2000 loop party central

Anybody who reads these threads knows how bad I hate being assigned to the 2000 loop. Over the weekend there were 2 big groups of people camping in there. One was a big boy scout group and the other was a group of cubans that had some kind of St. Patricks Day party going on. Not sure if I'm politically correct but these people said they were cunans from Miami.

Anyway they had a total disrespect for the other fort guests and were IMO poor campers. If Larry thinks cupcakes clothsline is something he should come check this out. When we were looping we saw 4 OCSO cars and several Disney Po Po in the loop. One of the boys from the hispanic camp pulled a switchblade on one of the boy scouts. Asian Jason was on the scene and believe it or not they sent 2 families packing to Miami once they determined who did the knife pulling.

They had the loop completely blocked with kids riding scooters, bikes and of course golf carts. Mostly going the wrong way and telling people to watch out. Security practically lived over there. We had some friends near the CS closest to the group area and everytime we went to see them it took us 5 minutes to get through these people. Yesterday they decided to leave the loop and let the kids drive carts all over the fort and a lot were on bicycles sitting in the middle of the road and wouldn't move. I hope the rain paid them back today. Another thing they were doing is playing salsa music loud all night. My friend went to the CS near the bus stop and said kids were lighting firecrackers off in the shower area and the place was trashed. Supposedly this is an annual thing and they plan on next year already. It's hard to believe the fort didn't do anything. When I was at my friends site he stopped the security guy and asked why they just kept saying you guys need to stop and not enforce anything. No answer lol. If I was in that loop I think I would have left personally. If I was WDW I would decline next years ressie.

They really were that bad.

I had a hard time riding my bicycle through the loop with all the chairs and toys and people in the middle of the road.

The first group had a banner that said: "Shamrock Families".


Under it they set up loudspeakers on tripods. We could hear the music back on the 900 loop!

On Sunday, they all wore bright green T-shirts that said "Shamrock Families 3rd annual camping trip".

We saw cars and golf carts drive through the woods to get in and out of the loop because the road was blocked.

I agree, No way would I have wanted to be on that loop....

why didnt anyone just call the police ? thats the first thing I would have done, set the tone right off the bat, these things only go one way if they are not nipped in the bud

They were there. (Sheriffs), Disney Security was there, Suits and tie people were there (in the white SUV's), maintenance people were there.

In short, everyone was called, everyone responded, and NO ONE did anything except ask them to turn down the music..... temporarily.

The speakers stayed up and used for three days, the road continued to be blocked, the kids continued to drive the carts around recklessly, car horns continued to be leaned on (don't know why), cars and people were WAY over what is usually allowed.

I asked one of the maintenance people why this group wasn't required to be in the group area. She said because the group area was full, they put them in the 2000 loop. She said she thought they should have required them to rent the entire loop. She also said this group was one of the worst she'd seen.

We stayed in the 2000 loop in May 10 and this sounds like the same group that was across from us. We watched the kids show up with different bikes threw out the weekend and when they left there was a pile of about 20 bikes left behind. I assume they would just go by an untended bike and hop on! This caused me to start locking up our bikes now even for a quick stop at the C/S.

I have found that blowing my truck horn outside their campsite early in the morning is not only effective, but usually brings cheers from the other neighbors.

BAGPIPE MUSIC!!!!! When my kids keep me up late with noise they get the early am wake up call of Scotland The Brave!!!Play that loud and they would have thought the big blue and white monster was ransacking there camp

Well this is not what I wanted to read... I took a break from the dis boards since our last trip was not all that great. We were originally supposed to go camping but switched to a value. This year since we finally have gotten out on our own we are thinking about coming back down to camp, but everyone told me to request the 2000 loop now I'm beginning to think everyone was pulling a prank on me since I am a newbie lol. I wonder how bad the 2000 loop is in September or if I should request a different loop!

We have camped in the 2000 loop twice now and have had NO problems. Once was in October 2009 and again in April 2010. We like that loop.

I can tell you...beyond a doubt...that had this happened while I was there....DISNEY would have put us and all the other respectable guests affected by those morons up at the Poly ) I work too damn hard for my money which I fork over to Disney without hesitation. absolutely UNACCEPTABLE
