Hi guys,

I was hoping you could answer me two questions for our trip.

1. We have an ADR for dinner at Crystal Palace. Providing we pay adult rate for each of us (everyone in the party is an adult), can my mum eat the items listed as children's? She's VERY picky and eats like a bird (actually I've seen birds eat waaaay more than her!) Just wanted to check if that is ok or not? Is ordering from children's menus ok in the counter service places?

2. I was looking at the counter service menus on allears and saw that Cosmic Ray's do a:

1/2 Rotisserie Chicken - with Mashed Potatoes and a seasonal vegetable

This sounds like an excellent alternative to the fried chicken strips, however OH will not eat it with mash and veg, would they be happy to substitute fries instead?

Thanks for your help! :sunny:

All buffet items are "fair game" to diners. The kids selections are in one section of the buffet and she will be able to eat whatever she wants.

I would guess there would not be a problem with substituting at the counter service meal.

I don't know if they will subtitute or not...I tend to think they will. But I gotta tell ya that Rotisserie chicken was YUMMY!! Our seasonal veggie was glazed baby carrots (we went the week after Thanksgiving).

My sister and I both had some of the mac and cheese from the kid's area at CP last month. We *love* our mac and cheese and had to have some. I saw several other adults getting items from that area too.

Yup, as GoodFairies said, everything at the buffet is open to all guests who paid.

That's a different question. I believe the official policy is that the children's menu is for children, but if you want to do things by the book, just ask the CM. I don't believe any would tell you no.

The reality is that at counter service places, they have no idea who the food is for, so they can't police it anyway. The choice is yours. This is one I personally would have no problem doing.
...would they be happy to substitute fries instead?
Normally, I'd say absolutely. The only thing that makes me hesitate is that the lines at Cosmic Ray's are divided into 3 "bays" or sections. The chicken is at one bay, the burgers at another, and I think sandwiches are at the third. I haven't paid attention to how the kitchen is laid out.

If there is anything else at that bay that has fries, I'm sure they will substitute. (I always go to the burger bay, so I'm not sure what's offered at the rotisserie chicken bay) If there's not, and they can't easily transfer fries from another bay, it MIGHT be a problem. I doubt it, but its possible.

Carrots and potatoes were yummy too, this is one of the best CS meals offered.
