2 Week Dream Disney Vacation NOW WITH PHOTOS!! Updated 7/24

Great pre-trip report!
I completely agree about the waiting game! We are scheduled to go to WDW on Thanksgiving day and it seems so far away!
Your trip sounds like so much fun! My husband and I were in WDW for two weeks on our honeymoon and it was fantastic! Just having the luxury of time allows you to enjoy so much more of the resort!
Can't wait to read more!!!!

:rotfl: If I didn't pack for DF, he would have nothing also. It would be like 2 shirts, a pair of shorts and a toothbrush . . . for 2 weeks!

I can't wait to hear about SSR. I made DF watch the DVC DVD last night. I figure it will take me a few years to convince him, so I better start now before we have kids!

What is it with boys and packing?? I am glad to hear I am not alone!!!

You are so making me want to stretch my vacation out to two weeks.:sad2: That whole, "Well we do have the free dining plan" is so making sense to me:thumbsup2 :rotfl:

I love the way you managed to get another trip to WDW.:rotfl:

Yeah, I am so happy for free dinning. I really can't believe we are going for two weeks! It will be so nice!!

I just found your report and I love it! :thumbsup2

We have many things in common:
-from MI
-Packed over the weight limit (which was VERY embarassing)
-Pack for DH
-Compulsive planner/replanner
-Thinking of our trip 24/7

I *wish* we could go for 2 weeks. I'm so jealous!!

Can't wait to read more.

Wow, we do have a lot in common! I love living in Michigan but hate being so far from Disney!!

I've been thinking lately how great it would be to go for 2-3 weeks! My trips are usually 7-10 days, which is great, but I'd love to try longer!

Looking forward to hearing about your trip! :) Great report so far!

Thank you! We keep extending our trips each year! It is such a wonderful place to vacation!!

I am happy to hear that you enjoyed your two week trip! To be honest I was a bit worried that we might get board.... but I just don't think that is possiable!!! Thanks for reading!!

I think you should definitely dress up for the MNSSHP!

How ever did you get your husband to agree to go again? My husband always wants to go to new places and refuses to go to Disney again!

Summer is already whizzing by! And for once in my life I am happy about it! Our small family trip in August is only 53 days away!! I decided not to do a pre-trip report about that trip; I will just stick to a TR and a dinning TR for that one once we return… so stay tuned!!

So back to our trip….

I have made a few adjustments… surprise, surprise!! Just minor ADR changes, nothing major. We ended up canceling our reservations a Boma because we are eating there in August with my family and decided we would really like to try as many new places as we can. So we replaced Boma with Chefs Le France, which I am really excited about! The other change happened when I found out that Spoodles had a menu change and I didn’t really see anything on the new menu that I thought Aaron and I would like. So after combing through menus for hours I found 50’s Primetime Café, the fried chicken is what did it for me!! Aaron and I love fried chicken!! The atmosphere sounds fun, I just hope I am in the right mood for it! The only downside to this meal is they had no dinner openings so I had to take a 3:40pm ADR, which is a little early for us…but oh well! I think I will try calling a few more times and see if anything opens up for a later meal!

I also discovered the Gospel Brunch at the House of Blues, which I am really excited about! I haven’t ordered our tickets yet but I plan on doing that this weekend! Between that and MNSSHP we should have a couple “different” things to look forward too while there!

I found these cute little Disney journals at our local dollar store; I plan on throwing them into my park bag for notes about meals and any other interesting tidbits that I might want to remember! The hardest thing about me doing a TR will be me having to remember everything…so journaling daily will be very important!

And last but not least this is my pin collection thus far......

I just found your pre-trip report. Great job!! :thumbsup2 2 weeks??? I would give my left arm for 2 weeks!!! :rotfl: I am getting interested in the pins, too. I don't have any yet, but that's because I can't find any now that I have been home. I bought a couple for my kids when we were there in January. I'm looking forward to getting them a couple more and maybe starting my own collection! ;)

I look forward to reading more.

Awesome trip report!! :thumbsup2

Love the journals! Did you get that at Dollar Tree? I will have to make a trip to the dollar store tomorrow :goodvibes

Only 67 days!!

I am getting so excited I can barley stand it!! Our family trip to WDW is only 32 days away, which seems unreal to me. I still can’t believe I get to go to Disney twice in one year!

I did get our Gospel Brunch tickets ordered this week with no problems. Other than that there has been no new changes. I am still calling every other day or so to try to change our 50’s Prime Time Café reservation but I am having no luck. I guess we will be having an early dinner that night!

I did go shopping a few weeks ago and got new clothes for our trips. I love having new stuff to wear on vacation!! I am having some trouble finding those Disney tops that you all are finding! I have looked at Target & Wal-Mart… no luck! I could order some online from Disney but I really like to try stuff on first! I plan on getting a few tops when we go with my family in August.

I am working on getting our tentative itinerary up here in a few days along with some more photos from our last trip!

You're getting so close to your tripS! How exciting!

Good luck finding the Disney shirts. I just saw some at Kohl's yesterday.

This PTR should have been named the trip of a million changes! Yes believe it or not we have changed something major again, but let me back up and explain.

This past week my husband’s brother passed away, which got the whole family together and thinking about going on a family trip (he has a BIG family). Everyone collectively decided on going to the Outer banks in North Carolina and renting a big ocean home for a week, the only problem is they want to go in March/April. Our vacation fund will still be pretty depleted from going to Disney twice (once for 2 weeks) and another weekend getaway next week. So we down graded to Caribbean Beach Resort and saved $1,800. This savings will more than pay for our family trip to the Outer banks and still leave money for another Disney trip next year. I am a little bummed but I will get over it, we were able to keep our free dinning with the new package (which is amazing) and I am sure CBR is a very nice resort. I will miss the workout facilities as well as being so close to DTD but for almost $2000 less I can deal with it. I am still going to be in Disney for two weeks with my hubby, nothing can beat that! :cheer2:

So sorry to hear about your brother in law. I hope that your family is all doing okay.

Sorry to hear about the downgrade too. But you'll still be at Disney World!!! Can't go wrong with that!
