$2 travel games?!?

Hi all, I'm not sure if this has been posted or not. But I saw this on the Frugal Force blog and thought it was a great deal:

Taking a road trip with kids this Spring Break? If the thought of yet another car/plane/train trip doesn’t fill your heart with glee, you should take advantage of $4 coupons on Playsaver.com for games like Monopoly, Scrabble and Sorry.
Most people don’t realize that in addition to the full size board game, you can also use these coupons for travel sizes. I stopped by my local Target and the price after coupon was $1.99 . The travel games can usually be found together on a wall or end cap. Even better, some of the games have a $5 off coupon inside. I used the printable coupons for two of the games, then came back and scored travel monopoly for a whopping 24 cents!

I haven't tried it here in MD yet, but will in the next few days! I have printed off the coupons and no where does it state "not good on travel size." I hope it works!

I printed out the Catch Phrase one (know I've seen a travel version of that at my target), as well as the monopoly, clue, and scrabble ones.

Going on a 5-6 hr plane trip in 4 months so this will be perfect!

Thank you so much!!! I just got back from my local Target, picked up the Pictureka card game for $2. My Target was out of the travel games, employee said they had put alot of them on clearence a few weeks back mad:Missed it!). Wasn't sure if the coupon would fly with the card game, but it did. Of course I went to a young male cashier, they usually are easier going & let things go by without question. Going to try another store tomorrow, using these for Easter Baskets.

I'm happy it worked for you, Catgirl! Ans what a great idea to use them for Easter baskets! Man, I hope my target hasn't clearanced the travel games out or that they still have some! That would be great savings if they're on clearance and good with the coupon!

I tried this at Walmart last week and they wouldn't take the coupons. I may try again though....there's nothing on the coupon that says "board games only".
