2 Foodies on a 15-day Disney Extravaganza! LOTS OF UPDATES! First-Timers PTR!

Hey Everyone! And welcome to my PTR!

In honor of our 150-day mark I decided there would be no better way to celebrate other than starting a PTR.

This will be my first ever trip to WDW and I am BEYOND excited! All throughout my childhood I wish and prayed to go to "The World" but my parents always shot down my idea, saying we lived less than an hour from Disneyland so instead we would take trips to Mexico and Hawaii.

At the beginning of June I decided to take matters into my own hands and called Disney and priced out a vacation plan. Before hanging up I had booked my stay! I never knew how affordable WDW actually is!

Ever since then I have constantly been on Dis, researching online, reading guidebooks and re doing my ADR's multiple times. Please feel free to add advice where you see fit!

This is my first PTR so please bear with me and most importantly enjoy the ride! ​

The CM's of this trip!

Niki! (Me)-
Loves all things Disney! Grew up loving disney cartoons. Frequent Disneyland Traveler (first trip was before a year old, one trip per year, got my first AP this march!) First trip to WDW. Extreme planner but still fun loving. Big Foodie! (Chef) Loves all kinds of attraction! Favorite movies Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, and Princess and the Frog.

DBF -
Likes Disney (not nearly as much as me) puts up with my constant taking about our trip, and ADr's. Frequent Disneyland Traveler. Had an AP when he was little and would go to DLR "just to get corn dogs". Been to WDW once, but went with someone affiliated with Disney so this will be a whole new expierence for him. Loves roller coasters and thrill attractions. A go with the flow type of guy. Major foodie (loves a good steak). Favorite Movie - Bugs Life

Our first Disneyland trip together as a couple was on DBF 18th birthday and he is about to turn 21 in a month! We have gone a handful of times together throughout our years together (birthdays) and we recentley got AP's so we can spend more time there this year (My idea but he still plays along)

We are having out 4 year anniversery this November so I thought that was the perfect excuse to go to WDW!

The Plan!

Part One:
We are lucky enough to spend 9 nights and 10 days in "the world"!

Dates: November 29th - December 8th
The Hotel - Port Orleans French Quarter
Tickets - 10 day Magic your way tickets with Park Hopper option
Dining - Deluxe Dining plan for 10 days!

Heres where things get interesting,

Part Two:
we are currentley booked for a 4-Night Bahamian Cruise on the Disney Dream leaving Dec. 9th! This is my first ever cruise (trip of many firsts!) and my first time to the bahamas so I am beyond excited!

For the night of Dec. 8th I need to book a room at a value resort so we can sleep and head out to Port Canaveral in the morning to get ready for our "dream" cruise! Which reminds me, I need to book that room!

And now time for the Infamous ADr's! I have changed and rearranged my ADr's so many times now that I have lost count! I hope to keep them the way they are after their zillionth change but please be patient if they do change another hundred times or so! I'm still waiting on the Be Our Guest reservation which I will make at the end of August. Now without further ado......

You've got some good ADRs right there... if i could recommend a restaurant i would say try and keep you Artist Point ressie if ya can. It is a really awesome restaurant... maybe try to ditch the Yachtsman's dinner for Be Our Guest... if you have the option of course... it should book up quick... i too am planning to make a ressie there!

While out shopping today I found this lovely hat that I thought would go perfectly with the mickey swimsuit I bought for my cruise! I know its super early but I love fashion! I will keep updating with new outfits i purchase (which will be more often than not), I need 15 days of perfect outfits Happy 4th of July ​

Also, I totally understand about your DBF... I am so glad I'm going away to college this year because my family HATES it when i talk about nothing but WDW... Thats what the DIS is for... right?

Haha yes! They're all soo sick of it!! I called my dad yesterday to see if I could go over there and use his computer's Excel program, when I told him it was for WDW planning he said no way!

Good Morning to all my lovely readers!

Yesterday I got the bug to do some online window shopping! I'm trying to get an idea of the things I like for when it comes time to purchase everything for my trip. Well I started out picking sun dresses and summer attire, silly ol' me for some reason thought it was going to be hot, hot, HOT, during my trip! Well somehow I got the idea to ask Dis to make sure, and guess what! I couldn't have been more wrong about the weather. Thanks to all the lovely DISers I now have a MUCH better idea of what to pack for my trip.

So Layering is key!

Here are some of the things I liked on my online window shopping spree (Most dresses will be worn with tights!)

(I like this red one for MVMCP possibly, and I would wear it with coat, and tights)

(I like the dress below, for a WDW dinner or even Cruise Dinner)

(Another possible dinner dress below)

(Some resort day dresses)

(And lastly one last dinner dress)

I'm also keeping a look out for some capris, jackets, sweaters, polo shirts, ect ect.
And I know this might not be the "norm" for some people, but this is how I like to dress and its what makes me happy. And yes, I am comfortable when I dress this way. Our trip is a long one, so we will be taking our time in the parks, taking in everything there is to see in, and most importantly, just enjoying our time together. Its our romantic getaway for our anniversery .

And now, making his grand appearance, our little boy! Leonidas! He is the love of ours lives, he really is like our child. Leo is a mini Dachshund, and his 3rd birthday is quickly approaching (I cant believe my little boy is almost 3! )
