2 sets of Magic bands?

I just got an e mail from Disney saying my Magic bands have shipped. Just one problem. I received my magic bands about 3 weeks ago. I compared the 2 emails and they have different tracking numbers, so I believe they have sent another set of bands and I have no idea why. I don't have a split stay, haven't changed anything on my reservation. If I get a second set which ones am I supposed to take with me?

Just looked on MDE and it looks like they sent us all a plain gray band in the second set. I already received the ones I customized. I'm confused!

It doesn't matter - you can use them interchangeably.

I sort of have a similar situation. I thought you were allowed to use your old magic bands since the technology doesn't stop working until 2 years. So my boyfriend and I were going to use the ones we used last year but I got an email saying our magic bands have shipped. I don't know what they are sending; if they are different colors and non customized or if they are resending the ones we customized last year. I called Disney and they said either way you can use them and that they will all be linked to your Disney account.

You should be able to link the bands (you want to use) through the MDE, however my suggestion is that you take both sets with you to Disney so that if there is a problem, you 1) have bands that should/will work even if they aren't the ones you wanted to use. 2) You can have a CM link the bands (assuming they will work) that you want to use.

I think there is something screwed up with their system (surprise!). I got my magic bands awhile ago and just got another notification that there will be a.set waiting for me at the resort when I check in.
