OK D sorry I don't know how to reply with quotes using the Android app but thanks for your response as always. Yeah that 1st quote for our repair STILL has me seeing red! I soooo hope that company calls back to see what we decide so I can LAUGH OUT LOUD at them! On the bright side we got one more opinion last night (that makes four) and we agreed we will probably choose them. Not the cheapest but we like their solution the best.

So our countdown continues to shrink and this means I need to start thinking at least about packing soon! Tonight the kids and I were talking at dinner about the trip. We are all sooooo excited.

I must say there is a small part of me that thinks we really should consider scaling back on a few plans to save some money in light of our upcoming repair. Specifically I am thinking of the Illuminations cruise which is about $300 and we were going to treat everybody to as a surprise. I just don't know. I think perhaps I will at least try to track our spending to stay under a budget but we are not that great at that. We need to get better though.

Christmas can also be light this year. This trip is really all I wanted and the dolphin swim the kids are doing will be their early gift for sure!

I totally understand. I would say - if you are going to cut back on anything, I would cut back on the cruise. It's a surprise - and no one would know that they are missing out on anything.

Budgets are not easy things to follow...

It will work out, I am sure of it, and you will have a wonderful time.

OK so we are now down to....FIVE days until we leave, six until we are in Disney! Just for fun tonight we tortured my FIL and mentioned how we cannot WAIT to stay in the place we will be the first two nights of our trip.

This weekend we will pack up the kids and some of our stuff too. I also have to complete travel packets for everybody. Did I mention I lost one of my SIL's tickets? I was hoping Undercover Tourist would send a replacement but instead they just sent a photocopy of the ticket...with instructions to have it replaced at the guest services at the park. Oh I hope my SIL can manage that okay.

Can't believe by this time next week we will be at the Magic Kingdom. Can't wait to see the holiday decorations at the parks again. Love this time of year there!

Yes that would be the logical place but I think this is a rare chance for the dolphin swim and I know the kids will love it. DH also thinks that is the place to cut back. I just don't think I can do that but he realty does not want to drop the Illuminations Cruise. Thanks D for reading...my one and only follower I think!

I think it's just that this PTR has gone on FOREVER...and most of those 13 pages is probably me talking back and forth about three different trips!

I should probably dedicate a PTR for just this trip...but instead I'll probably just do a trip report. Of course, I never finished my LAST trip report from our June trip!

So you all (and really it's probably just D here!) believe that thing about me not making changes to our trip, which begins in just five days! Yeah about that....

...so the talk this weekend between my DH and my FIL turned to Sanaa and how they REALLY want to go there. They said they would just fit in a trip there themselves...which was fine with me. Then I started looking over our trip and decided I probably COULD squeeze it in at least for this week. And so...we now have a new ADR! Dinner for Friday is now Sanaa at 5:20pm.

Now it may end up being a very light dinner, since we have a big lunch scheduled for LTT that afternoon. So we may head right from MK to Sanaa OR maybe we'll check into our room and then head there. I'm not sure. There really isn't much to do in the way of unpacking since we only have 2 nights lodging. Therefore a checkin after Sanaa would be okay too, then we could hit EPCOT for a few hours.

The other option will be on Saturday. We can leave Hollywood Studios and head to Sanaa for lunch, though I was kinda hoping to eat at Prime Time Cafe and having mostly milkshakes and appetizers that day. So my preference would be squeezing in dinner on Friday, after MK and before checking in if in fact our room is not ready when we arrive that morning.

So today I spent my day packing two of the kids for the trip. I may end up repacking them but at least all of the clothes are in one bag per kid so that there is no laundry to be done this week. I will probably pack for myself tomorrow.

Oh and most important...I added Minnie Mouse decals to my nails. I'll have to post photos soon of that.

I also used Touring Plans tonight and created a bunch of customized touring plans for our trip so I could really get a feel for what we can do on which days. We'll see if they work out but at least they may make good guidelines.

I still can't believe we are so close!

Believe me, I think Sanaa is pushing it for us as well, especially on the same day as LTT, but I suppose we can just have a light dinner!

Packing is done for the most part for me. I still need to reorganize the kids' stuff and get the oldest DS packed as well. Maybe tonight. Plus I have to pack the "entertainment" stuff and electronics...it's own bag for the most part!

DD10 nails...they are way too small to fit a Minnie decal. I might be able to put a decal on her toes...but we'll see.

Tonight I've put together the packets of info for all parties involved, to include schedules and such. My SIL will have a more detailed packet with information about airlines and tickets and all that stuff that she's not used to dealing with and I just hope she can understand it all since we will be on the cruise when she is leaving for the airport!

I've started another PTR by the way, dedicated just to THIS trip. I'll have to add a link in my siggy!
