2 wake ups and we leave for the Land! WOOT WOOT!

Thanks for sharing the pics! Awesome job on the costumes. My mom used to make our costumes. I wish i could sew or even have creative ideas for my DD LOL.

hi! I hope you don't mind a brief intrusion... this is actually travelmel but I'm trying to get 10 posts done on my DDC's new account so that she can begin her own TR that she's been dying to do!

Thank you so much and I'll post from my own account soon!

No worries!

Guess what???? I was told today officially that I am HIRED! So, I should be getting my offer call from HR on Monday- Wednesday next week! He said no issues with starting Nov. 3rd after my vacation and I'll be going to the team I've been working with for the past year which is awesome! The manager likes me and he's very laid back. My friend started in this position at $62K so I of course told them I wanted $65K haha. We'll see what they say next week...I can't wait! This job will mean so much to my family. We are trying to become debt free (minus our house) in 3-4 years. This will help tremendously! Of course our Disney trip does NOT help that, however we are using the stimulus check we got back in June so it's not taking too much off of us. Ok I'm babbling now, I'm just so excited WAHOO!

Oh and 15 days until DISNEYLAND!!!!

Too all you following this that are going to DL this weekend and next week...HAVE FUN and save some candy for us!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!

What wonderful news for you and your family!

Wow!! That is awesome! What great news!!!

I love EARLY ENTRY. My son and I were the first in line at Space Mountain on 9/29...the guy behind us offered $1 (one dollar) to switch places. Pretty funny stuff. never heard of that before. For $2 we decided to stay put. But I wondered if this had happened to others and how much $ it took them to change. There comes a point when greed takes over, i think! Good luck to you!

WOOO HOOO!!!

I thought I replied to this post way earlier but my computer must have pooped out during the send procedure

But YES!! Cool, congratulations!! Nice going and pip pip!!

ONE WEEK-ish!

*UPDATE*
So our plans to leave Saturday, stay the night in Fresno at the inlaws and drive to DL Sunday morning have changed. DN has made the playoffs in his pee wee football league...so, now we are staying home to watch him play Saturday and driving down 1st thing Sunday morning. So, we have 4-day park hoppers. We planned to use them Mon-Thurs and drive home Thursday afternoon sometime. I'm thinking that it's only $30 more to get 5-day park hoppers and we can go in Sunday night too. What do you all think we should do? I know Sunday it's opened til midnight and all the other days are only oppened until 8pm, I'm not even sure DD 2 1/2 can hang until midnight. Undecided for now....

$30 total? I think it's worth it.... BUT I also think that 4 days is enough to see/do what you want. Maybe an early night Sunday night might be what the doctor ordered? :confused3

Travelmel- That's exactly what we decided to do. Just take our time getting down there, check in, relax, tour DTD and come back for fireworks (if they have them, I hear wind has been really bad), and early to bed.

I was wondering...since we don't have our actual tickets yet can we go to the gate Sunday and get our tickets so we have them for Monday morning? We have an early PS for Minnie's on Monday. Thanks all!

Unfortunately, I have no idea about ticket getting. Being originally from So Cal, I've only been to Disneyland for 2 days twice in my life. I wonder if it matters how you purchased your tickets. For example, we used an online service.. I forget which one. But it saved us like $2 per ticket. But anyway... I'm not sure. Sorry!

P.S. I'm going on hiatus again... too hard on my body to sit at the computer. !!! SO SAD!! I hate when thing interfere with my dis-time!

SINGLE DIGIT DANCE, SINGLE DIGIT DANCE!!!
Yahoo, can't wait. I did my LGMH's and wil take some pics this weekend to show them. I think we are set!

Oh I am so excited for you. Congratulations on the new job.

Disney and other stuff update...

So, my new job will start 11/3 which is the Monday following my Disneyland trip. How perfect is that? I swear this was so meant to be. LOL. Sadly I don't get a paycheck until mid-November so that should be interesting.

I've been doing things to earn extra money for our trip and so far here's what I did/got:
- We used our stimulus check for hotel/tickets.
- I sold my laptop for $500 and kept $400 put away.
- I sold my elliptical for $100
- I sold our crib and dresser from when DD was in it for $150.
All these things I wanted to sell anyway, this trip just lit a small fire under me to get it going.

- After deciding to close my eBay business, I threw a few last things up in auctions and have about another $200 to transfer to my bank to cover gas and stuff.

- Oh and I have about 150 Disney reward points from my visa!!

I have no idea what to budget for this trip but I'm hoping to come home with some money still.

My nephew's playoff game is still undecided on time and location, so we are definitely just going to drive down Sunday morning. I think that will be perfect. We'll get there, check in if we can, rest, go walk through DTD and hit ESPNzone for some football. We are all huge fantasy football fans, so that will be fun. I'm going to make a PS since I joined the MVP club there. I need to do that end of this week.

I already have PS for Minnie and Friends for Monday morning, and for Rainforest cafe for Tuesday night. I think the rest we'll play by ear. DN is a picky eater and DD and DH and I will eat anywhere. I'm so excited, we'll be hitting the road this time next week WAHOO!

Oh and here's my bagallini, ready for our trip. Complete with Chip & Dale pirate pins and the LGMH I made.

Great job selling all your stuff off!

I can tell you are PUMPED and ready :goodvibes

Hi - Enjoying your PTR; I love the details about peoples' trips and you're great at putting them in the report! Congrats on your new job, now you'll really be able to enjoy the Happiest Place on Earth. I have a question for you - how did you sell your things; I have some items/furniture to sell and could use some tips (always need extra $$ for trips to Disneyland!). Looking forward to more trip report and pix!

Thanks for reading!! So, I sold my elliptical and laptop on Craigslist. I've sold a lot of things on CL and they seem to do fairly well. I sold my crib and dresser to my sister in law. I wanted to give it to them, but she insisted I take some money for our trip, so nice of her. I think your furniture might do well on CL. I also had a business selling boutique and name brand baby/kid clothes on eBay. eBay has changed a ton and I've been wanting to get out of selling there, but I had a few things I thought would do well, so I listed them on eBay over the past month or so. If you have any other questions, I'd be glad to help!

It's almost time!!!!! I see you are getting all ready. I hope some DISers notice your LGMH. I had some on my backpack but I didn't see any others. :confused3

ETA: No wait, I saw a lady with one while in line for Alice. But she was too far back in the line for me to say anything to her. I think she had her DIS name written in it.....Blue something. Anyway, maybe you'll have better luck!
