2 rooms or 1 for family of 5??

I'm wondering about the same thing as clh2--if the kids are cousins and there is room in someone else's room, why not use it? I am in a family of 5, but my sister is a family of 4 and of course my parents are only 2. I didn't want to make everyone else get a cat. 4, or get 4 cat. 10s, so we got 3 category 6 rooms and technically my DS (who will be 6) is staying with grandma and grandpa--I have the connecting rooms with them, with my sister on their other side. Of course he may end up in our room anyhow but it made things much easier to put him in their room. We are doing the same for our night at RonJons.
