2003 WDW Mousefest & DIS Meets information including links to sign up threads.

I'm bumping this up because it's looking more and more like I'll be able to do this :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

We got a great overflow rate from SOG for the Poly, checking in 12/3 and checking out 12/8. I'll be sharing a room with Holly and her family to help cut down on costs and her DH Tim (bless his heart) will be getting us the cheapo military tickets.

So I still need to convince DH that I MUST GO TO WDW, but that may be an easier task soon.

Linda

Linda, it will be great to see you and Holly again! :)

I bought my MVMCP tickets for Thursday, Dec. 4th. :teeth:

I've added the rest of your DIS names to the December list.

And I added the 2003 dates that each of the resorts that are going to be decorated in November. Dreams Unlimited gave me these dates.

I can't wait to see who wil be te narrators for the Epcot Candlelight Processional.

And I am so sad that MGM has pretty much decided not to set up the Osborne Family Spectacle of Lights this year, since there is news that they are already ripping up the backlot street to built a future attraction. Rumors say they may set the lights up along that New York Street area at MGM.

I haven't bought my MVMCP or CP tickets yet. I'm sorta waiting to see what PassPorter and AllEars and others are planning for Mousefest.

I sure do miss my friends who helped plan so many DISmeets the last two years. I miss that giggling cheerleader, Tia. And that great coordinator and water splasher wet shoulder crier, Barb-for-Real. And the person that got me on the MK Dumbo ride for the very first time and special, spectacular, kid smiling Dumbo hat, Dayna, DumboOrBust. And Patrick and Steve. I can't even remember their DIS names anymore. I can't even remember that sweet young angelic singer from Norway or was it Sweden. I just can't remember.

I do know that I miss them so much.

They would have planned and hosted and organized so any DIS meets by now.

Tia with her Magic Kingdom Fantasyland Decorative Hat DIS meet, and her Big Dog Laughfest(she called it something else, but I can't mention it here.)

Dayna, DumboOrBust with her MK Dumbo Ride DIS meet and her most stunning Dumbo hat.

Barb-for-real with all her organizing the different DIS meets, a GF Tea and Spash Mountain DIS meet(where she splahed me and caused a 45-minute stop from getting her log stuck, and I can't remember the others. But I do remember my soaking wet shoulder from her crying during the Epcot Candlelight Processional.

AndSteve, disneycub, and his most excellent Candlelight Processional and dinner at Japan DIS meet.

And Patrick and the great Wilderness Lodge Whispering Cafe Dinner and Resort Holiday Tour, and Hoop-Dee-Doo Muscical Review DIS meets. And his outstanding list of DIS meets for DIS-Con.

I can't remember the others. I may be big as an elephant, but I sure don't have a good memory.

I really do miss all their planning and ideas, and organizing.

I wish that they would come back to the DIS. It would be a much more magical place for me. (sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh)/

Ray

Oh wow, Ray! I just came and looked at this thread again for updates since I did a little planning on this trip last night and WOW!!!! You are so organized... truly amazing. I too have my ticket to MVMCP for the 4th. That looked like the best date for me to go.

Your last post though made me smile and feel sad all at once. I lurk a lot and even though I didn't get in on those conversations on teh boards they were so much fun to read... I miss them too...

Here's a big {{hug}} for being the sweetie you are :)

Awwww, Ray.....{{{{{hugs}}}} Sandra with the angelic voice is from Belgium. :) Barb still posts on the DIS, but mostly on the DVC board, from what I can tell. I haven't seen hide nor hair of the others. I miss them, too.

Oh boy, Elaine...another one for MVMCP on the 4th! :teeth:

A lot of them are still on my "buddies" list. I saw disneycub online briefly yesterday. I've seen Barb and her DH twice this summer. Even though a lot of our friends are no longer posting on the DIS, I'm fairly certain that a few of them will be in WDW this December. I still don't know whether or not I'll be able to make the trip again this year. My DW Sue seems to think that it's a done deal. Perhaps she knows me better than I know myself.

Nancy, Dan told me he got a ticket for that night as well :teeth:

So John... what dates are you looking at to come ;)

/
Looks like myself, Holly and her family will be going to MVMCP on Dec. 4th as well. :bounce: :bounce:

Don't know about dates yet Elaine. I know that I have to be there from the 4th through the 8th in order to participate in MouseFest. One of my goals is to finally meet Deb Wills face to face. I was really close last year, but the weather scared her away from her own RADPmeet.

Are you looking to carpool to WDW???

Yay Linda! Hopefully we can all catch up there that night :)

John, I plan on making this my "big trip" to WDW so I think I will be there the 1st through the 7th... at least that is what my ressies at the Swan currently say. Otherwise I'd love to carpool... I did find decent air for about $225 r/t non-stop on Delta so I might jump on that sometime soon.

Elaine - both ATA and Southwest have non-stops from Indy for $131.50 in December! How inconvenient would that be for you?

Thanks for that FYI Nancy... unfortunately Indy is about 2.5 hours away for me so that would make it very inconvenient... plus their flight times available at those prices would cut my trip short by nearly 2 days. I am still watching and looking around a little. I admit Delta has great times for me to fly out so that Luis can drive me to and from the airport (save some $$ that way) w/o cutting into his work schedule or my WDW time much at all :)

Hi, everyone! Well, I may just have to go on Thursday, December 4th, 2003, too.

Passporter is planning a MGM Who Want's To Be A Millionare Passporter meet at around 2:00 P.M. They haven't officially listed it yet, since this may be the day that they get back from their Mousefest cruise.

Maybe, they will decide to all do MVMCP that night, too.

You can put my family for the December 4th MVMCP too, Ray. Ordered the tickets today. There will be my DW, DD and myself. See you all there! :teeth:

Not to beat a dead horse, but...you can even fly to Orlando from Indy on ATA the Sunday after Thanksgiving (Nov. 30th, 9:30 - 11:38 a.m.) and return on Dec. 7th (12:28 -2:50 p.m.) for $131.50. That might make the 2-1/2 hour drive worthwhile.

Well Ray, you are always welcome to join us for MVMCP if you like no matter what :) And it is nice to see that others will be around too!

Nancy, you are so sweet to look out for me (and always others when you do) like that :) Unfortunately the only time I could leave on Sunday makes the flight more expensive with ATA and nothing good on Southwest. My family will be in town that weekend and I don't want to leave until they do which is why I am cutting a day off my trip.... I really do appreciate it though. I am just fare watching right now and I also need to wait and see if there are frequent flyer miles to be used. I alos have two vouchers with Northwest I could use if their times are decent for me.

I ordered my ticket for the 12/4 MVMCP yesterday. I'm still not certain about my plans for December, but at least I have a ticket for that event just in case there that day. I also purchased an Annual Pass voucher from the local Disney Store. I guess my wife was right when she predicted a trip to Florida in December.

Elaine - I hope fares will drop between now and early December. I made my FF reservation on AA in April, but I'm leaving Thanksgiving Day and returning Dec. 8th. Good thing I did it then, as now there's practically nothing available using miles that day!

John - woohoo!!!! :teeth:

I'm not too worried about it yet, Nancy. I was budgeting for about $250-275 for my prime non-stop flights. They seem to be about the same as last year. Last year I used FF miles with NW and we had to use double to get me out on the Sunday after thanksgiving. I'd rather pay for air than do that again.

John, nice to see you are joining us :teeth:

Woohooo John !!!!! It'll be great to see ya kiddo !!!

Of course I'll probably see you in Sept., but seeing you in WDW again will be COOL !!!
