I can't believe it's 2 weeks tomorrow! Not even happy dancin' cause I feel so unprepared and too busy to think about it! We're off to DL and San Diego. Any great words of advice? I'm using my WDW packing list (atarted packing) and planning it pretty much the way I would WDW (got touring plans, etc ready). I feel so unprepared: Disney but a new Disney! There is something to be said for new but also something to be said for knowing exactly what you're doing and where you're going!!!!

Try not to compare WDW with DL. They are two completely different park experiences. DL is so compact and easy to get through. Hopefully the bay at DCA will be filled by the time you get there! Make sure to have a a Tigger Tail at Pooh's corner. NUM NUM:goodvibes The baked potato soup at Carnation Cafe is a bowl of heaven. Are you staying on or offsite? Have a fun trip:yay:

I love Disneyland! :thumbsup2  Hubby prefers to WDW by a long shot.

The French Market restaurant in New Orleans Square is a great place for lunch or dinner - very economical and great food!

Have a great time!

Here are some things not to miss out on:

Inside Disney
1. Eat at Cafe Orleans. Really yummy pommes frites, gumbo soup, and beignets. DH loves their montecristo. I believe the food served here comes out of the same kitchen as the Blue Bayou without having to pay the same prices as Blue Bayou. We always make a reservation at Cafe Orleans because we don't want to miss it!!!

2. Free coffee refills at the Main St. Marketplace (next to the Main St. Fruit Cart). Just keep your receipt from your first coffee purchase and you will get free refills for the rest of the day.

Outside Disney
1. The Dollar Store at S. Harbor & Chapman St. (next door to Target) sells Disney-themed souvenirs (pens, pencils, notebooks, etc.). Ideal if you have kids who need to buy some souvies for their friends.

2. Anaheim Garden Plaza, which has many restaurants -- Bubba Gump's, Cheesecake Factory, California Pizza Kitchen.

3. Mimi's Cafe. Great breakfasts. Inexpensive. We also enjoy dinners there. Check out their menu online.

4. Huntington Beach. Miles and miles of beach. Just lovely.

San Diego
1. Moonlight Beach in Encinitas. Beautiful.

2. Carlsbad Factory Outlet. Great shopping.

There's so much more...;)...I just love going to California  Have a great trip!!!

Have fun!

We prefer Pirates and Space Mountain at California over Florida.

Go on the Matterhorn for sure!

Eat a ice cream sundae at Burrr-Bank Ice Cream!

Do NOT miss the Aladdin show at CA. It is worth the lineup. It is amazing!

Have fun!
