2 Happy Diners+1 fussy kid's quest for Grilled Cheese do DDP Updated-FIGARO FRIES!!

Hey all- so sorry for the delay- I have been so busy-argh but so excited to be going may in 1 year and 2 days!

ok- Day 3- originally had ADRS- 7:40 am ( nuts!) for Kona's at Poly cause one of my top must eats for this trip was the Tonga Toast! well as the trip got closer I had remembered reading another TR- the one with DASANI- thank you Dasani Girl! and she said that she didn't like to eat big breakfasts but her gang wanted Tonga Toast- so she suggested eating at Captain Cooks ( CS restaaurant in POLY) and only having to use a CS-

we Cancelled the Kona and headed for Captain Cooks- what a cute little place- sooo much nicer than eating at the cafeteria in AS Sports- we sat by the window and had such a pretty view of the pool and foliage- ahhh what a nice way to start your day!

We got to CC's at 7:30 and were headed to MK that day- so I knew we were going to make it to the Rope Drop- and this would be all of our FIRST TIME to the Rope Drop- yippee!

DH and I decided to share an order of Tonga Toast

IMG_1641.jpg

It is really almost self explanatory- Insanely rich- insanely delish- large stuffed bread- I think it is sourdough- stuffed with Bananas- then deep fried- then coated with sugar- and then we added Pancake Syrup- soooo goood!a must try- but definitely share this-or you will seriously not be able to walk around the park! this was mine and DH first time trying this and 2 thumbs up- BTW at this point of the vacay DH is now loving the Dis boards and will not say another bad thing about my obsessive Dis research and planning for the rest of the trip!

( time out though- short lived- and so ironic as the boys are now making fun of me as I type away-dh asked this- if money werent an issue- how long could you do disney- park every day without getting sick of it? How long could I do it?- thats a toughie- told him I would get back to him-hmmm sounds like a poll question...)

ok back to reviews- I can handle their heckles!

Eeyore got the Mickey Waffle and Bacon

whoa- is that a smile! needless to say he ate every last bite! I tasted part of an ear- and oh man these were yumm-super light and fluffy- had a really nice taste- this is on my list of must eats next year.

Also got an Apple, strawberry Milk , cereal and waters- to count as our 3 CS credits

Captain cooks is a great place to start your day- nice atmosphere- great selection choices for breakfast and best of all- you can use a CS and save TS's for other meals! we will definitely be back next time..

up next.... Popcorn, Figaro Fries and Cosmic rays- sounds like a well balanced day of food!

Subbing...popcorn::

Great suggestion about the Capt Hooks!

I am curious - Does anyone know if it is possible to just have coffee (and just pay for coffee) at this Donald Safari character breakfast?
I would be going along with the group.

Thanks,
sp
I've done it, I went to Chef Mickey's with some friend for an early breakfast, I can't eat that early so I just sat and had an OJ. I was not even charged for that.

I have read that they assess an entertainment fee of like $5 for those who come in but don't eat. I didn't get charged that but who knows what they are doing now.

Can't wait to try Tutto...Those Profiteroles look worth it in itself!

Hmmmmmm.:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

did you drive to capt cook's ? After everyone talking about how good the tonga toast is we may have to try it. Just wondering how you got to the Poly so early. thx

we actually drove from our resort and parked at Poly- and left our car there for the day and took the monorail to MK for the day- not sure if this was a boo boo- after I got home and read postings on this board- I kinda got the feeling that we probably weren't supposed to do that- although we had no troubles whatsoever- it was actually really pleasant to be able to ride the monorail to MK from Poly and then back at night- oh well- live and learn!

and thanks for reading!

I love your sons' face looking up from his mickey waffle...priceless!!!

When I retired, the retirement committee gave me a fork with the inscription: The Best is Yet to Come..well, any time I can I have dessert first just to be sure I have room for it:)

Holly Springs is very nice but it's growing like crazy! We just got a super wal-mart. I hope it doesn't go downhill from here! :flower3:

and thank you to all who stuck around- so sorry for the delay- I have just been swamped with work and home.
