(2) Gosselin kids expelled from school for bullying

The Post talked to a source who said mother Kate Gosselin is trying to keep the situation out of the media so she can deal with it privately.

I imagine the ideal time to make the decision to keep her children out of the media was about 6 years ago.

And do I watch the show? Abosultely.Positively.Freakin'.NOT

Those poor kids....they really have no one who is concerned for their best interests.:sad2:

The kids are in 1st grade, right? I seem to remember some hitting and pushing going on in my DD's first grade. Being physical with classmates is not uncommon with 6-year olds but it was dealt with in ways other than expulsion.

FWIW, I don't have a dog in this fight. I don't watch the show and I think both of the parents are jerks. I just feel sorry for the kids and I can't help but think that maybe the school overreacted for some reason. Maybe they are tired of having the Gosselin kids as students and are making things difficult in hopes that they will leave.

I actually think I read the Demi Lavato, (sorry, don't know how to sell her name) anyway, seems that I read that she was bullied after she did her first show. I have also heard that of other child starts ,when they went to regular school, they got bullied. Most people seem to think that kids would want to be friends with a "celeb" but apparently it is just the opposite, this is why a lot of child starts are tutored, along with not having time to go to school.

The same thing happened with Taylor Swift once she started getting some regular singing jobs. The eventually had to move it got so bad.

Thats what I thought too. In a strange way I really hope they actually did something serious and were not just expelled for normal kid stuff. Perhaps it was ongoing and the school had enough??
I feel badly for the kids...they are so darn cute!

Tom Daley is the british high diving teenager, his parents had to take him out of school when other pupils threatened to break both his legs.
:scared1:

I blame lack of HFCS.

:lmao: You're on a roll today.

I agree. And I'd have a hard time labeling any 6 year old as a bully.

Unfortunately, I think the kids' lifestyle has contributed to any poor behavior they are exhibiting. They go on fancy trips, they have "staff" that follow them around. People literally jump through hoops to keep the kids happy so they can get the shot they want for the show. They get interviewed about every aspect of their lives.

I can see how some of the kids, through no fault of their own, could have developed an "I'm better than you, I'm special and you're not, I'm entitled to everything and you're not, I'm on TV and you're not, my clothes are better than yours, my house is bigger than yours" attitude. I can also see how this attitude can carry over into bullying if they verbalize it to other kids. It's sad. I think it's time for them to kill the show and focus on being a "normal" family. It's got to be hard enough to help the kids adjust to the divorce without inviting cameras to follow them around.

"Bullying" is the latest thing for people to carry on about, but I wonder if these kids are acting out because they have learning disabilities.

LDs are fairly common in multiples. Human beings aren't meant to have litters; it's why they happen so seldom naturally.

Rage issues? 3 of the 8 expelled so far? Hitting? Making fun of? Calling nasty names? Fighting?

Again, if this is true - is anyone surprised? :confused3

I'm not surprised ..but probably not the way you meant.

I'm not surprised at the statements by a "family friend" who also says Jon doesn't know where they get it from. So not surprised that one of Jon's friends would try to paint Kate as the bad evil person raising the kids to be bully's.

My youngest daughter was suspended from nursery school when she was 3 years..she pushed a little kid down. Does that make me the bad evil mom who taught her to do that??? Don't think so. Kids learn from all kinds of situations...not just from the home.

HFCS - :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Bullies at 6 years old - I am NOT saying that these kids are bullies, but the absolute WORST bully/queen-bee ever was in my sons' pre-school.... Age 3 :scared1:

Multiples - yes, there are a lot of factors, from learning disability to psychological factors that are probably in play with this kind of multiple...

and, 'litters'... :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I see your point. I think it's sad that these kids are apparently following in their mom's footsteps. She is a major bully IMHO. I find it sad that a 6 year old would be expelled from school, especially when their siblings are still there. I wonder if these kids consider homeschooling a punishment or a reward?

These kids were premature and are part of a multiple birth. Anyone who is suprised they have behavior issues-especially at a private school-is naive. Yes, their homelife has been unusual but there are 6 kids, all the same age in their family-ususual for any family. Leave them alone. Shame on whoever leaked this information to the public. fyi-I don't like either parent from what little I have seen but it's a false look and not really worth considering in real life.

Agreed - and Jon has "issues" as well..:sad2:

And if they're going to be home schooled, wouldn't it be better for them all (at least the little ones) to be home schooled? Honest question as I don't know the answer..:confused3

However, I hope the parents - in this particular case - are not the ones doing the home schooling and have hired a professional tutor who specializes in dealing with multiples and the kind of lifestyle these kids have been subjected to since practically day one..
