IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A PARK HOPPER IS IT POSSIBLE TO ENTER 2 DIFFERENT PARKS? I AM AWARE THIS WOULD USE TWO PARK DAY ENTRANCES IN ONE DAY, I'M JUST NOT SURE IF IT IS ALLOWED.:confused3 WE WILL BE STAYING ON PROPERTY FOR 8 NIGHTS AND HAVE 9 DAYS PARKS PLUS WATER PARKS.

No, The only way to enter 2 parks in one day is with the park hopper. You would be refused entry into the second park without it.:dance3:

Exactly. The Great Disney Computer knows all.

The park hopper option costs a flat rate of $45 per ticket regardless of how many days your ticket is good for.

And to 4disneygenerations, I say this as a help and not as a dig: on message boards, typing in ALL CAPS is considered shouting and should be avoided unless you are, in fact, shouting. It's also more difficult for most people to read.

Are you sure? I thought if you didn't have a hopper and you went to a second park one day that you would just use a second day ticket. If you didn't buy a package, you would just go over to another park and buy another ticket, so why wouldn't it work the same way if you have a package?

The ONLY way to go to two parks in the same day is with a park hopper. Disney has that all figured out. You can't use more than one ticket in one day - period.

I suppose if you went to the gate and bought another one day ticket, you could do that, but why would you? A single one day ticket will cost approx. $70, with tax, and you could add the hopping feature to an existing ticket for $45 per day :confused3

You could buy a second base ticket if you wanted (this would be much more than the hopper option). You cannot use the same ticket at two parks on the same day unless you have the hopper option. The turnstyle at the second park will not let you in. The cast member gets a message that tells them you're trying to park hop without having bought the option. It will not simply charge you another day's admission.

Oh yes, we're sure. This topic is discussed by newbies and answered by experts at least once a week on various forums. If you do not have a Park Hopper, you can only go to one park per day. The computer system will reject your ticket.

If you want to enter two different parks in a day and don't have a parkhopper, you'll have to buy seperate tickets for both parks.

We were told on the phone that you could use a second admission to the parks on the same day. Then when we tried it in December the turnstyle wouldn't move. We ended up purchasing the hopper at the guest relations window. Had we been given correct info to begin with we wouldn't have even gone to the first park that morning. I say trust the DIS it is 99.9% accurate over the CM's on the phone.

Cheshire Figment, a WDW CM, hasn't weighed in yet, so to further educate the masses I'll post what she has posted in the past (slightly edited to remove info not relevant to this discussion):

The system is set up in such a way that you cannot use a base ticket that does not have the hopper option in more than one major park (AK, EC, MGM, MK) on one day.

If you have been to one park and attempt to use your ticket in another park on the same day, when you put it in the turnstile several things will happen.

1. The display on the Guest side will show "ACCESS DENIED".

2. The turnstile will not unlock.

3. The two line display on the Greeter side will show information about the ticket's entitlements on the top line, and on the lower line it will say "CROSSOVER NOT PERMITTED".

If the Greeter wishes, by pushing a button he can see exactly when and where the ticket was used last.

Depending on the Greeter, and how crowded it is, you will either be told your options at that time or told to go to either Guest Relations or any ticket window for further explanation.

If I have the time, or when I am in a booth, I will explain the options as follows:

1. Upgrade the ticket to a hopper (currently $45 whether one day or ten day and adult or child).

2. Go back to original park, as unlimited same day re-entry is permitted.

3. Just go away and don't bother me (actually I wouldn't say that).

Since Disney charges only $2 per additional day over five, $45 for a hopper, it does not make economic sense for Disney to allow use of an extra day on a non-hopping ticket to hop.

Thank you all for the info. To Cleverocks, sorry about the caps, sent while at work and screen is almost always set to caps for narrative reasons. I guess we can go to the water parks before or in the middle of a park day. Question then on leaving and reentering the park, is there a hand stamp or will the computer know I'm reentering the same park with the card swipe?

There used to be a hand stamp, now the computer system knows all.

So if I have a 7 day pass and I plan to only go to the parks for 4 days, I cannot use the other 3 to re-enter at night?

If you have a non-park hopper pass, you can only go to one park per day. You cannot use an extra day on the pass to go to a different park than the one you went to first. One day- one park unless you add the hopper feature.

Sure, you can go to another park - you just have to buy another ticket.

If you want to use your non-hopping Disney package, you'll have to upgrade.

But there is nothing stopping your from hitting the other park if you want to pay for it. :)

If you go to Epcot on Monday morning and then leave Monday afternoon, you CAN go back to Epcot Monday night; you can came and go to/from Epcot as much as you want on that Monday. But you CAN'T go to Magic Kingdom that Monday night.

If you go to Magic Kingdom on Tuesday morning, you can leave and then go back to Magic Kingdom that night, but you can't use an additional day to go to Epcot on Tuesday night.

Also, just to add to what CleveRocks just said, it would not take an additional park day to re-enter the same park that night. You can enter and leave the same park as many times in 1 day as you would like using 1 days worth of tickets.
