What time do the Illuminations dessert parties happen? Illuminations is at 9..so around that time for the purrrr-tay? am I right? If it is.. either the 16th or the 17th will do(DS bedtime is going to be early on his b-day.. I WILL EXHAUST HIM.. moowhahaha j/k).

It is up to the party. Most of the dessert party's are an hour long and the one that helped with started at 8.

I still haven't been contacted by the guys at Catering. I am going to call them again later this AM to see what's up with these dates. Will post to let you know.

I think you get 90 minutes of time on the terrace so Robert Walker's start time of 8pm sounds right, but let me double check my info.

I'll post later this AM when I get a hold of a real person - I hope - at Disney Catering.

I will be in EPCOT on 11/17/03. What exactly is the Illuminations desert? Is there a special place to view illuminations. 8pm is the time we have set for Biergarten that night......hmm, not sure.

The illuminations dessert party is a special location for our group to meet and greet before and after Illuminations. The last time there was plenty of desserts and drinks for everybody and people walked away at the end with some stuff. The party will be at the UK lower terrace and is a great location to watch the show. This location is also right next to where the boats tie up. The party will begin at 8:30 and will be an hour long.

Who do I call about this?? When is payment due?? Can you just walk on the same day and pay??? Is there a site deicated to this?

Jasminesmommy - it doesn't appear that you are going in November. If you are wanting to do this on your own, you have to get a contract thru Disney Catering and pick a date. You have to have a minimum of 20 people. There is no website - you have to call the Catering people.

Hi Zulaya--looks like we are now a total of six for Illuminations Dessert Party--5 adults and one 3 1/2-year-old (very good around adults). Is price same for kids?

barbeml - I *think* the price is the same for kids as adults. Robert Walker has the contract so I am not exactly sure. I have PM'd him to get that info and will get it to you as soon as possible.

Hi all--

Just thought I'd post this up to the top. I haven't heard from Robert Walker. I have no way of contacting him except via PM, which I have done several times with no response, which is odd, because before he was very prompt on replying.

At this point, I don't know what to say if this event will go on or not. I believe we would have the 20 people necessary, but without knowing the details of what the next step is, I just don't know.

I just wanted to let everyone know. I think the dates to get Illuminations Cruises for this timeframe are either coming up or have past so I just wanted to offer that if you want to make other plans for something like that, I completely understand.

I will post again as soon as I get in touch with Robert Walker if he doesn't post here first himself.

So if he doesn't reply can someone else plan this? I would certainly be willing to help organize one....but I would not want to steal anyone's thunder. I hope we can do this regardless because I think it is a great idea!!!
