Two small contracts works well for planning split stays 11 months in advance or for doing alternate years at each resort, as noted previously. If both resorts have the same UY, it is easier to keep track of banking deadlines.
Since you are looking at two small contracts, think about your resort choices carefully. We own at AKV, and totally love it. Owning AKV gets you the 11 month window for value rooms and concierge. You can generally get the other room types most times of the year at the 7 month mark. Since you are looking at two 100 point contracts, it would only cost you $200-300 more to get a 100 point BLT contract and have the 11 month advantage for BLT-MK view or standard view. With the ages of your kids, being able to walk to MK would be great

. They can also watch the monorails from the balcony and see the castle during most of the trip

!
Don't get me wrong, AKV is awesome, and we almost always stay there. But, if you think you would want to have a MK view some time or have the advantage of walking to MK (or walking back after Wishes!), $200-300 is a small price to pay now. Keep in mind, of course, that the point requirements for the same room at BLT are higher than AKV, so 100 points is not going to get you as much. You may need 125 or 150, which takes the cost up a bit more.
Good luck with your decision!!
