What I heard in a news conference today seemed to encourage those "protests, vigils, expressions of outrage". SMH.
"...And I would just ask those who question the sincerity or legitimacy of protests and vigils and expressions of outrage who somehow label those expressions of outrage as quote unquote political correctness, I just ask folks to step back and think: what if this happened to someone in your family? How would you feel?..."

Don't people have a right to protest or hold a vigil or be outraged? There are plenty of people outraged right now about what's going on in Dallas with these snipers attacking the police. We have the right to feel that way. We have a right to hold a vigil for these ambushed police, just like the protesters out today had a right to hold vigils and protests over deaths in their communities. Our First Amendment guarantees our right to protest and hold vigils. Plenty of vigils and rallies are held all the time without violence.
Actually more horrible.... This was planned execution. If this had anything to do with the protests beyond opportunity, then it is beyond senseless and counter-productive.
Thoughts and prayers to the slain and wounded officers and their loved ones.
Every bit as horrible as the deaths the past couple days.
Actually more horrible.... This was planned execution.

Do you really need to ask that question??And you know this how?
The track record for these protests STAYING peaceful over the past year or so has not been very good.
