1) We are going in January and have ressies at SSR starting on Jan 24, and check out is Jan 31. My question is when can I call to see if they have OKW available?

2) We are going to be there for a week so Mousekeeping will only come once for trash and towel service right? So if that is the case how much do you recommend us leaving tip wise for Mousekeeping?

7-months prior to your check-out date is June 30th, where you can call to try to get OKW (it goes by calendar month, not "30 days" so even though your check-out is January 31st, your 7-month windows is June 30th).

You can call day-by-day 7months from your first check-out day. So begin calling June 25th and every morning until your last day is covered. I wouldn't imagine you would have issues booking OKW in January. There tends to be lots of room at SSR and OKW while others book up first. Were you hoping for the GV?
T&T will be on day 4. Leave what you feel is appropriate. We judge depending on how many are with us and how much there is for mousekeeping to do. $1 per guest per night tends to be a common base guide.

For trash and towel service, all they will do is take the old towels, rehang the new and remove the trash. Housekeeping is a non-tipped position, so we don't tip at all. Unless we leave a big mess or require extra help. When we check out, we usually put all the towels in the tub and strip the bedding off.

Megsmachine - Keep in mind that if you call day by day for your reservation and one or more of the days isn't available when you first call, there is a risk you will end up moving back and forth between SSR and OKW.
