2 For The Price of 1: One Trip Done; One More to Plan!

Ahem. Excuse me? I thought that you didn't want to be "appropriate?" :rotfl2:

Jeff and I will be trying Tutto Italia next week so I can add some more reviews for you!!!!

I can't wait to hear the review!! The cannonnilli (??) looks absolutely scrumptious!

On the DDP, you KNOW I'm a fan! I think your plan sounds solid. My only comment about Tutto is that it's expensive if paying OOP. Therefore, I think your plan to use the DDP for Tutto dinner will work out to save you money, and use your DDE discount at Le Cellier. If you ARE going to do the DDP, make sure to get the profiterolles for dessert at Tutto. :thumbsup2

As far as DTD restaurants on the DDP, they usually add them later. Since DTD restaurants are not owned by Disney, they have to negotiate contracts and usually add them later. When we went to WDW in May on the DDP, we had several DTD options including Raglan Road, Earl of Sandwich, Wolfgang Puck, Planet Hollywood. It did NOT include Fulton's, which I know you like...but it DID include Raglan Road, which I also know you like. AND Earl of Sandwich was considered Counter Service.

Also, if you are thinking casual and whimsical at DHS, you might like 50s Prime Time. I thought the food was really good and comforting. Five star dining it IS NOT, but fun and casual it is for sure.

Hope that helps!?!

Thanks for your thoughts, Alan. I was leaning towards 5OsPTC also - just have to check my schedule to see if we'll be at that park during a dinner hour. We are eating a late lunch there in Nov., so there's a small part of me that doesn't want to repeat it again in Feb., but there are such slim pickings in DHS. It's a very fun place though!

Thanks for the DTD info also. VERY HAPPY to hear Raglan Road may be on the DDP. We're eating at Fulton's in Nov.; so it will be RR's turn come Feb.!:woohoo: But I'm thinking I may pay OOP for that meal and just use my DDE card for the discount. That will leave me with one more TS credit - which we'll use at Tutto's on Wed.:thumbsup2

Take pictures, please! And I don't care if it embarasses your husband; it's your DIS-duty!

Everything I've seen looks scrumptious!

It's so funny. I'm sitting here at the table, typing away about this "surprise" trip and Lauren is sitting right next to me doing her homework. SHE HAS NO CLUE! She's too involved in her geography project!

I hearby solemnly swear, for the benefit of my DIS buds, and to the everlasting scorn I will take from my husband, that I will take lots of food porn pics in Disney!

And Cammie, remember the last time you planned a surprise trip for Lauren??? You'd best be careful!

I have been wondering if Tutto is worth the credits guess we'll find out!!:3dglasses

Karajeboo-please take lots of pics...we will heap enough praise to even out hubby's scorn, I promise!!

He's really going to think we're freaks now!

Yes, I remember. But I PROMISE I'll keep my mouth shut this time. Afterall, we have our Nov. trip to obsess over right now. I'm thinking, though, that I'll probably tell her sometime around Christmas - or right after. I imagine she will start bugging me about planning her 13th birthday party some time around then (her friends who are having parties in Dec. are already making plans), so I won't be able to put it off for very long.

Karajeboo-please take lots of pics...we will heap enough praise to even out hubby's scorn, I promise!!

You got that right!:thumbsup2

We are going to the Space Launch Monday Nov. 10. If it gets cancelled we will be at the Studios Monday.
Maybe I"ll see you on the Boardwalk that weekend.

Sorry to hijack a teeny bit...

A space launch! I had no idea one was happening on November 10! We'll be down there at that time too-where can we find out the details on it? My DH would looooove to see it.

We saw a space shuttle launch once - it was awesome! We happened to be staying at the Contemporary and had a fabulous view right from the room. We had no idea it was happening that night so we were very surprised. It was a really cool thing to see - I hope you get to!

We were there a few years ago for one and just saw the tail end of it (literally). I remembered it right in the middle of our dinner at LeCellier and we ran outside. There were quite a few people gathered around, watching. I know alot of people will drive down to the space center but the only problem with that is it could be cancelled at the last minute for the tiniest reason and then you're out of luck. I think if you just find out the time it's scheduled for, you should be able to see it from WDW.

We got some good news regarding our upcoming trip........

One of Amanda's nurses will be able to join us for our last weekend!:woohoo: Usually, I don't like having someone come along to help because I like to keep our Disney trips for just us - our family time. But the reality is that it's getting harder and harder to care for Amanda by myself for a whole week. I have this one nurse who helps at home that I really get along with: she's a little bit younger than me; she's fun; and GREAT with Amanda. So I decided to ask -- and she's able to do it! She'll fly down on Friday and obviously will be with us on the flight home late Sunday night. I'm so happy and relieved to have her for those three days. It will give me a break towards the end of our trip when I'll probably need it the most; and having her help on the plane ride home will relieve Lauren of alot of the responsibilities I usually dump on her.

I've booked our Magical Express seats and have also ordered our tickets for MVMCP. Once those things come in the mail, I'll post the pictures (because I'm sure you're all curious as to what they'll look like! )

I am now working on our countdown calendar - which I want to have ready for our 30 day mark. I've never done one before (and I am soooo NOT crafty) but I have an over-abundance of Mickeyheads from Home Depot (I went in to get some to send to another DISer, brookelizabeth, and I took a "few" extra for myself!), I figured I needed to make one for at least one of our trips! I'll also soon post our daily plans for this upcoming trip!

It's less than two months away!!!

I am so glad for you- it sounds like having that nurse at the end of the vacation will be a huge help!! Good for all of you...

Did you get my pm? We're going to stay at BWV on our last night, so we can check it out in case we feel an urgent need to add on this year (which I can guarantee we will!!:thumbsup2 ). Nothing beats walking home from Epcot, right? We've just always stayed at BC, so would like to see the difference-

Thanks for reminding me to book ME!!

Ellen

I never got the PM.:confused3 So does this mean you're at BW on Friday or Sat.? Either way, it makes it easier for us to meet up at the ESPN club on Sat., right?

Your ADRs look great! I think we want to try Tutto Italia this trip, too. At DTD, there will be a new T-Rex restaurant - I think they want to compete with RFC. It has a very small menu in comparison, but I like a new adventure. Here is a preview link:

I'm glad you got a nurse to come on your trip for Amanda! :yay: It will be so nice for you to be able to relax a little, and for Lauren to have a little more time to stay out late, or whatever! :thumbsup2

That's wonderful news that you'll have some help with Amanda on your last three days! It sounds like a win-win situation. Also, congrats on getting you ME reservations....I can't believe your trip is only 2 months away!! :cool1:

That's great news about the nurse coming along! It will be so much easier for you to just enjoy your time with your girls. We are getting ready for our November trip (the week of Thanksgiving) and the kids are so excited that I'm putting the countdown calendar up in just 36 days! Here's what I made out of the Home Depot mickey paint chips.

Underneath the numbers I put Disney stickers-

I laminated the poster and all of the mickey head numbers so it can be reused for each trip. If I have time, I'm going to add a trivia question underneath each number and the boys will get a prize with each correct answer-I'm thinking Disney dollars or goodies for the trip.

You never got my pm because I sent it to Camster, not you- oops!:upsidedow
Anyway, the cruise ends on Sat, Nov 8th, so we're renting a car and going to Aquatica for the day, then checking into BWV for Sat night, flying home 8:30 pm on Sunday night. I was really looking forward to staying at OKW, but that will have to wait for another time.

Good news about Amanda's nurse being able to join you on your last weekend!

Can't wait to see the countdown calendar! :cool1:
