me and my husband and my entire family just got back from Disney Sept 16th-- but i believe i am starting to become addicted:) We are looking for maybe going in March and then again in Sept-- we are wondering what are the crowds like around the week of March 10-17th? Its also my brothers and his girlfriends spring break and they were thinking of coming with us as well. I'm sure it will not be like going in Sept, and im sure more crowded.. If anyone has any experience with going in March-- and how hot it is there around that time of year. Also we were thinking about staying at WL for the first time-- i went to visit the resort one year and loved it, we just stayed at ASMU in Sept-- do you think it would be worth the money to stay at WL? Or just try to stay at a value resort again? Please give me the good and bad of WL and going in March thats so much:)

I can't help you with the Wilderness, I have never stayed there. A lot of people love it though, and it does look wonderful. I am just from the north and live among the pines, so it doesn't interest me enough to stay. There is a thread that has a bunch of information on the different resorts. I am sure they would be able to fill you in. I think you will love a deluxe resort though, and if you can afford it, do it. The thread is a sticky in that says WDW resort FAQ and information. The crowds in March can be thick as it is spring break for alot of people. Usually the week before and the week after Easter are the busiest. You are about a week before and will probably see the crowds building daily. It still is totally manageble, so don't let it scare you. The bright spot is that they keep the parks open later and have early openings too. I have gone every year for spring break ( I am not a crowd or heat person) for the last 10 years and I keep going back. So yes, it may be crowded, but still very enjoyable.

I have not been in March, and I would not go in March because of the Spring Breakers. Easter is March 23, 2008. I do want to go in the Spring, but not then. Disney weather is somewhat like the weather where I live and it can be warm one day and cold the next, so go prepared and wear layers.

I have however stayed at the WL and it was fabulous. My DH and I stayed there in August and were very pleased. We were on the first floor, which is a level lower than registration, but I paid for a Woods View room, but got a Courtyard view room with a king bed. I still don't know how, but we were put in a handicapped accessible room (I only request those when mom is going), but it was nice. Usually we sepnd alot more time in the park, but we really enjoyed some time at the resort this time. The pool is heavenly, so are the hottubs/spas, especially after a long day at the park. We did share a bus with the GF on the evening we went to DTD, but the bus still wasn't filled to capacity. We were the only people on the bus to MK one morning, however we were only going there to get to the Poly. The food in the food court was good, but then again, I like Disney food, even the chicken fingers.

If you have any other questions about the WL, please let me know.

I have never stayed during any kind of spring break, but I did stay in early March one year when Easter was in April and the weather was great and crowds manageable, probably a bit more crowded than September but to be expected. I love the WL, so much so that I purchased DVC points at the WL Villas in 2005. If you can swing it, I think that the deluxes give you so much more than the values or moderates. Deluxes are true resort destinations where you could actually vacation for a week and never even go to the park (I actually did that for a week one year). There are restaurants, kids activities, pools, hot tubs, boating, walking on nature trails, and bike riding to name a few. The lodge is self contained so if it happens to rain you aren't trapped in you room waiting for it to end. You can still go out to explore, eat, shop or people watch by the fireplace. You can't go wrong with the lodge.

We love the WL and are DVC members ar VWL. We also go every March. The weather is usually nice, but one year it was really, really cold. The crowds are manageable, but it is spring break. There can also be a lot of cheerleaders on property, because competitions happen during that time frame. However, the cheerleaders usually stay at value or moderate resorts, so that should not affect WL.
