2 weeks till October Chicago area DIS meet. Any more joining us for a day of sharing?

Maybe this will be a new starting point for me--being quiet on DIS meet threads AND at a DIS meet. Hmmm..... ;)
Not likely to achieve BOTH your goals, if that's what they are!! :p I'll bring a stopwatch to see how long you go actually being quiet at a Meet!! :p ;) :jester:

HA! Ask Jim about the last time he said "Do you ever stop talking?!" He made THAT mistake when we had been dating about four months. And hasn't made it again. Nor ever made ANY kind of similar challenge to me. He's generally quite eager to relay that story to others and explain WHY its not a good idea to challenge me like that!! :jester: :jester:

That's cuz certain other people are OVERPOPULATING on the thread (no names but a person starting with H, one with S and one with M). Geesh, they're taking over my role as the talker on the meet planning thread. Can't get a word in edge-wise. ;) :jester: ;) :jester: ;) :jester:
Guess that's my cue to hush up on this thread now ;)

Hey what is everyone up to on Sunday morning??? My girls want to see the Aquarium, I don't remember the name, is it open on Sunday?

KimRaye, does giggling count as talking? If so, DG loses for sure :p :p ;) Oh ya, she did say quiet LOL I've yet to hear a quiet giggle from that girl:jester:

Bunchkin, I vote for 5pm for dinner!

Great, the girls don't mind coming at all, but they requested something they would like. :) Oh, and they specifically requested no one smother them with hugs. lol

Just in case people have changed their minds or are bringing more or less people, can we get a re-count on how many victims..oops I mean people, will be going to Bennigan's for dinner. Total number in your respective party. And does everyone think 5pm is a good time??

And in my experience I have found that DG can talk till she's blue in the face......or was that blue in the tongue?? LOL!!!:p ;) :p :jester: :jester: :jester:

DW says it is OKAY to go!!!!!! We can come to the Dis meet but cannot stay for dinner . We have to go to Joliet for a football game at 6:00 pm. It will be kind of cool to meet you all.

Steve and Coleen

I have a question/suggestion here.

Why are we actually leaving the mall/food court at 5 PM or so to go to another restaurant? I think a Benigan restaurant will be on the crowded side at dinner time on a Saturday and there are plenty of food choices at the mall where we already are. Just a question.

I also think that by packing up and heading over to the other restaurant, we may 'lose' some folks who may not really be wanting to go to the restaurant and order another meal, but who might have hung around for some more time had we stayed at the mall/food court.

Any thoughts on staying at the mall/food court?

1 for my party i'm in for food either place but do agree with Dan.

Still looks like it will be only me... I keep trying but he won't agree to coming.

Serena, the aquarium sounds like fun. I wish I could go but I plan to be on the road on my way home before they even open up.

Dan you have a very good point there about moving to a different location. I know Battle Creek we just bummed around the food court from about 10:30 to 7 or so (some shorter, some longer) and that worked well. Okay and I am cheap, if I can have two cheap meals in a day I will be thrilled ;) :p

Great you will be able to make it. Steve, looking forward to meeting you both. :sunny:

Dan has a valid point here.

I for one don't care where (or if) we eat!

And that's one for the head count, Bunchkin!

I don't really care where we eat either!! It was just a suggestion since at other meets people had joined for dinner at a seperate location. And Dan is right, Bennigan's will more than likely be packed on Saturday evening.

So food court is fine with us!:)

Better late than never ... I think I'll be able to make it :). My family lives in Beverly and Mount Greenwood (nearby Chicago neighborhoods) so I'll probably make a weekend of it.

I'm looking forward to seeing Dan again (we met at a DIS DL meet in April 2001) and all the other DISers. I will definately come and my 3 year old DD may join me. My DH will probably stay home. I'll talk to my Disney-crazy family and see if my mother and sister are also interested in going. My mom, a huge pin collector, would enjoy the early meet too.

Let me know if you need an exact nose count :).

Well, due to even more commitments for the month of October, we will not be able to go to the meet after all. And we were so looking forward to seeing everyone. But after rescheduling and rescheduling again there is no way we can squeeze a meet into the schedule now.

Hope eveyone has a good time and we look forward to seeing everyone at a future meet and showing off our little man.....Hunter!!
