more kids to go to perfect the art!!:smooth:

And thanks, by the way, for the cool animatronic deer.....
that was a highlight of our trip!::yes::

We've been keeping track of the storm all evening. All of you in the path of the storms are in my thoughts tonight. For those of you who live there I hope you did not have any damage. For Diana and anyone else traveling - safe travels home.

Good evening every one!

I hope all is a little quieter in Orlando by now. Everything okay, Diana?

Pretty quiet here. Megan took Jordan and her friend Lexi (who is quickly becoming our third daughter this summer) to see Princess Diaries 2, Jared and I went to dinner and ran into a good friend of mine, and we talked for two hours. Catching up after a long summer.
Jay went to the cabin. There are storms predicted for the weekend, and he loves being up there when it's raining.

Our softball games were supposed to start tonight with a practice game, but the other team cancelled. Good thing, it's too doggone hot to play yet.

We did get some rain, but it didn't last very long. Better than nothing, though!

I'm going to go read myself to sleep, a luxury I don't get to do very often, as the light bothers Jay. Hope everyone has a great day tomorrow!

GOOD SATURDAY MORNING TO ALL OF THE HOLIDAY CRUISERS!!

Good night,
Stacey

Good Morning.....

Another fine day - Had to come in early for dayshift - as one of my docs probably has viral meningitis - he's OK - but it really messed up the schedule......

I was in chat for a bit last night - chatted with David (DJS113) - didn't see anybody else from the cruise.....

Hope that everybody is safe....

Be back later!

Never made it into chat last night. Spent the evening in the family room watching the opening ceremonies of the Olympics on the tv while Mark was using the computer down there to track the storm. Looking at the news this morning it looks terrible down there. Conitnued prayers going out to all touched by the storm.

Hope all our cruisers are ok!

Good Morning everyone.

We had computer problems these past few days. I finally got on.

Prayers and pixie dust to all who are in the tract of the storm.

Diana, I have been thinking of you and DD.

Talk to you all later. Gail

Sorry we could not make chat last night. We were a little busy with someone called Charley who decided to pay a visit last night. Being on the coast you never expect a hurricane to come from Orlando, but it did. We only had some minor damage, but still with out electricity. Using the lap top to check in. I have not talked to Dancind and DD yet as it is still pretty early for them and besides, what else is there for them to do except sleep in.

We will spend the day cleaning the yard. The family is very exicted about that. LOL.

Thank goodness I have my backpacking supplies for coffee this morning or it would be pretty ugly.

Scuba - thanks for checking in. Glad to hear that you and the family are ok. It looks pretty back on the west coast of Florida.

Glad that everybody is checking in and seems to be OK.....

Keep us all advised!

The Magic is just pulling in now and the reports are the airport is closed until noon. Going to be a crazy weekend for DCL cruisers!

Good morning, everyone. All is quiet here in Orlando. In fact, it was pretty quiet at 11 pm last night, about when we sent the storm on to Scuba Diver. I guess if you're going to be in a hurricane, BCV is the place to be, we hardly heard a thing. Really, the two kids next door were the noisiest part of the storm.

I haven't turned on the news yet to see the damage, someone here is still sleeping. Wonder who? There was a message from WDW on our phone, all the parks are open today except AK, but I think they said no busses? Will be interesting if we decide to go to MK. Hope the monorail is running.

Thanks for your thoughts! One good thing, we were thinking we would live in Kissimmee when we move here, which was one of the areas with manadatory evacuation last night due to flooding risk. We will look for higher ground, I think.

Anyone heard from Cindy?

Diana - thanks for checking in. Was worried about you. Haven't heard from Cindy or Leslie - keeping everyone there in our prayers.

Good Afternoon! Very late afternoon. Was busy this a.m. and took me forever to get Jared off the computer!

Glad to hear that you're okay, Diana & Scuba.
Calling Cindy & Leslie!!!!!

I did hear from a contact in Naples that all is reasonably well there....so that's good.

And the Lake Placid area is okay. Now to find out if the cousin in Punta Gorda is all right. Wow. What a mess.

We're expecting more rain, but it doesn't look like we'll have any flooding, other than just a bit in the streets. I doubt the creek will cause us any trouble.

Megan just got a username, and is awaiting a password, so from now on, I will have to behave myself.

I think I just heard a huge sigh of relief???

Anyway...I hope everyone is having a great weekend!

TTFN,
Stacey

Just had some disturbing news - we may be stuck in WDW! Seriously, Southwest has significant damage to their terminal here in Orlando, and they are not flying yet. I'm supposed to call back later tonight to find out the status. This trip is getting expensive, we already spent extra to stay at BCV for the duration of the storm rather than moving to AKL in the midst of it.

Lots of trees down around here. DTD is still closed, lots of broken glass we hear. Hope all is well with the FL residents.

Diana

D......when were you supposed to come home? I had just told someone that if I had to be stuck somewhere, I could think of worse places than WDW....but you're right, it is expensive...and if there's nothing to do......bummer. What are your plans?

Thanks for keeping in touch!

Stacey

That was supposed to be tongue in cheek, Stacey. I agree, there's many worse places to be stuck. Alicia is worried about missing the first day of school, but even more worried that I won't have time to style her hair properly for it.

We'll just see what Southwest tells us tonight. We may be looking for a room tomorrow. I know DVC Member Services is not open on Sunday, is CRO? Hoping we can get at least an annual pass discount for an extra night if we can't fly until Monday.
