Just received info in the mail today from the Walt Disney Classics Collections Society Convention. It will be held at the Disneyland Hotel April 19-21, 2002. It will include "an exclusive & exciting backstage tour of the Walt Disney Studios in Burbank", a "one of a kind dinner experience inside DCA". There will be presentations featuring Sam McKim, Leonard Maltin & Tony Baxter.There will be a WDCC sculpture painting class, appearances by WDAC artists & sculptors, exclusive LE WDCC sculptures, animation art & logo merchandise for sale. (Remember, this is the convention where the Haunted Mansion Dangle & Jail Scene pins were sold).The convention is limited to 500 guests. Registration for previous convention guests until 12/1, then the public can book any remaining spots. Event only is $495 per person. Event & accommodations at the DL Hotel(2 nights) $707.75 per person based on double occupancy. Additional nights $212.75 per ROOM (not per person). Deposits are $200 per person, balance due 3/1/02.
