Just been reading that a new book celebrating 20 years of DLP will be available soon.

Would appreciate anyone who spots this at DLP posting up their thoughts as I am thinking this could be a good way to have a vicarious DLP hit as we do not have a trip planned to Paris anytime soon :sad1:

Sounds like it could be a great addition to From Sketch To Reality :goodvibes

I saw that they are bringing one out. It does sound interesting, will have a look for it when i'm there:goodvibes

I ordered a copy yesturday via DLP Mail Order, I'll post some photos when it arrives.

Just had an email from DLP to say the book will be shipped via DHL and I should receive it within 10 days. :yay:

I hope it going to be worth it for €60.81 / £49.73!

Thanks folks. Would appreciate your views if this is a worthwhile addition to a Disney book library :goodvibes

How do you order the book?? I phoned the DLP Mail Order number and it went straight thru to an automated answerphone system in French and unfortunately i don't speak a word of French; and when I didn't select any options the call was terminated??? Thanks:thumbsup2

I'm hoping there will still be one when we go in a couple of weeks time. I'll report back if I manage to get one. :thumbsup2

Interested in this and had read about it.

The only issue I have with mail order is if you do it over email (they rarely answer the telephone!), you have to email your full card details which I'm not keen to do....

I have read somewhere that it is an LE - 5000 copies I think? Can someone confirm this?

I'm hoping to pick one up when I go in June but knowing my luck, they'll have gone by then.

Love my Sketch to Reality book (btw, there was someone trying to sell one on ebay for £399 the other day - not sure if it sold, was a signed copy but nonetheless the usual collectors edition one). So, if it's similar I'd love to see it.

Send an email to dlp.mail.order@disney.com

You need to include your full name, address, the item you wish to order.
Plus you need to include your card details, the long card number, start date end date, type of card and the name on card.

They do not need the 3 digit security code on the back of the card.

Items normaly take 10 days to be delivered and larger items are delivered by DHL.

I was told they do need it. My last order from March was actually held up because I forgot to send those and we had to e-mail back and forth a couple of times. :confused3

Hoo, thanks for that, it's been a while since I placed an order, maybe they changed the way they process the orders. I'll get back in contact with the CM who replied to my order to confirm.

Thanks!

Thanks. Just got the e mail with the details they need to charge me for my book and despatch it.:thumbsup2

I´m a little bit anxious to send all of my credit card information by email. so anyone can see and use them. :sad2:

What do you think ? Is it save ?

Any other optoins to get this book ?

:guilty:

I didn't like the idea much either, but unless you play phone tag with them for weeks you don't really have a choice. So far I didn't have problems.

I sent you a PM with an idea.

I was a bit apprehensive about sending them my credit card details; so contacted my card provider Natwest to seek their advice; and they confirmed that it was safe to send my card details in this way.:thumbsup2

I was going to wait until we were there in August to buy this but now I'm wondering if it would be a good idea to buy it by mail order, especially as we're only there for three nights and knowing my luck they will have sold out and not yet received the next shipment! It will keep the weight down in our luggage too as my eldest DD wants one as well.

Has anyone managed to get shareholders discount on it when buying by mail order?

Good question re Shareholder discount - would like to know too!

I read that AP discount cannot be used on this - apparently you can't use it on books? :confused3 But, not sure about Shareholders discount....

Received a reply while I've been at work - there's no discount which is a shame but never mind .....

I think I'm going to order our books now because it'll mean there's no worry about them being out of stock when we're there  it'll also mean there's going to be more room in our cases for other souvenirs   plus the exchange rate is the best it's been for nearly two years.
