I posted a few months ago asking opinions on moderate versus value resorts, and am now wanting some info on split stays. I have been thinking since I want to try a different resort, but DBF prefers a value resort we can do a split stay. I have priced it out and am very excited with the results. I'm just wondering what is everyones experience with split stays?

just you and DBF - then they are fine. Any kids forget it.

much too hard to move kids around.

remember you would need to repack everything then unpack again. Some people not a problem - others they consider that work.

just depends upon you and DBF

We did a split stay in February. We started at CSR and moved to POR. It was very simple. We packed up the stuff the night before. We called the bell services in the morning. The took the bags. We went to a park. Went to POR in the afternoon. Checked in. Went to bell services. They had our luggage there and drove us to our room. Even brought the luggage into the room for us. It was great service.

The best part of the split stay was that we hated CSR, so it was so nice to go back "home" to POR. we love it there.

We did a split between POP and CSR, honestly it was a hassle with checking out at 11am and checking back in at CSR and our room not being ready until after 3. I didn't like CSR either, so we should have stayed at POP.

We split last year between the AsMu and the Boardwalk and again in two days with the AsMu and the WL. It was very easy!! Leave your bags with bell services, and go check in at your next hotel. We happened to get a room right away at the BW and spent the morning at the pool. We will do the same this time. All we carry with us is a change of clothes and our travel documents. We do have one teenager with us, no issues here!!! We will do it again!! A great way to see the deluxes without spending the money for the whole trip!!!

we also had a split stay, which was really simple..
just like you we packed the night before, left the bags in the room and went to the park, they were moved for us to the new resort, check in was really quick and easy...:cheer2:

Thanks for the replies. There are no kids here, just myself and DBF. I don't mind repacking, so if that would be the biggest challenge I think we will try it. :goodvibes Thanks again everyone.

We should start a support group for our traumatic experiences at CSR. We could invite i3utterfli82 too!

There are so many people on these boars who love CSR. I just don't understand it.

To the chelle3807, enjoy your split stay. It feels like two vacations.
