2 sets of tickets attached to account

My parents are going on 2 separate trips to Disney World - in December of this year and end of January 2019. My mom has an annual pass but my dad now has 2 sets of tickets attached to his account, a 2 day ticket for December and a 6 day ticket for January. They want to make sure that his 2 day ticket is used first in December. When I've had 2 sets of tickets on my account, I made a "dummy" guest in MDE and moved the tickets for future use to that guest, however, I don't think they can do this since we need to make fastpasses for our January trip before they go on their December trip. Is the only option for them to go to guest services and make sure the 2 day ticket is prioritized?

Yes unless you reassign his 6-day ticket to the dummy account every other day of his trip. The FPs remain intact and it saves from having the prioritizing done at a ticket window.

Probably choose the prioritizing.

Yeah, reassigning it constantly sounds like a hassle so I'll just have them visit a ticket window to prioritize! Thanks!

I was coming on here to post a similar question, so I am going to piggyback. :o

We have 2 trips, January and March. Only DS6 and I are going in January and March. There are 7 total going in March, multiple reservations on my account for resorts.

I will be making FPs for March before we go in January.

Can I move our March tickets to our full names/nicknames as "dummy guests" and leave it, still make FPs since there are others on the reservations to group together to open the 60 day window for our tickets?
Ex:
Jonathan is one ticket, JT is another. (He goes by both)

I was wondering too about making fastpasses under the "dummy guest" and what complications would arise from that!

The only problem is the dummies won’t have MBs linked to them and you’d need to pick up a plastic card at a ticket window.

That may be faster than prioritizing but it’s still a needed trip to a ticket window.

Change Party for FPs is no longer an MDX function.

Thanks! That's what I was trying to think through but you did it much quicker than I could! ;)

SO, if I bought MBs when there in January, link to our "dummies" for march, we should be ok with this plan?

Yes go to GS and make sure it is prioritized and then after they use the ticket double check MDE to make sure the correct ticket was used.

We bought 2 sets of Canadian resident tickets back when they didn't have an expiry date: 4 day tickets to be used in January 2018 and 8 days for an April/May 2019 trip. Since they were Canadian Res tickets we needed to go to GS anyway to show our passports and activate at which time we also asked them to prioritize the four day tickets.

A few months later I logged in to MDE to link our resort reservation and in checking that discovered that my youngest's tickets had not been properly prioritized. Her 8 day ticket had been used not her 4 day to 4 days had been wasted. An email to GS got it cleared up pretty quickly and it wasn't a huge deal but if I hadn't discovered it until it was time to book fastpasses it would have been more of a problem.
