I have a 2 year Preferred AP for Universal and they sent me renewals for another 2 years the last time. This time, I got only a renewal card for just 15 months. Anyone else seen the 2 year deal again or is the 15 months the best out there?

The buy a year get a year free pops up whenever...no one knows when and for how long. I got mine in the spring but they've also had it in the fall. After the two years, I think you can only renew a year at a time...at least that's what I do. If you have the 15 month, I would keep it.

Metro.. I love ALL those shows in your siggy!

Our 2 year passes expire in Oct... I we are racking our brains on which pass to get. How long are the FOTL's after 4? But another good deal on a normal 2 year pass would influnce our choice.

Thanks Laura! :teeth:

The main reason I won't upgrade to the Premier is the renewal rate being so high as opposed to $99.00 for the Preferred. For me...there is really no advantage to upgrading for Express access since I usually go alone and am not there that late. The free HHN ticket is cool but I purchase the Frequent Fear pass so I have that covered and valet parking doesn't make me want to upgrade. I'm sticking with the Preferred for now and should they lower the renewal rate, I might upgrade.

FOTL is important to us. We stay onsite for it. If I run just the numbers we work out better buying the Fancy pants pass with FOTL and just drive over to US in the evenings... Rather than staying 2 nights in a Kids Suite, each trip.

But then again, the walk from HRH to US is truely wonderful and I think I would miss it....

From what I was reading on the AAA South site, if you buy one year, you get 6 months free. So that would be getting an 18 month pass.. if that helps anyone with a decision...:hippie:

Let me guess, since I am in Indiana, I am not allowed to buy from AAA south? I will try to call them today (Saturday) to see if I can buy an AP from them. Cmon, Todd, tell me ahead of time...LOL...before I call them and make a fool out of myself..:confused3

The renewal rate on the Premier Pass is $189 but I don't know if you can upgrade to the Premier at the renewal rate or if you have to purchase the Premier for full price the first time, which is $289.

We love our premier passes because we are not early morning people, and enjoy arriving at the parks mid-day through the evening and just staying for a few hours each time. We get so much done with the after-4 FOTL. We have our second home in the area, so don't need hotel, so would never get FOTL with a hotel stay.

We also really enjoy the valet parking perk and the free water (which is about a $24 value per pass at current water prices in the park).

So it depends on how you like to visit the parks if the Premier Pass would be good for you.

FYI.. Preferred renewal rates are now $109.

Renewals on the preffered is ~107ish FYI! not a big difference though, I think they raised the price recently, since we renewed and got several different answers.

[edit] I guess thats what I get for leaving the page open overnight, LOL we renewed ours about two weeks ago

I think you can, but you have to do it at an office (here) in FL.... just go to the one in Orlando and show them your card.... AAA is AAA... just a matter of what office you are purchasing them from.
Same as Costco. The Costco by me in SW Fl has 3 months for the price of $89. The Costco in Orlando has buy one year and get three months free.. plus the deal my Costco has.. Yet, when I go online Costco, they only have deals for the Hollywood CA Universal.. nothing in FL :confused3 go figure that one...:upsidedow

Maybe they like me better. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

 :rotfl: I am an out of stater!
